Wow! What an amazing place to stay! We really enjoyed the awesome views and quirky layout. Sauna after a long hike, hot tub at sunset, game room at night. "The Dome" had everything we needed and more. We highly recommend and truly believe staying here was the best way to experience all that is Idyllwild!

This property is so cool. An amazing view and so many places to hang out. Great jacuzzi, and cool mineral bath, and sauna.

Great Holiday Getaway

The house was well appointed and spacious with plenty of games and activities. The view from the hot tub was the best I would not recommend for the elderly or disabled, as there are many stairs and very steep long driveway.

Great for big group

There was 9 of us total! The property offered amazing views all around, it was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. Would definitely come back.

Dome-estic Bliss

Thanksgiving at the Dome will forever be a part of our family story. Everyone loved the great views, the open living room gathered around the fireplace, and the hot tub. Many Thanks to Monica and the Vrbo staff for making our vacation special…and easy!

Wild in the summer is great too!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the first time visiting Idy in the summer and I was pleasantly surprised. Less people and beautiful weather. As for The Dome! Execellent, a uniquely large and spacious propery. Great for larger groups. Although, its standard max occupancy is 10 for the main house. The separate unit/game room can accomodate an additional 7. As mentioned the property is very spacious and the views... PHENOMENAL! It also has a large sauna. The main floor master has private bathroom with Toto bidet seat and king bed which we called the "Red Room". I would consider it the primary master while the room located on the second floor would be the secondary master king without private bath but still nice. The mini split along with the swamp cooler on the main floor is great. Never really felt to warm. However, my guests in the separate unit/game room did mention it was a little warm. So a mini-split for that area would be a nice enhancement. Hot tub was also nice but a little undersized for the scale of the property. Overall, regardless its a great property and would definitely consider staying here again if feasible. Lastly not sure if this is now a standard part of their service at New Spirit but they were very attentive and prompt. They allow you to document (text) in realtime any discrepancies that may require maintenance. Note, they have two locations for parking; main driveway(steep) which I can only assume can be a challenge during the winter. However at the top it does have a parking area that can accomodate 2-3 vehicles and is good for loading and unloading. The cul-da-sac(CDS) where you can either park in the CDS or the parking slab located behind the gate which provides more direct access to the separate unit/game room. My family and friends had a very pleasant stay to end our 2026' summer getaways!

Really pretty getaway spot!

The dome was a great spot for our friend group pups to visit. It’s a short drive/walk into town, the view is incredible, the layout/space is really unique, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well equipped. The hot tub wasn’t cooperating for our stay which was a bit of a bummer, and there was a little more non-Vrbo paperwork than expected to lock in the rental, but overall I’d strongly recommend for those considering visiting.

Unique and comfortable house

We enjoyed this house - the unique design and gorgeous views were the highlights! The house is very comfortably set up; we were particularly impressed by the well-stocked kitchen. There are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the scenery as well. The location of the hot tub is amazing! We couldn’t get the living room TV to work, unfortunately.

Excellent for Work and Play

The Dome allows for recreation (it's so beautiful up there!) and focus (the TVs allow for connected devices so they could display their curricular plans and work together). Best of all, the team who welcomed them was responsive, flexible, and friendly.

WARNING...STAY AWAY FROM THIS LISTING! In fact avoid any listing that is operated by New Spirit Vacations. This is the worst experience I have ever had! We were extremely disappointed in the condition of the house, the poor communication with the management company and the lack of accountability from NSV and VRBO. We reported all of the issues during our stay and they were ignored. -filthy dirty carpets-dusty and dirty fans in each room-bedding full of hair (NSV, came and changed the upstairs linen)-scorching hot water in upstairs bathroom-dishwasher not mounted in cabinet and falls out-broken countertop, covered with cutting board-dingy and outdated mismatched furniture throughout-table for 8 with 6 chairs (one broken) and 2 plastic folding chairs-dust and cobwebs throughout house-sauna not functioning-fire pit not functioning-unable to use the advertised game room-outdoor cushions were filthy-acoustics not conducive to being able to comfortably sleep-painters tape holding vent on the wall-expired fire extingusherThere were SO many safety and hygiene concerns. The management company completely ignored our communication. VRBO brutally miscommunicated our complaints in fact they responded in an email with the incorrect dates and location. The complaints were incorrect. The whole experience was an absolute nightmare. I am going to pursue this matter with the BBB.

The Dome is not just a great home, with beautiful panoramic views in a serene, private also offers dining al fresco; hot tub under the brilliant stars; a large hot sauna; two outdoor, deep cold plunge tubs under the stars and plenty of outdoor space to meditate, rest, recover, rejuvenate and explore, while transforming anxious and stressed spirits! Well Appointed Home with Amazing View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 4 days in the early spring -- cold nights, but the home has blankets and heaters and we had no problem keeping warm. The entire place was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed plus more. Towels and toilet paper were plentiful and easy to find. Plenty of space and entertainment for our kids. The house has an amazing view of the area and was located close to town and multiple trails and parks for exploring. Idyllwild is a charming community and a relaxing vacation. New Spirt Homes was wonderful to work with -- quick to answer any questions and seemingly always available. I will definitely use them again (they seem to run many of rentals in the area)

The Dome

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property mgmt company was great to work with, communication was great, the dome was quirky and unusual-just what we were looking for. The regularly used surfaces we’re very clean, but the whole house could use a “Spring cleaning”-seriously! Attention to details like window coverings over all the bedroom windows, the sprayer in kitchen sink needs replaced and the bottom rack of the dishwasher needs wheels. The largest upstairs bedroom does not have a full wall to the top of the ceiling, so you wake with the earliest riser. The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor space was great!

Beautiful outdoor location

Good: Beautiful view and cute outdoor spaces. Well stocked but missing some items including coffee. Property manager very responsive to fix problems with house. Bad: Property manager forces photographs of credit card and license and to sign an extra contract, none of which was REQUIRED when booking and they use an unvalidated system to store these so they need to add it to the property description. Tiny grill. A lot of items are broken like toilet seat cover, ripped leather couch and stairs, fridge did not work on arrival and spent hours with them to fix it. Acoustics carry all noise from downstairs to upstairs so difficult to sleep if people are awake.
