LOCATION: Breweries, Restaurants, Shops, Parks, Scenic River Trails, Bike Rentals, and so much more, all walking distance from the home. All just Blocks away. Great location for visiting Downtown Denver, Red Rocks, and the Rocky Mountains.

Don't judge a book by its cover. The interior of the Historic Brewer's Vintage bungalow is tastefully remodeled with modern touches. The home sits on a 0.32 acre lot and is surrounded with Mother Nature's Natural Landscaping, there is no lawn. It is on a quiet corner, but blocks to it all.

(Zoned in Downtown Golden! Legally Approved STR--not a primary residence so no owner clutter on site.)

The remodel was carefully crafted to instill modern comforts, while maintaining the beautiful charm of the vintage home.

The host was quite welcoming.The beds are AMAZING!The living room is small but cozy.Very convenient to town and Coors.There is no storage in the upstairs bedrooms.There are a few issues I strongly recommend they fix:The upstairs bathroom fan is extremely loud, probably around 40 decibels. A low sone fan is needed.The shower window is sealed with scotch tape, very strange.

Very clean and a great location!! The only drawback was we had to go buy fans for our bedrooms- the window units just don’t cool the air well. The fans made it comfortable.

Everything was easy and clean. Great location for town and to visit other areas of Colorado. Such as Co.Sprgs. And Estes Park. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint is the upstairs bedroom has a King in a small room. And my friend kept hitting the side and ended up with several bruises from the foot end of the bed. And having a reading light would have been nice to be able to read in bed. Other wise, I would not hesitate to stay there again!!! Thank you for having this available!

Perfect location for Golden, CO. We walked everywhere downtown and easy drive to Boulder and Red Rocks. Can sleep 8 in the 4 king beds. Plenty to do very close.

Perfect location and plenty of room

I have to admit I received strange looks when our guests arrived. This brewers cottage looks small, but the inside had plenty of room. Parking was great, location was awesome, and every evening we sat outside and watched the meteor showers in the back yard. The place had everything we needed. Thank you!

Adorable House!

I knew the pictures showed the inside being nice. However when we arrived we were blown away! The house is deceiving from the outside, and looks small, but it is actually very roomy inside. The house is decorated so nice, and the kitchen is fully stocked. The only thing is the description needs to be changed to a 4 bedroom house because the bedrooms in the basement actually are separate. Wonderful house and if I ever go to Golden again I will certainly stay at this house!

Judging a book by its cover

My heart sank when we drove up to the property, no curb appeal what so ever, like a safe house that had been dropped in the middle of a vacant lot, shocking. We were pleased once inside, rather like a sheik's tent, the outside was awful, but the inside was cute, the beds were comfortable, the place was cozy. The bar across the street, Goosetown, was a pleasant surprise, live music, great patio. Good location, we enjoyed our stay after the initial shock of the barren and run down exterior. But it is surprising that nothing has been done to dress this property up just a little, we never got passed how decrepit it appeared outside.

Golden is a beautiful rustic mountain town with lots of charm. We are not big city. This home reflects this. If you are looking for the sparkle and dazzle of the big city and new built, this home make not be for you. This is a vintage home of one of the original brewers of Golden. The home was freshly painted on the exterior and fully remodeled inside. As hosts we are unable to please everyone, but hopefully by reading the other reviews potential guests can understand the true charm and essence of the home.

Great location, a lot of rules

Overall, this place can comfortably accommodate a small group, but because of the property management's constant rules and expectations, I would not recommend staying here. Pros: - Clean, with a well equipped kitchen and bathrooms - Comfortable beds (though not memory foam mattress as advertised, if that's important to you) - Walkable to downtown Golden Cons: - The place was covered in signs vaguely threatening to charge for basically anything little thing we did wrong, to the point where we just didn't feel welcome and worried we'd get charged for something negligible - if you run out of items you are responsible to pay to replace them, I’ve stayed in dozens of properties and have never seen this - The check-out "request" list was unreasonably long, considering the cleaning fee included including taking out trash or possibly being charged, starting the laundry and starting the dish washer. - 90% of the lighting is fluorescent/office-style lighting (again, if that's important to you) One more thing to note: two days before our reservation, I was asked to send a photo of a government ID specifically via text and not via VRBO; I did not feel comfortable doing this but was told I wouldn't get access to the reservation unless I did. I don’t have a problem sharing my ID, but all things should be done through the app.

We are so happy to hear the beds were comfortable and the home clean. Two of many top priorities. We do provide toilet paper, paper towel, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, coffee, and more. If the guests do run out we do ask they replenish what is needed for themselves. Not sure about the charge you are referencing? With the long cycle time of towels and dishes, we do ask guests to start a load. Thanks to the last guest starting the loads we were able to provide you the courtesy ‘Early’ check-in you requested. No charge for early check-in if possible, and thanks to the start of the loads we were able to accommodate your request. City trash is collected weekly. For privacy, we do not enter the homes for trash collection. It would make the most sense for the guest to bring out their trash to the bins for city collection rather than for us to go in. If the last guest misses a trash collection, it would leave you with a full bin, and you would have complained about that. As hosts, we select homes where owners who devote love, thought, and care into their fully remodeled rentals. We do set a standard. Hence the 5 stars ⭐️ from many of our guests. Owners are inviting strangers into their homes. They do ask to know who is coming in. Guests are welcome to message directly via text or through the app. We understand we cannot please everyone. But we do provide a quality service that still drives great reviews. That says a lot. All the best!

Unbeatable location, clean, but could use a little more

If you are looking for a perfect location in Golden, you really can’t beat this house. It is 2 blocks from the tube rentals that will allow you to tube the river (super fun) and within walking distance of everything downtown Golden. The house is old but has been renovated inside and the king beds are comfortable. A few things worth mentioning: the house is advertised as having air conditioning, which I usually assume means central air. There is no central air. There are window units upstairs, both in the kitchen and in the two bedrooms. There are no window units downstairs so you have to rely on fans. The window units kept the house fairly cool, but I would have. been warm if I had slept downstairs. There is no landscaping outside or anything to sit on outside. The house is just plopped down on an empty lot so the outside leaves a lot to be desired. I usually love to drink my coffee outside and there are no chairs or anything to do that, plus, without any landscaping at all, it’s just not pretty, which could easily be remedied with an outdoor table and chairs, a fence, and a little landscaping. This is also the first VRBO I have stayed at in years that didn’t provide coffee. There is a coffee pot but coffee isn’t provided - which is not a big deal, it’s just pretty standard these days to provide coffee. Overall, the house is fine, but it is small and doesn’t have central air or any real ambience outside - but in a great location.

Great location in Golden!

6 friends stayed for a long weekend in Golden. The cottage, like others say, is deceiving from the outside, yet cozy and comfortable on the inside. Especially appreciated all the King beds - super comfy and we all slept great! Kitchen well stocked; extra pillows, blankets and towels available. Location can't be beat as its easily walkable into downtown. Bonus is the Golden Mill right across the street for food, drinks and entertainment (doesn't stay open very late, so no neighborhood noise). Easy check in / check out and communication with owners provided quick responses. Thanks for accommodating our early check in and extra hour on check out!

Nice little place.

Overall this is a nice place. It was clean and had comfortable beds. Though downtown Golden is walkable, I expected it to be a little closer to town.
