This nice little place right on the lake was perfect for our getaway. Patio with a grill, dock with floaties and a ladder and quiet community! The owners were great to work with and communicated with us prior to our arrival. I would stay here again!

The place is outdated and small, but fit a lot of beds to accommodate a bigger family and kitchen was pretty stocked for cooking meals. No master suite. Could have been cleaner- crumbs on top of sheets and counters, cobwebs in corners. Deck furniture ripped so couldn’t sit out there with coffee. It’s close to restaurants, grocery store, gas station, business 54 and strip, but the strip is totally run down and not much to do there with kids. We were booked for 3 nights and only stayed 1. We rented this place bc of the private dock for swimming/fishing. When we arrived you could instantly tell the dock was not in the best shape. The front corner was almost touching the water due to missing dock float. Bigger waves would crash over the top of it. We were told it probably happened during storms 6 weeks prior, so shocked no previous renters had said anything. The poles supporting the roof had been re-welded due to rusting and the welding was starting to come undone. We definitely did not feel safe on the dock, especially with it being on the main channel constantly getting hit by waves, it felt like it could sink or collapse at any point. Fortunately, Donna, the property manager, was a saint and when I expressed my concerns about the dock, she quickly found us another property to move to, no questions asked. She was super responsive and helpful, the best!!! Thank you Donna for all your help!!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we regret that the home did not meet your expectations, we do want to clarify a few points for future guests reading this review. The property is accurately described in the listing as an older, traditional lake home with multiple sleeping areas rather than a master suite. Many families choose it specifically because it offers a high bed count and a fully stocked kitchen, which you noted worked well for your group. Regarding cleanliness, this is something we take seriously. Our team follows a detailed cleaning checklist between every stay including the bed sheets are washed and freshly put on beds each clean so I cannot explain crumbs but this has already been addressed directly with our housekeeping staff to ensure cleaning is thorough. As for the dock, the recent storm damage was unexpected and had not been reported by prior guests. The moment your concerns were brought to our attention, we acted immediately. The dock was evaluated, repairs were scheduled, and Donna—who we agree is exceptional—relocated you without hesitation to ensure your family’s comfort and safety. We appreciate you recognizing her responsiveness. We understand that the nearby strip has changed over the years, but fortunately the home remains close to restaurants, grocery stores, and lake activities that many guests enjoy. Your feedback helps us continue improving the property, and we’re glad our team was able to resolve the situation quickly.
