Seneste opgraderinger; udvidet dæk for endnu bedre udsigt og spiseplads, nye vinduer og åben trappe! Fantastisk udsigt især fra opholdsstuen gulv til loft vinduer! Hvert værelse af dette smukt renoverede, hyggelige sommerhus byder på udsigt over søen. Hytte er bygget unikt i klitterens kant med udsigt over den smukke bugt og ligger inden for private Macatawa Park, et lukket område.

Kongens Cottage ligger på halvøen mellem de hvide sandstrande Lake Michigan, Lake Macatawa, og nærliggende historiske Holland Harbor 'Big Red' fyrtårn og kanal.

Denne unikke sommerhusindstilling er bekvemt omgivet af yderligere faciliteter inden for få korte trin; privat Lake Michigan strand kun 5 minutters gang, en marina, tennisbaner, yacht club, cykelstier, udlejning (både, cykler, kajakker og mere!).

This was the perfect stay for our wedding weekend at Boatwerks!

Would 100% stay here again. Kathy was a fantastic host and very attentive to the few items we had questions on upon checkin.

Great Location, Great Stay

Loved this property, and the host was excellent. We loved it so much, we extended our stay here by two additional days. Kids loved looking out on the water in the morning, and access to the trails, private beach and myriad of activities all within reach.

Kings Cottage

We enjoyed ourselves in Macatawa and were very happy with the accommodations at Kings Cottage. We were there for a sailing regatta and loved the view of the harbor and lake from the front window. All good.

Thank goodness for the view

I have been going to Macatawa my entire life so am very familiar with the area. When I saw this listing, I was ecstatic because the location and the view are incredible. However, the house is completely outdated, dirty, shag carpet, very old, worn furniture. The clothes dryer sounds like an airplane taking off. There is junk all over the outside deck. The bathroom shower is moldy and gross. It is a shame because I would stay here every year but I was very uncomfortable once I walked inside. The manager, Kathy was very nice and accommodating but nothing she can do about the inside.

Marina view

Stunning view and community in a gated community. Great access to the beach and a wonderful place to walk in. However, the house needs improvement. The upstairs TV was impossible to use even after the property manager sent her daughter to try to figure it out. The ice maker was a solid block of ice and impossible to fix since the freezer door could not fully be opened. Many light fixtures had burnt out bulbs and no replacements were on hand. The second story deck was closed off due to storm damage and we were not informed of this prior to our visit. The home could use some love.

Loved it!

We were first timers in this property after 9 years of staying elsewhere on Lake Michigan and Lake Mac. It just might have been the best! There’s so much activity to watch from the shaded (never hot) deck here, and it’s a short walk to the big lake when you want that friendly, inclusive scene. This cottage is clean, with plenty of fresh, unstained, moderately thick towels. The decks do gather spider webs and acorns every night, but this is an expected feature of cottage life. Kitchen amenities are plentiful, including a functioning ice maker and filtered water dispenser on the fridge. Bring your own blender and hand mixer if those are items you use. We found the grill very clean, and though sporting a few hot spots, working well. Kathy is an attentive property manager, and the owner is a great guy. Macatawa Park is a fantastic community with options to rent pontoons and kayaks within walking distance and tennis drills open to non-members for a fee. The market is a 15-20 minute bike ride away.

Fantastic stay at the King's Cottage

The property was exactly as described. We went there in the Winter and it was very comfortable and warm inside. We enjoyed seeing the flocks of ducks stop by the lake. The beach is a very short walk away, too. We would rent it again.

Awesome view

It was a very nice cottage with a great view of lake Macatawa. It was a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed almost every day. Cottage was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Had a wonderful vacation.

Wonderful family vacation spot!

We really enjoyed our stay. The lactation is great. Walk to the beach and boat rental! Close to grocery and restaurants. Perfect location. The property manager is very responsive and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

What a view!

We rented Kings Cottage for our annual family vacation. We have rented many cottages to the Macatawa area. Kings Cottage has moved up to our favorite. We loved our morning cup of coffee, watching the boats head for Lake Michigan. Just a short walk to the beach with no stairs. This by far was the most well equipped rental.

Love Holland!

This property has the most amazing view! Showers, bathtub are a good size. Beds are comfortable, plenty of room to store clothes. Outside upper patio is perfect for working with an amazing view!!

Perfect location for boat watching. Well equipped for overall comfort. Near enough to Holland, MI, to have dinner and exercise classes. A great trip for us. I’m sure we will want to return.

Nice house, great location/view, good price!

My overall experience of this place was great. The sunrise over Lake Macatawa was beautiful and the location to the beach was easy. Kathy was very friendly and responsive. Other than some minor issues with spiders and the upstairs bathroom door sticking I didn’t have any other concerns and these were so minor that I would rent here again without question. FYI: There are a couple tip for those who are staying. 1: There are a lot of 2 plug outlets so adapters would be beneficial. 2: If security stops you, such as walking to the lighthouse, make sure to tell them where you are staying. The second night security made it sound like we were trespassing until they realized we were guests. 3: Fishing can only be done on the pier and channel, they don‘t post signs anywhere telling you no.

Wonderful View of Lake Macatawa

We enjoyed our stay at King's Cottage very much. The best thing about the cottage was the amazing view of the lake. We all preferred to watch the lake while relaxing in the many chairs. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Macatawa is situated only 10 minutes from the Dutch city of Holland and 10 minutes from Saugatuck ('Art Coast of West Michigan'), a 3 hour drive from Chicago or Detroit- all very convenient. However, nothing surpasses the views captured from King's Cottage and the surrounding area, it is indeed breathtaking!! The miles of white sandy beaches against the Lake Michigan backdrop~ need I say more?
