Family vacation with 5 teenagers, house dynamics were perfect. The teenagers had the upstairs and adults downstairs. Kitchen was great for cooking for a bunch of people. The pool was better than expected and the fooseball table and ping pong table kept the kids entertained all night. Only downside was the beach access was flooded, but we were able to still make it work. Best house yet at HHI.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re very sorry to hear about the flooded beach access during your stay and we understand how disappointing that must have been, especially over a holiday weekend. Unfortunately, during hurricane season heavy rainstorms can impact different areas of the island in unexpected ways, including beach paths and access points. The severity of each storm and the damage it may cause cannot be predicted in advance, and we truly regret the inconvenience this created for your trip. Your feedback is important, and we’ll continue to look for ways to better communicate island impacts when possible. We do hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future for a more enjoyable experience.

Family vacation

The property was beautiful! It is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. Every bedroom has it’s own beautiful bathroom, which is essential for our large family. The common area was great for meals, watching TV and playing games. The kitchen was well appointed and large enough for several of us to prepare food and cook together. The property manager was courteous and attentive. It was a wonderful vacation!

Wonderful house in the heart of Hilton Head

This property was wonderful - plenty of space to accommodate our 12 guests. The house was very clean and well maintained. The only complaint we had was that the kitchen is not very well stocked with serving dishes and large pots and pans. The knives were very dull so if you are cooking, I would bring your own from home. And the can openers provided were not functional so I would bring one of those as well.

Wonderful!

Great stay, was perfect for my bachelorette party. SO close to the beach. The best part was that all the rooms were extremely comfortable and everyone had their own bathroom, which was much appreciated. My only pieces of feedback are that 1) some parts of the house could use some slight updates, like grates coming off the heaters and the back deck being old and splintery and 2) we paid for pool heating but the pool was still pretty cold overall. Still, this was a 5-star property and all my guests raved about how wonderful the house was! Not to mention the unbeatable location!

Friends reunion gathering

Beautiful home in a great location and very short walk to the beach. The finishes in the home were lovely and the furniture comfortable. Just a few minor things like bathroom paper holders, towel holders need fixed, or replaced. Front door a bit tricky to lock and unlock as it needs pushed and pulled a bit to operate successfully. Overall lovely rental and I highly recommend!

This property is extremely nice and has many high end features - like a large island, a large table that seats 14, a wine/beverage cooler, and separate bathrooms for each bedroom.A few small issues arose which the rental company addressed for the most part. The upper master bedrooms were not cooling well so they did send an AC tech out our 1st night. However, note that the AC will not cool more than 20 degrees below the outside temperature. This is mostly an issue for those 2 upper bedrooms. So on our first 2-3 very hot days it was quite warm in the upper bedrooms. This COULD be addressed by putting a small portable AC unit in each of those upper master bedrooms for cooling. There is a 1/2 bath on the main level & had overhead light fixture that is "unusual" & was nonworking and on order. This left the primary bathroom on the main level not very usable as it was pretty dark except for a night light put in there on the counter. We could not locate the bedding for the "sleep sofa" for the master upstairs but the rental company did bring it.The pool cleaning company came on 3 occasions to clean the pool - causing our children to exit the pool for 20-30 minutes. Once I asked if they could return after we departed and they said no. Could they schedule cleaning around guests stay? The pool was great and the accessibility to the beach was great! We did beach photos and our photographer loved the seating. This house has all you could want -great location! Would re-rent!

This house was beautiful and well-equipped for our stay. We had three families and loved the layout of the house that allowed us to spread out and each have our own space. The living area and kitchen were very spacious too. The pool and hot tub were lovely, although the deck is not in good shape and needs updating (peeling paint, a couple of boards sticking up a little as a tripping hazard). We had an issue with the heated pool one day, which turned out to be that there wasn't enough water in the pool and the pool tech corrected it. The rental company was very responsive, always getting back to us within a few hours. There was an issue with the dishwasher and they sent someone out the next day. The walk to the beach was very convenient. It is not a paved path and some vegetation is a little overgrown, but it wasn't an issue for us. I could see how it could be unpleasant in bad weather though. I will say that the house was not stocked or designed for young kids. There is only one bathtub and it's an odd design (high walls and only one access point) which made it difficult to use for kids' baths. There wasn't much in the form of kid-friendly dishes or cups in the kitchen either, just something to keep in mind. It was nice having the Xplorie free offerings. We utilized the bikes and beach chairs and both were easy and convenient to book and use!

This is a great property for a family vacation. The proximity to the beach as well as the private pool were hits with our group. The living/family/kitchen space are wonderful and there are ample bedrooms and bathrooms for a large group. The game tables in the garage were a pleasant surprise. Access to nearby Hilton Head attractions is easy, but we especially liked the quiet neighborhood feel of this location. We saw 2 opportunities for improvement. First would be the condition of the outdoor grill. It was quite dirty with grease buildup which prevented us from using it. Second would be the bed in the master. The mattress is not great and is so high that a petite person has trouble getting up onto the bed. Aside from those 2 items, we loved our time on Laurel Lane and would highly recommend it to others looking to spend quality time with their family.

Great house in a perfect location and easily accommodated our group of 15.

We had problems with no hot water from almost the whole house. Not resolved because of holidays. Very inconvenient. Fan in bunk room couldn’t be used without the light. Many windows had broken latches. Fire pit amenity rusted out. Floor registers in kitchen and dining loose and hazardous. No advertised smoker. WiFi poor and TV in one bedroom unavailable. Once these issues are resolved it will be a 5 star property.
