We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Communication with the host was clear and seamless from start to finish. We loved the spacious layout, and the huge TV was a bonus for catching a few games!The neighborhood was charming and peaceful, perfect for the many walks we enjoyed with our dog. Both the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and the private outdoor space was absolutely delightful. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub!Parking was easy, and the location was ideal for exploring nearby wineries, restaurants, and all that Santa Rosa has to offer. A wonderful home away from home that we would happily recommend and stay in again!

Charming, walkable, and family-friendlyWe had a great family stay. The house is in a charming neighborhood of unique, well-kept 1940s homes and gardens, and it’s an easy walk to downtown. We especially enjoyed the private backyard and the clean, thoughtfully designed hot tub, which was ready to use. Having a dog-friendly place was another big plus.Cynthia provided helpful information before our arrival and was open to questions throughout our stay. The only hiccup was that we didn’t have the door code when we arrived. Once we connected, it was quickly resolved.Overall, we would happily recommend this property.

Cozy home. Location is good. Grocery store, coffee, and restaurants near by. It was fine for a family of 4. Everything we needed. We are very happy with our stay.Our only complaint (and this is minor, more like constructive criticism) is that it is noticeable that a dog lives or has lived there. The back yard has a dog pee smell and there were spots inside where found bits a dog hair. I think if the grass in the back was cleaned regularly, the smell would dissipate. And it is very hard to clean all fur from a house. Again, very minor but noticeable.

Thank you for choosing my house for your visit. This house is a dog friendly house. No dogs live here full time. The turf is dog grass which means there is charcoal filter system and layered specially for that purpose. Just for the record I spray a mixture of vinegar and a natural scented product and rinse it (the entire yard) after. This process was done before you checked in. Your right about not being able to get all hair out but I go to great lengths to eliminate it.

We had a lovely stay at the house. It’s a perfect size for four people and our dog. The house is charming, and we loved how it was fully enclosed for our dog and toddler. The bonus for us was the hot tub and a gas fireplace. Would definitely stay here again if in Santa Rosa.

Property was an amazing location, very walkable to downtown. It was fully gated in a safe neighborhood and the fact the yard was fully fenced in made letting the dog out really easy. Super comfortable beds and great communication from the host.

Great location and space for weekend trip!

This bungalow was a perfect fit for our family to cone and go in the Santa Rosa area for a family reunion. Clean, stocked, and near everything! Hot tub was the best too!

Perfect location for weekend event

My daughter and I were in town for two nights. This was the perfect property, great location, and great hospitality from our host. Communication was great, check in process smooth, we will definitely stay again.

Quaint & Perfect

Cynthia’s home was in a very quiet neighborhood not far from everything we wanted to do and close to some really great restaurants. She was also very communicative and check in/out was a breeze.

Vintage delight!

Clean, homey little house tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We spent lots of time in the Great backyard space which was perfect for us and our dog too! Looking forward to our next visit.

Perfect Venue for Family Thanksgiving meal

Loved the vintage home. The gas stove was fantastic for cooking our holiday meal. The host has everything you would ever need or want and then some for having a home away from home vaca. Beds super comfy. Back yard was perfect for the grandkids to run around and jacuzzi with their Dad. Warm, and cozy house. Highly recommend to anyone for romantic get away or family gathering

California Community College Swim Championships

We came to Santa Rosa for swim championships at Santa Rosa Junior College. The house is just a 10 minute walk from the college, so plenty of stores and restaurants within the area. The house is lovely with its 1940 charm and well maintained. The backyard has a nice sitting area that we enjoyed during breaks in the swim meet.. The location is perfect for anyone traveling to graduation or sporting events at Santa Rosa Junior College or Santa Rosa High School. Cynthia is a terrific host and very prompt with communication.

Backyard Oasis Close to Everything!

The location of this residence is excellent! Close to everything! The only thing better than the location is that backyard! Well maintained and peaceful, we spent all our time there!The house is stocked with all the common needs but I would plan to buy all perishables.I deeply appreciate that this rental is owned by a local resident. She is charming and relatively accommodating herself.To note some items: There isn’t a dishwasher and we did pull out pans, cups, flatware and plates during our stay that were still dirty. We also noticed that the down blanket in the master had stains and the quilt cover in the back bedroom had what looked to be a blood stain on it. My biggest compliant was that the place felt a bit dirty. Within 30 minutes of walking in the door our first night, our socks were grey and full of dog hair. I could visibly see hair and dust lining the room. The pillows on the seats in the living room were hairy and stained as well. The pump soap in the bathrooms were watered down. Lastly, we were politely asked to water the plants and take the trash bins out to the curb for pickup. I assume that if we had had a problem with this at all, Cynthia would have been able to make other arrangements, but we were fine doing both. All in all, we really loved this home. My 6-year-old loved it so much, he asked several times a day for the entire week if we could add the home to his gift list! Hopefully, we’ll get to come back soon.

Charlotte, Thank you for choosing my house for your stay. Id like to address your observations some specific and some in general. I pride myself on all things related to cleanliness and will make changes based on your feed back. I would like to say when people stay thru a Tuesday the garbage needs to be put to the curb Mon eve I will add it on the listing since it seems to be missing. I buy a liquid soap from trader Joes and refill but never thin it out. I make special accommodations for my guest and occasionally will ask for a small favor the example here was I just put in 4 tomato plants and rather than be intrusive and come over to water I asked if you wouldn't mind albeit a bit unconventional. When I have veggies I let my guests harvest them while they are here. I love that your son enjoyed my house and please return for a refreshed version of the oasis.

This is a very cute, and comfortable home. I love older homes, and this property is updated just enough for good function and comfort. I loved the hot tub, and it was fun to cook on the vintage stove. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Santa Rosa!

Rosy in Santa Rosa!

Cynthia has made sure her guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay at their fingertips. We lacked for nothing. The amenities provided were generous and the house was spotless. We enjoyed a day out at local wineries and a superb meal at The Bird and Bottle in SR. Wow! Fab day! At night we gathered in the yard to further our wine research and enjoy the gorgeous weather and then we moved in to watch tennis in the lounge. Just awesome. If we find ourselves back nearby again, we will definitely book with Cynthia again.❤️

Charming house, great location

I enjoyed my stay at this house a lot. The neighborhood’s mostly quiet and minutes away from downtown Santa Rosa. Drive a little further and you’re within range of excellent wineries in the Sonoma and Russian River valleys. There’s also a nice back yard for relaxing, a well-appointed kitchen, and comfortable living room. The air conditioning units, though a bit noisy, did a great job of keeping the place cool. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m staying in wine country.
