Beautiful spacious chalet style home in a very private setting along the water's edge.Everything was great!Kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living room all in great condition and comfortable.We enjoyed the large deck to view the woods, stream and wildlife.We also used the spacious laundry room and the basement recreation room.This place is a must when you want to enjoy peace and quiet after busy days on the trail or in town!

The property is amazing. The house is beautiful and very quiet. My one complaint is having to pay for a full week (Sunday to Sunday) when we could only stay Sunday Through Friday. The host could have rented the unit Saturday and Sunday to another guest, given it was high season.

The following week had already been booked prior to your reservation, so unfortunately we would not have been able to recapture the additional night. This home is rented in 7-night weekly stays, which is standard during the prime season on Mount Desert Island. We’re sorry you weren’t able to enjoy that extra day on the Island, but we’re very happy to hear that you had such a wonderful stay nonetheless. We truly appreciate your visit and hope you’ll have the opportunity to return!

What a beautiful way to experience the jewel that is Acadia National Park. It was such a treat to be able to come back to this home after long hikes and days out exploring. The location is perfectly situated about 20 mins from everything, and it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Both the views and the interior of the home were impeccable. The house is comfortably furnished with all the kitchen items you may need for home-cooked meals. And the basement is surprisingly large and is a great space for the kids to retreat to for games or movies.Just a note for future guests: we went through a heat wave when we were there and the home is well-equipped with fans but the windows do make it a bit of a greenhouse. It does cool down considerably in the evening. And the fireplace is pictured but guests are not permitted to use them- that is something I was a bit disappointed by.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area

We had an amazing time in the property. The views and home were great, we had little interactions with birds and local deer and turkeys, and everything was clean! Be sure to take a right into the property and not get confused by the similar address pointing left. Very thankful to get to stay there!

Peaceful Acadia Retreat

We loved this modern and spacious home close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It was a wonderful retreat surrounded by great views and nature. Clean, comfortable and welcoming, our only suggestion would be to add blinds to the bedroom windows for those guests that don’t always want to get up at sunrise.

Great quite spot

We wanted some seclusion - peace and quiet - and this place perfect. Brand new beautiful home with a nice view of serene marsh. Real estate agent was great in helping us secure the home and we would most certainly return.

Beautiful property. Light-filled contemporary A-frame looking out on marshes and ponds. Isolated from other homes but only five minutes off of a main road on MDI. Comfortable beds and bedrooms, excellent internet. Good communication with property management company.

Perfect vacation

This place was amazing. Near Bar Harbor but in the middle of natural beauty! We saw a bald eagle fly right by the main window!! Had an amazing stay with amazing food and amazing nature experience in Acadia. MDI real estate was really responsive. Easy arrival and departure..

Awesome property

The place was absolutely amazing. The swamp behind the house - we saw the impact of high tide and low tie, instead of bar island path. We wish to stay at the same place if we return to Acadia

Great place to stay near Acadia

The house was exactly as described. Secluded location in a beautiful setting but close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were two senior couples and it was perfect for us. Also liked that there was a Freshies convenience store just down the road. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous view!

Property was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. The kitchen was well stocked. It was disappointing that the indoor and outdoor fireplaces were not to be used. The 9:00 am checkout was not a problem for us however it does seem earlier than most places we have stayed.

Perfection

The house is gorgeous, secluded, clean, and comfortable. The location was a quick drive to most of the places we wanted to visit. We arrived late and were a bit disoriented from a big day of driving. The host answered our call and got us taken care of so quickly. Thank you for letting us borrow your wonderful home for the week!

30th anniversary trip

We celebrated our 30th anniversary in Bar Harbor and Acadia. The trip was incredible and the house we stayed in was amazing! The home was comfortable and very modern. The privacy and seclusion were what we had hoped for, but it was still close enough to local amenities and sites we wanted to see. We enjoyed the wildlife that varied day by day and the sunsets and the stars at night made the home more pleasing. We highly recommend this home and are already planning a return visit. Communication with our host was also very smooth and they were great to work with. Thank You!!!!

Peaceful

The cottage house provided a calm respite from our daily adventures in Acadia National Park. We loved the peace and quiet. Books were read, games were played, naps were taken. This homes central location on Mt Desert provided easy access to the entire island. We did find ourselves wishing for AC as August brought some high temps. Otherwise, we felt very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Hot Week in July

The property is gorgeous. The home is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The weather was hot the week we stayed. Even without AC, the Master bedroom on the main floorv was very comfortable. With the windows opened, the cross breeze was great. The top floor was a bit on the warmer side. Opening windows and using the ceiling and floor fans was a must to keep the temperature comfortable. The basement area stayed cool the whole week. The location to Bar Harbor and surrounding areas was perfect for us. Sitting on the large deck watching and listening to wildlife was very relaxing. We loved this property and highly recommend it to others!!
