Sea Captain's House - Beautiful Water View, Steps to Beach & Main Street

Located overlooking Chatham's beautiful Oyster Pond, this home is the perfect location for your vacation. Take advantage of the beach just outside your door or wander down the street into Chatham center! Enjoy so much of Chatham - without even getting in your car!

This Sea Captain's house includes five bedrooms (sleeps three on first floor and six on second floor), full kitchen and dining area, two living room areas with two TVs, a water view covered porch and laundry room. A lovely patio overlooking the water provides a great spot for BBQ grilling, with plenty of outdoor seating. There are four and a half bathrooms, as well as an outdoor shower. A game room area in the Sea Captain's House includes a foosball table.

Linens (bed and bath) are included for the 2023 season. This property also has two smaller units (the Windmill #2498497 and Carriage House #2499552) that share the driveway and parking area. If you are interested in booking these units as well, for a larger group, please inquire.

Note:
-Pets are not allowed.
-We do not allow parties/events to be held at our properties.
-Please do not move furniture within or between properties.
-Please limit parking for Sea Captain's House to three cars maximum.
-Please do not drive on the grass.
-The primary renter on the property is required to be on site for the duration of the rental.

Beautiful water view home, centrally located to all main attractions in Chatham. The home is impeccable and the kitchen is well stocked, making it a wonderful place for a fun family gathering. The owners, Babbie & Taragh, were very responsive and provided many local recommendations.

Fantastic charming little cottage by the sea with excellent walking distance to the shops! Easy to enter and the hosts were incredible to work with. I'd recommend this property to anyone!

Wonderful house in great lovation

My family loved staying at the Captains House. A beautiful old home, thoughtfully renovated, in a perfect location for walking into town but also close to the natural beauty of the Cape. A lovely view of Oyster Pond. Great beach nearby for swimming and kaiaking. Well equipped with everything you could need. The owners were responsive.

Chatham charm

Our family of six plus a few friends enjoyed a wonderful week despite the weather at this charming pond side home! This home is ideal for having guests due to the flexible first floor layout. The views of Oyster pond did not disappoint and the location is ideal!

Location, location, location

My family has been vacationing in Chatham since before I was born, so we have stayed in most every part of town over the years. But the location of the Sea Captain may be the most accessible house we've rented to date. You can see Oyster Pond from the front windows and walk to the beach there in 5 minutes. You're also just down the street from the Village Market (local grocery) and nearly as close to the park where the Chatham A's play in the Cape Cod summer baseball league. And the middle of town (Squire, etc) is maybe 10 minutes. Even a walk to Lighthouse Beach is within reason (20-ish mins). So the Sea Captain is a great springboard to most anywhere in Chatham. The house itself has been nicely restored and is deceptively large, with a bathroom for every bedroom in the house and a second fridge, sink and counter area in back. Also an outdoor shower, foosball table and two large TVs in the communal spaces. And the two patio areas offer outdoor space to relax and take in a lovely view of Oyster Pond. The owners were also quick to respond when we had questions, which wasn't often. Overall, staying at the Sea Captain was a great experience and we would do so again in a heartbeat.

Chatham House Stay

This house was a lovely place for a family to relax and enjoy each other. It was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and it was so close to downtown that we often walked there to explore the stores, eat, and browse. I highly recommend this home! It was a perfect location, and across from a beach, too! Everything we needed was there.

We loved staying at this house

The house was a great place to stay with an abundance of bedrooms and bathrooms and areas to sit and enjoy each others company. It was very clean, and is in a great location. Staying here made for a great trip to Cape Cod.

December Wedding on the Cape

Beautiful Chatham

Autumn Get Away. Memorable weekend visiting our daughter and her husband. Cape Cod, Chatham, quiet, beautiful autumn days. Nothing here not to like. This beautiful seaside Captains Cottage was everything more that we could hope for. Perfect stay.

The perfect getaway

The Sea Captain's House was perfect in every way - comfort, location (short walk to town), and beautiful view. The house is well appointed and provided great open living space for us to share together, as well as spacious bedrooms, each with their own bath for extra privacy. The beds were exceptionally comfotable. We look forward to staying here again!

Family vacation
