(Please note that during the summer weeks, both check-ins and check-outs are primarily on Saturdays, with a minimum stay requirement of 7 nights.)

Sunflower Cottage is located on a quiet side street in Bar Harbor close to Acadia National Park (Cadillac Mountain entrance), Kebo Valley Golf Course as well as all downtown Bar Harbor restaurants/shops within 1 mile. A short walking away is Parsons Lobsters, one of the best fresh seafood providers on the island, selling lobsters and other seafood caught by local fishermen from the shores of Acadia.

Recently remodeled with careful attention to detail, this beautiful Colonial home will welcome you and offer a place to relax and unwind while you enjoy all the beauty of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor areas. Spacious parking area allows for 3 cars to park on-premises in front of the covered front entry porch.

The main level of the house offers an entry hall leading to an open kitchen/dining area with a slider leading out to nice sized deck with mountain and seasonal views of Kebo Valley Golf Course. A fully stocked kitchen makes it easy for you to prepare a meal and the large dining room is great for entertaining and sharing special moments. The living room and the family room areas provide 55" smart TV, books and games for relaxation after a day of adventure in the park. Dedicated office space with a desk and high-speed wireless internet is provided if you need to take work with you. The upper floor offers 1 large King master bedroom suite with walk-in closet across and a large double-vanity bathroom with shower, along with 3 additional bedrooms (Queen, Full, and Twin beds) and another double-vanity full bathroom.

You will also have access to washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, lobster pot, Wi-Fi internet, and Spectrum/Samsung TV channels. Owner’s basement and garage (separated by locked door) are the only areas off limits. We want you to be comfortable and fully enjoy your stay and love Bar Harbor as much as we do. The property manager is nearby and happy to assist with making your time here delightful.

Sunflower Cottage is available for rent with a 4-night minimum reservation. A $300 cleaning charge per stay will apply to all reservation. Our home is a non-smoking and “shoes off” rental.

We rented this home for our family vacation - ages 2 1/2 to 60 and found it very comfortable, quiet, and spacious for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked and we really appreciated having the washer and dryer available. We walked to downtown bar harbor one day, it was nice not having to find parking! The stairs are a little steep and narrow, but there is a handrail. Lovely place to stay and convenient to Acadia National Park and the downtown Bar Harbor area! We would definitely recommend!

The house was exactly as advertised and pictured. Super comfortable and decorated nicely! Very convenient to town and Acadia Park. Our host was so quick to respond to our questions and concerns! We really appreciated the washer and dryer and the house was stocked well with cleaning supplies, paper towels and toilet paper. It had everything we needed to cook a great meal for our family! Note that the only coffee maker is a Keurig and there is no BBQ grill! The covered back porch was fabulous and we spent every morning enjoying our coffee there! Would definitely stay there again! This house was a perfect location to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, only a mile or so from each place. The house provided plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The host was quick to respond, and the house was fully equipped for a great vacation. I would highly recommend this house.

We had a fantastic stay in Bar Harbor. The property was fantastic and beautifully clean. In fact the property is even better than the photos suggest. We were a group of 6, which included older children and teenagers. We would strongly recommend this property. It’s close proximity to the centre of Bar Harbor is also a plus. We would definitely stay again.

Easy communication with fast response from the owner. Very clean, the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. Everything we needed was provided, even snacks and waters, which were really appreciated when we arrived 12 hours later than expected due to delayed and missed flights. There were 7 adults in our party and we had plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked and everything clearly labeled. Easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor. Short drive to Acadia, perfect location. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in Bar Harbor

We enjoyed our stay in the home. Communication with owners was excellent. House was clean and had everything we needed. We did want to grill out one night so was disappointed there wasn’t a grill but it was not a big deal. The walk into town was not bad and the drive to Acadia was fast and easy. Great home and location.

We had a fabulous vacation in part to the cleanliness and how well supplied this house was. Plenty of towels, coffee, kitchen supplies, etc. The clean, modern appliances made the experience easy. The house is perfectly located to Bar Harbor and the Acadia entrance . We spent a lot of time on the back porch. Jane was responsive, within 10 mins to all my communications. Maximum STARS all around!

We were a group of 8 women and enjoyed our stay. We loved being able to walk into town. The house was exceptionally clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and the dining table had room for all of us. Our host was very responsive when we had questions. The back deck was nice for spending time outside. There was ample parking for our 2 vehicles. There was an issue with the main bathroom that made things a little complicated, but otherwise the property was great.

The house was well appointed and the owner was easy to contact with questions, etc.. Kitchen drawers and cabinets were marked with what was inside and this was helpful for us to move quickly about the kitchen. Great Christmas stay for extended family

We had a lovely stay at this house. The beds were comfortable. We had small children, and the rooms were quiet. The downstairs has a lot of space and separate living rooms for people to have quiet time. We cooked many meals, and the kitchen worked well. Jane was a great communicator, making everything so easy. She even left us lovely snacks to get us started. Highly recommend

Great house right outside Acadia Natl Park

We loved staying at this well appointed darling home with ideal location for exploring Acadia (3 min drive to the entrance) and a quick drive or half hour walk to charming downtown. Really appreciated the comfy beds, fresh new linens/blankets, and new appliances. Minor concern that there was no deadbolt on the front door or door to the basement that could be accessed by caretaker or owners, but neighborhood felt safe overall. Would definitely stay here again!

Fall Trip to Acadia

The house was very clean and well stocked. Jane was very accommodating and gave us access to the garage so we could store our bikes. Communication with Jane was excellent! The neighborhood is quiet even though the houses are spaced closely together. The house was located minutes from the park entrance and downtown Bar Harbor. We were even able to ride our bikes into the park in less than 10 minutes.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home. It was so close to everything. The house was spotless and well stocked. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Would stay here again!

Family oriented vacation house

We just spent 5 days at this property with adults and 2 children, ages 1 and 3. Aside from the bedrooms being upstairs, everything was really great! Clean, well equipped, lots of room, easy to accommodate the age ranges and interests. Including a great washer and dryer in the downstairs and a piano in the "office" which is a second family room.
