Welcome to Barnicoll your perfect Outer Banks getaway, completely renovated in 2021 and centrally located at mile post 11.5 in Nags Head. You are walking/bike riding distance to the beach or drive to the public access/free parking lot with life guard stand .5 miles away. During your stay there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy between 2 spacious covered porches or the brand new deck and pergola overlooking your own private salt water pool. Fully stocked for a relaxing and peaceful stay.

Awesome

House is furnished and decorated beautifully. Very family friendly. Kids loved the pool. Grill and outdoor griddle were great for dinners. Close to the beach

our girls lived for the pool!

This property is wonderfully maintained and well stocked. This is not a regular listing, the thoughtful details made it so much more. The outdoor living area with pool, deck, griddle was the biggest hit!

Immaculate!

The house was absolutely immaculate! I am a neat freak, so this spoke to my heart! Great pool and backyard. House so cozy that we hardly left lol Only down side are the ants, kitchen has an ant problem, not horrible and unmanageable. The house has everything you need and more!! Perfectly stocked to cookware. We are very pleased and recommend to everyone!

Piece of paradise

This property was perfect for the 7 of us. It was clean, super comfortable and had everything you need for a weeks stay. So close to the beach, dunes and all the shopping. The pool was great and a big hit. The backyard in general was great with all the seating, grill, blackstone and outdoor shower. The only thing that took a bit to get used to was the sound of the traffic when you were out back but I think it’s just because we live in a very small town where you don’t get so much traffic. A little music and the cicadas took care of that and we really didn’t notice it as much after the second day. The homeowners thought of everything and my kids all said they would like to stay here again next year.

Nice house, but had some issues

I wanted to leave this review for others thinking of staying here. The house was nice and cozy, kitchen was nice and updated. Had great amenities and well stocked of things that you would need. But we did have a couple issues with the property. First, be aware you are right behind a major highway so you will hear lots of road noise, it kind of made staying outside really hard as it was hard to talk to people. Second, the house got a bit warm upstairs and this was in early/mid June when temps were in the 70's/low 80s.. not sure how it would handle 90+ days. This also means the little AC units in the rooms upstairs run all the time, again making a lot of noise. All of this took away from our stay here unfortunately.

Thank you for leaving a review and we are glad you found it cozy and happy with what was provided. I’m sorry you did not enjoy your stay, unfortunately there isn’t much we can do regarding the traffic noise. While it can get noisy the outside area is our favorite part to enjoy while we are there. Cape cod style houses are difficult to heat and cool so in addition to the central heat and air we provide the extra A/C units and ceiling fans to help keep things comfortable during the summer months. We appreciate your feedback and will use it in the future.

Nice set up!

The house was very clean and the perfect set up for our 2 families of 3. Everyone really enjoyed the pool and it is an easy walk/drive to public beach parking.

Barnicoll is our family pipe dream come true. We were able to purchase Barnicoll in the Fall of 2020 and boy did it need some TLC. After a lot of saving, cursing, blood, sweat and tears we were able to make it a home. We are so proud to have Barnicoll and cannot wait to share it with you and your family and friends. We hope everyone respects it like we do and helps take care of our little slice of paradise. The entire house was renovated in 2020-21 and everything is brand new. We stocked it with everything we would want in a vacation home especially having kids and wanting to travel light. We currently reside in Wilmington NC so while we aren't super close we will be available anytime during your stay should you need anything, have any questions or run into any issues.

This location at mile post 11.5 is really in the heart of the Outer Banks. We are close to shops, bars, restaurants, and many local attractions. Our neighborhood is connected to a bike path to make riding bikes to the beach and around the town of Nags Head easy. There are multiple food stores and pharmacies should you need anything during your stay along with lots of variety stores and the hospital is right around the corner. Having your own salt water private pool is key for coming home and cooling off right in your own backyard. We have lots of private outdoor living spaces for you to relax and enjoy and take in the sweet ocean air and breeze. There is a brand new deck for grilling and eating outside and two covered porches to get out of the rain if need be.
