Cottage on the Crick-Sits right on Pine Creek

This cottage is nestled between Pine Creek and Route 6. Located approximately 12 miles outside of the historic small town of Wellsboro, PA and just 10 miles away from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Within walking distance of the Log Cabin Inn and Canyon Cruise where you can rent rafts, kayaks, canoes, and bicycles. Plenty of tourist attractions and things to do within a short drive. Or even just relax and enjoy Pine Creek right from the yard on the porch swing or hammock.
This three bedroom home was recently fully remodeled with a two story addition. Home includes a well stocked eat in kitchen, 2 full baths, washer/dryer, water filtration system, and central air/heating. Outhouse in yard includes a third bathroom with shower and small kitchen area/refrigerator and sink (see kitchenette and bathroom 3 photos).

Sleeping arrangements include:
Downstairs bedroom: Queen bed with sitting area.
Upstairs bedroom: Queen bed, sitting area and desk
Upstairs bedroom: bunk bed (double bottom, twin top, twin trundle) and couch with pull out queen sized bed).
Each bedroom has it's own TV with netflix access.

Yard includes a charcoal grill and fire pit. Splash in the creek and fish right off the front yard or take a short walk to the swimming hole under the bridge.

*Dog friendly, limited to 2 well behaved/house trained dogs with approval. Dogs are not permitted to be left in the home unattended (may be crated).
*Outhouse/kitchenette are seasonal only and closed during the winter.
*We are near Route 6 so there is a potential for road noise.

Clean and comfortable

The property is in a beautiful location and close to restaurants. Second time there with friends and it is always clean and has everything we need for a relaxing weekend!

Lovely time at the Cottage

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage on the Crick! There is so much to see and do in the area, but no need to leave if you’re just looking for a wonderful place to relax. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Great getaway!

We enjoyed our stay and everything was as pictured. We received a warm greeting and had someone reach out quickly when we had some questions on the internet. It was a great place to relax and getaway.

Relaxing Getaway

We stayed at the Cottage by the Crick for 3 days, It was an outstanding few days at a beautiful cottage with all the amenities that you could ask for in a home away from home. Pine Creek was awesome to float on tubes. Short trip to PA Grand Canyon with amazing lookouts. Trip to Gary's Miniature Golf and amazing time spent with family. Great short vacation!

The property was perfect! Clean, had everything we needed and more. Loved fishing right in the backyard, campfires and an occasional Netflix movie. Nice to have 2 good restaurants within walking distance. Close drive to Grand Canyon of PA and state parks including Cherry Springs to see the stars thru the telescope. I can’t say enough nice things about the property and owners! Hope to go back again soon.

Perfect family getaway weekend

This was exactly what we were looking for. Creek access was wonderful and the owners generously supplied cornhole boards, firepit, hammock. My husband and son caught fish right from the yard. House immaculate!! Beds super comfortable and we will definitely stay again. Owner communication was lightning fast and courteous. The only suggestion we would add is just a suggestion but maybe a little more seating in the living area so a family of 4 could enjoy that area together but that would definitely not deter us from staying here again. We loved it.

Cabin on the Crick in October 2022

Very nice cabin. Quality construction and furnishings. Convenient location. Log Cabin Inn across the roadway has a cool feel and good food. The Cabin is Very Close to Route 6 and truck traffic. Nice stream flows in front of cabin. Close to Wellsboro and easy to get to State Parks in the area. Not a quiet location, but lovely cabin. Enjoy !

Great getaway in the mountains

We had a great time relaxing at the cottage and exploring all the area has to offer! Clean and quiet, with everything you need to have a great time on the property or hiking and biking nearby. Clean Sunny Well Cared For

The property is well cared for. The owners obviously take great pride in making the cabin an enjoyable experience for guests. The wife loved how sunny, clean and well equiped the kitched was. It's a bit closer to the road that we liked and there is traffiic, both foot and vehicle than we would prefer. It is not an isolated location, but a bit busy . If your OK with that, no issues. We would have preferred a bit quieter, but it really wasn't a big deal or deal breaker. Wellsboro has great flyfishing on the Pine, an Excellent golf course at Tyoga and a friendly Catholic church. What more could an old retired couple wish for. The owners were very attentative and friendly.

Cozy Cottage on the Creek

I would recommend renting this cottage. It is set off the road so it isn't too noisy. The cottage was very clean and the owners took time to include the little things. Eric and Amanda are easy to get in touch with if you should need anything.

Fall Biking Trip on the Pine Creek Rail Trail

Ideally located to experience many of the Pa Canyon attractions. Everything you need is provided to enjoy your stay in the cottage. Great location on the" crick" to end the day by the fire pit. The front porch is great for inclement weather, morning coffee and just relaxing. It meant a lot to us to have a secure place to store our bikes in the shed.

Perfect destination to relax

Cottage on the Crick is a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway. Well within easy driving distance from anywhere in PA and Southern NY state, the Cottage provides a serene setting to use as home base for sightseeing, or just relaxing and reflecting. The property is exactly as described--clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Amanda and Eric are perfect hosts: helpful, responsive, and communicative but not intrusive. We would highly recommend Cottage on the Crick! Next time we'll time our trip to catch the changing leaves, which should be gorgeous in about a week.

We loved it!

We loved being right on the creek. Our kids had a blast waiting in the water and skipping rocks. It is right off the main highway so we were concerned about the noise but being down right on the water definitely made up for that! Everything we needed was there. They have a good stock of outdoor things you might need in the shed. Cell service is very spotty but there is wireless internet at the cottage. Our family enjoyed our time there and we hope to return next year to hike some of the trails we weren’t able to do (Leonard Harris State Park was still closed due to storm damage).

Great time at Cottage on the Crick

Loved this property. What makes this house so special is that it is right on Pine Creek. You can wade right in and splash around or walk up to the swimming hole. The separate kitchen and bath was perfect for the teens to hang out side at the fire pit or hammock & swing and have their own area. The front porch swing and sitting area was a great place to relax. House was well appointed with kitchen supplies, linens, towels, etc. Easy drive into beautiful Wellsboro and to Colton State Park. Canyon Cruises is right up the street and owner was fantastic with making sure we got in some tubing in between the rain. Host were personable and helpful.

Great Spot to Get Away!

Our family loved our week at the cottage! We spent every day out on the creek and every night around the fire pit looking at the stars - lucky enough to be there for a meteor shower. The cottage had everything that we needed. Don't let the small sitting area inside deter you from booking, the yard area and front porch will be where you spend most of your time. The yard is perfectly landscaped to give you great access to the creek. A tip if you are out on the water fishing and struggling for a bite: walk towards the bridge and you'll find them!

Relaxing getaway

Our family had such a relaxing, easy few days at this property. Our first time here. The kitchen and linens were very well equipped. Lots of firewood was ready and waiting for our campfire and s'mores, and the hammock was so comfortable we fell asleep in it to the smoothing sounds of the creek. We appreciated the pamphlets provided re: local attractions. Suggestions for next time: provide toiletries and maybe add a few more personal touches around the house. Thank you for a great time and a comfortable home away from home!
