The moment you drive through the gates of Nettles Island, you feel it — you're on vacation.

Step inside Lot 704 and the feeling stays. Natural light pours through the windows —wooden blind shades throughout let you control the light perfectly. The nautical décor is calm and intentional. The living and dining areas flow together so everyone stays connected — kids, partners, friends, grandparents. Nobody gets left out.

Your days here look something like this.

Morning coffee before anyone else wakes up. Then the golf cart — included with your stay — to cruise Nettles Boulevard, drop the kids at mini golf or pickleball, or head straight to the private beach. The community pool and hot tub are steps away. When the mood strikes, take the kayak out on the water — life vests are provided. Grill something good in the evening. Play board games when the sun goes down.

Nettles Island is a private gated community on the Atlantic coast of Jensen Beach, Florida. Peaceful, safe, and full of things to do without ever leaving. Restaurants, shops, and everything Jensen Beach offers are just minutes away by golf cart.

The Modern Beach House was just a perfect place to stay, very well laid out and well equipped!! Giovanni was the very best, super attentive, quick to respond, and made sure that our stay was an absolutely great experience!! I really appreciated him being so nice about everything, just a great guy!!

Perfect family rental

My parents go to nettles island every winter and we rented for a week vacation and it Was perfect. Nice and clean and child friendly. Will stay again!

Amazing family vacation!

This property was exactly as pictured. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. The mattress in the master bedroom was great! We had an amazing vacation. The golf cart is a huge plus. We loved the area and amenities. So much to do for adults and kids! We will definitely be back.

The house was great. The amenities were excellent although the island pool was closed for maintenance while we were there. Thankfully there is a 2nd pool on the ocean side that was open. We used the mini golf, shuffleboard, sand pit area for small children and hot tubs. My suggestion to the owner/manager is to improve communications. I’ve stayed at many rental homes for vacation. Most will provide a booklet with house rules, amenities information, check out procedures, WiFi info etc. Info about where to find things in the house. It could make it easier. Instead I had to reach out for information. I also couldn’t get a response to a question on the day I was checking in. I understand it was Easter Sunday so I was not expecting an immediate response but I received no response over the course of the entire day. Other than that, it was perfect and we enjoyed our stay!

Excellent Property

All I can mentioned is totally positive on this property, good location, owner was always available. Interior very nice, decoration, spacious, we were 3 adults and our two kids. We usually go to this place multiple times during the summer, I only have one recommendation, Owner's Golf Cart needs an upgrade on batteries. I rated it 99.9%.

Very clean and cute

This is a great spot for families. We have older kids (8-16) and felt it was close enough to walk to the pool, Putt putt, etc. the house was very clean and had everything we need to cook, including grill, pots and pans, blenders, etc. plenty of towels too. We would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous vacation

The property manager was responsive, the unit was clean and in a great location. Bed was comfortable and 2 bathrooms was a plus! Loved the location- Hutchinson Islamd has always been a favorite - if you like beautiful beaches, no crowds and are able to drive to commercial areas like Stuart and Downtown Jensen this place is for you.

Wonderful Place

We had a great time in this cottage. Very nice open space. It is nicely decorated with everything you need for a beach getaway. We loved being on the main road so close to the beach with nice breeze to have your cup of coffee outside each morning.The owner was very attentive and so easy to communicate with. Will definitely be back.

Good Fit For Our Family of Five

Our family loves Nettles Island and the surrounding area. The house fit our needs well for our most recent trip there. We had a couple small hiccups when we first got there but the owner was very responsive and helpful so it wasn’t really an issue. I would definitely consider staying there again on our next vacation to Nettles.

Week at Nettles Island

The property was lovely, lots of amenities you wouldn't expect including toiletries and lotions. The golf cart to get around was a nice addition. It was very comfortable, well decorated. The property as a community had everything from pool to restaurants to little grocery store. The property host was great, answered any and all questions very quickly. I would definitely stay there again!!!!

Absolutely perfect!

It was our second time staying on Nettles island and then island was as great as last time. Our first time at this property and it was absolutely perfect!! It’s beautifully furnished, perfectly laid out. It was just my husband and myself but could comfortable accommodate additionally guests. For just the 2 of us we were in heaven. Everything was exceptionally clean, new kitchen appliances, nice big tv in master room. The golf cart was a fun extra. The size of the master, the master bath and living room/kitchen area were all superb. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back!

Clean, comfortable and cozy

The unit is exactly as described. It is very clean and has everything you need. The golf cart was a real plus. Whenever I had a question the owner was quick to reply. I have stayed in several units on Nettles and this is one of my favorites. It's got a great vibe! I hope it's available next time I am visiting the Stuart area.

Had to let owner know that his electric cart did not work and that the bedroom outlets and power did not work we used the bathroom and closet lights he asked if we wanted someone to come Saturday but we went ahead and rented a cart and dealt with the electric situation but area really nice people were very pleasant we had a nice time

Nettles Island is one of those rare places that feels like it exists outside of normal time. It's a private gated community right on the Atlantic coast of Jensen Beach — peaceful enough to truly disconnect, but with everything you need steps away: pool, hot tub, private beach, tennis, pickleball, marina, and fishing areas.

What makes it even more special — there's a charming little convenience store right inside the community where they make delicious fresh sandwiches and home-cooked food daily. And for dinner, there's an on-site seafood restaurant serving fresh catch right there on the island. You don't even have to leave.

Jensen Beach itself is one of Florida's hidden gems. Beautiful beaches, great local restaurants, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere without the crowds of Miami or Fort Lauderdale. It's the kind of place guests come back to year after year.
