We were here for a very small wedding on Long Beach and this property was perfection for our stay. Close to long bay and smugglers with great proximity to the ferry docks as well. Sharlene, Pinky and Ray were very responsive and so accommodating and helpful with recommendations. The house was clean and well equipped. Highly recommend!!!

The whole experience was excellent! The photos all tell the truth. The views really ARE that good. The guidebook was quite helpful, and the communications pre-arrival were on point. The layout was good for multiple families coming together, each having our own private spaces, yet the kitchen/living area as a nice shared space to gather.

It was an amazing location and amazing property. Everything was great about it. Not idea for beach access, it's a bit of a walk or drive down the hill. The views are stunning and the property is lovely. Really loved our stay there. No issues and the property manager was very responsive and super helpful. Would highly recommend.

Spacious Villa with Fabulous Sunset Views

We had a wonderful time at Flamingo Sunset even though we had only booked a few nights before a week on Jost, but the villa was great in all aspects, spacious, clean, comfortable, and the decks, pool and views were top notch. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.

Perfect spot

We stayed at the property for two weeks. The check in process couldn’t have gone any simpler. If there was anything, we needed the hosts were immediate to respond and take care of our needs. The location was perfect. A very short drive down to the beaches and restaurants of Long Bay. We would highly recommend this property to anybody looking for a vacation in the BVI’s.

Relaxing time after boat charter

Our family decided to spend five days to relax after a week-long boat charter in the BVI. Flamingo Sunset was the perfect place! Extremely clean and had everything we would need for our stay. Watching the sunsets every afternoon was priceless. Communication with host and her team was excellent. A couple of beautiful beaches just a short drive away. Would certainly rent again and/or recommend to family and friends!

Comfortable stay, amazing sunsets!

My family had a brilliant time visiting while staying in this villa. We have been to visit Tortola 4 times and this is by far the best accommodation that we have had. The communication from the staff was excellent, things such as the hire car and taxi were organised for us so once we arrived at the airport there was not much left to sort. They were even so kind as to allow us a late check out on our final day. The views from the villa were brilliant and very close to Smugglers Cove which is a beautiful beach. Their book had helpful tips such as nearby restaurants. Nothing seemed like too much of a request and we would eagerly stay again on our next visit.

Sailing from Tortola

Beautiful house with breath taking views. Perfect spot for a few days of relaxation and exploring Tortola before embarking on a sailing trip around the BVI. Super practical configuration for our family (would be great for any larger group) - plenty of rooms for everyone to have their own, spread out enough to feel like you have your own space, and large centralized gathering areas like kitchen, dining, and living area and pool deck that easily accommodate everyone. Location was great for the spectacular views, and while steep in a few spots, found the local roads accessible for walking down to two beach areas. Would recommend and would come back.

Birthday stay with my Wife and Friends

The property was as beautiful as it was listed. We stayed for a little over a week and were completely satisfied with the property and staff the whole time. A special callout to the The Villas of Tortola's team who was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the process. When we arrived, the place was clean and ready for our stay. The spacing of the bedrooms was great for an adult group who wants to share a common space, but would like their individual spaces. All of the amenities between the pool, bathrooms, kitchen appliances worked perfectly. The staff came in and cleaned the spaces mid-week which was a welcome refresh. I would highly recommend the property and team for a stay on Tortola.

The location was fantastic - incredible views of the bay, the beach, and you could hear the sound of the surf from the outdoor spaces. The house was well provisioned with everything you could want, including beach supplies (coolers, chairs, umbrellas, etc.), kitchen supplies for cooking meals in, and all the associated extras (olive oil, cooking spray, spices, etc.) that you might need. The property management communicated extremely well ahead of our trip, as well as dealing with unforeseen issues during our trip (like when my daughter locked herself out of her room). The driveway was a bit challenging, but you will find that in nearly all of the properties on the island. We couldn't have asked for a better location to spend with our family. Thanks for making it an incredible week and we look forward to coming back in the future!

Flamingo Sunset

Amazing views! The house was lovely. The driveway takes some getting used to. Managers were fantastic. Next time we will plan better with their recommendations and referrals for car rental and boating reservations. Grocery delivery and cab driver were GREAT. We had a great time. Two of the bedrooms only have access to the main house by way of the pool deck and up a set of stairs. It was not a problem for us - the weather was perfect all week, but for young children it would be worrisome.

Thank you for your fab review Kristan and we love to help guests with as much or as little as they like - we do have some great contacts though ;) Don't worry, we're very careful to mention to any potential guests with children that the 2 bedrooms have separate exterior access only from the pool deck...it's perfect for older teens or a party of several couples who like their privacy though :) Thanks for choosing Flamingo Sunset and Villas of Tortola!

Communication with Pinky was great. She met us at Jerry's car rental and took us to the house. The house was extremely clean which we were thrilled. Groceries were in the fridge. The one downside to the house, the 2 bedrooms downstairs are only accessible via the outdoor staircase. We have 2 teenage daughters who were planning to sleep down there, each having their own room. Both ended up moving to the main level, as it was a bit unnerving! There is an additional set of stairs off of the pool that lead to 2 more empty rooms on the basement level Those rooms are not usable but I do agree, it made for some unsettled nerves. The outdoor tile gets extremely slippery when wet; so I think that this house is better suited for adults with no kids.

Hi Allison, We're glad that you enjoyed your stay but sorry that you felt you couldn't use the 2 bedrooms off the pool deck. We are very careful to include in our description that those bedrooms are not suitable for younger children as they have exterior access only. We have never had any issues with teenagers using those bedrooms though - they are usually quite happy to have their space and privacy :) We always make sure that the house layout is clear and to avoid any surprises on arrival, all we want is for our guests to have the best vacation possible. I'm not quite sure why you mentioned the storage rooms beneath the house and pool deck - those are not advertised as bedrooms (or any other usable space as part of the rental villa) and guests do not usually try to access them for any reason. They are just I just want to make that clear here to potential guests. I hope your travel home was easy with no delays after all the flight cancellations and we would love to welcome you back again when your teenagers are older perhaps. Thanks, Sam

We stayed at Flamingo Sunset following a weeklong catamaran trip. It was nice to have additional time with family in one space. We looked at hotels in Tortola and the reviews weren't the best or the cost was crazy. Flamingo Sunset provided everything we needed. It was spacious, 4 large bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, and a much needed washer and dryer (laundry detergent was there as well!) The pool was also lovely. It was very easy to communicate with the house manager prior to our stay and they also helped set up a taxi service from Nanny Cay to the house. When there was an issue at the house they were very responsive. The house is ideally located - a very quick drive to Smuggler's Cove which was so beautiful. The house guide says you can walk, but my group wasn't hearty enough for that!

Perfect House - perfect location.

Perfect vacation for my family of six. (2 adults and 4 teens) The views from this house are amazing. The house was immaculate and had every we needed (towels beach, chairs, cooler etc.) Two if the bedrooms are only accessible from the pool deck which was fine for us but maybe not for a family with small children. House would be perfect for couples. Communication with property manager was great - timely responses to any question we had. We were greeted in person and given a tour of the house upon our arrival. This was great because it gave us the opportunity to ask any questions we had before our stay. There are two beautiful beaches close to the house. The driveway is steep but manageable once you get the hang of it. So glad we chose this house and this location for our stay on Tortola. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay at Flamingo Sunset

We had absolutely fantastic time in Tortola. The villa, Flamingo Sunset, was very lovely and met all our needs: spotless clean, fully functional gourmet kitchen with all necesseties, very nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, and interesting design. The kids loved the full size warm smimming pool that was kept in impeccable condition. The villa has 2 very large patios with a breathtaking view of the Caribbean sunset. There was a great selection of books and DVDs at the villa. We didn't get a chance to watch anything on TV, because everyone enjoyed being outside so much. But the best part of all, of course, the white sand beaches with clear turquoise coloured water. This was our first time in BVI and we were endlessly amazed by the colour and warmth of the water. We swam with snorkeling gear and observed beautiful coral reefs with various types of fish and sea creatures. The closest beach from the villa is about 5 -8 min walk and is very well kept and has its own small coral reef. It was by far the most relaxing and rejuvenating vacation and we will come back.

Fantastic Rental in Tortola

I rented Flamingo Sunset for a birthday celebration with 7 other friends. I cannot say enough good things about this rental! There was enough space for everyone to spread out and the views were just phenomenal. We enjoyed several sunsets at the large table on the upper deck and the pool was refreshing and very big (even had all of the pool toys!). The house was well resourced, kitchen was well stocked, and the chairs and towels made for lazy days at the beach . We even arranged for Driftwood Spa to come to the house for massages on the balcony. I would highly recommend provisioning ahead so you have essentials waiting for you (we used Riteway) and definitely order Roti from Pinky (best we had on island). The Belmont/West End area felt private and off the beaten path but close to everything g. The roads across the island and leading to the house take some getting used to, but we got the hang of it quickly and were met upon our arrival to show us the way. I could go on and on about this rental…suffice it to say book if you have the chance. Tortola and Flamingo Sunset were just magical and I know we will be back!

Gorgeous, relaxing vacation!

The views from this home are stunning and we had everything we needed to enjoy time with our family. We were a quick drive to Smugglers Cove for some of the most beautiful, peaceful aquamarine water ever. Nigel’s, Sugar Mill cafe, Coalpot, and Tropical Fusion were all super close. Oh, and ask for Captain Tom (Island Surf and Sail) for a perfect day out on the water snorkeling and exploring the islands.
