Ground floor Apt just 150ft from the Beach. Lovely open floor plan.
Cool Stone accents throughout the unit.
Kitchen with Ref, Stove/Oven, Toaster, Blender and Coffee Maker.
AirConditioning Included. Cell Provided for Island Use.

6 Acres of Fenced/Gated Property located within the Marine Reserve means we have THE BEST SNORKELING on the whole of Roatan :)
We also have our own DOCK which means you can catch Dive or Fishing Tours directly from our property :) maybe even have your own small boat while on vacation.

Our property manager is very LOVED and will make your experience on the Island very special.

We now have 1 Kayak for rent at $20 per day and If you would like to organize any additional Kayaks ahead of time for rent any vehicles etc Miriam is a FAB resource to ensure you have the BEST Vacation at The Sanctuary.

We are within minutes to restaurants, Sandy Bay Divers, grocery shopping and night life. Our staff also offers cooking, baby sitting and housekeeping for an additional fee.

Perfect spot to get away from the tourist/busy areas but still have places to go within walking distance. Host was awesome and super easy to work with. On site employees Mirian, Johnny and Victor were beyond kind and helpful!

Would go again. Did not have a car. Taxis did the trick. Had great advice and treatment from staff.

Great location on Sandy Bay

The insight manager, Marian is amazing! She is so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at the Sanctuary because of her!

The Sanctuary is just that!

This is my favorite property to stay on the island! Mariam is fantastic and there for you and all your needs. The property is gorgeous, and you have your own dock right by the dolphin pen. The best place to watch the sunset is on this dock! I love the location too, close to lots to do but not too close to the touristy stuff where there are lots of people.

My apartment was clean and well appointed. It is a 1/4 mile walk to the dive shop and bar/restaurant. Situated just off the beach in sight of a dolphin enclosure

The property is very quiet and within close proximity of the ocean. The private dock has a view of the dolphin sanctuary, which is cool. There is amazing snorkeling just off the dock, some of the best on the island. The best part was the staff that manages and maintains the property, very kind and helpful. The property is close to the West End and is a desirable place to visit when you need "city life". The south west side of the island is where you want to be and this is perfectly located.

Paradise

Marian the host was the person that made it the best place ever. The kindness and attentiveness to all our needs made this the best trip ever. The location made it easy to enjoy all parts of the island. We have all ready booked for next year and are staying one week longer than this year. Thank you to Georgie and Lucile 'the owner'. The Sanctuary

My 14 year old daughter and I loved our stay at the Bamboo Apartment. Miriam and everyone else working at the Santuary is extremely kind and helpful. The grounds and views from the beach are gorgeous, and you can snorkel right off the shore. The Sanctuary is a peaceful, beautiful refuge away from most of the resorts and tourists. For us, it was a perfect home base from which to explore the island. Keep in mind that Sandy Bay is a public, if quiet, less popular beach. You will find trash on the sand and cars and motorcycles drive up on the beach. You will also encounter poverty when you leave the Sanctuary property, and throughout Roatan unless you remain in strictly tourist areas (such as West Bay, from what I hear). It's hard to

Home away from Home

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and part of the Sanctuary family. Miriam , Johnny, Maria and all the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The property was immaculate and well maintained. The dock was the loveliest ocean "living room" you could imagine, with views of the dolphins and many sea creatures like starfish, lionfish, moray eels, trumpetfish and sergeant majors, just to name a few of the spectacular visitors around the dock. The local medical clinic was well equipped and helpful at a time of need. We highly recommend this complex for convenient access to grocery stores (Ramirez), pharmacies and good restaurants,

Peaceful Paradise

We loved our stay at the Sanctuary. Just steps outside of our unit was a dock which provided the perfect viewing of Anthony's Key dolphin enclosure and easy snorkeling entry. We spent every day watching free dolphin performances and snorkeling in the surrounding reefs. This Sandy Beach location provided a relaxing, peaceful vacation, but was just an inexpensive 10 minute taxi drive away from the busy West End area. Miriam, Johnny and Victor take much pride in hosting their guests, maintaining the lush tropical grounds and catering to every need of their visitors. Nearby is the Blue Bahia Restaurant which has good local food and live music. We definitely recommend the Sanctuary to anyone vacationing in Roatan.

Welcome Vibe

This was a really nice apartment. Cozy nestled in greenery with mangos every where. The beach was just a few feet from the apartment. Miriam and Johnny were great host. My family was in West Bay, too much brick and windy. This apartment is in Sandy Bay with trees, fruit, beach, beautiful sunset, and quite. Victor kept us safe. Thanks everyone for a great short vacay. Ill be back.

Stay in paradise!

We have fallen in love with Roatan and The Sanctuary!!! There are a team of people here to look after you. Miriam, the property manager all I can say is an amazing person!! Always a phone call away. Johnnie the grounds keeper also a great chef for island food and fruit from the garden!!And don’t forget Victor who makes you feel safe with his nightly rounds. And the added bonus of a daily dolphin show 50 ft away. I researched for a month find this place and I am so glad I found it!!! Our new cologne here was off!! It is a jungle!!

The Bamboo Apartment

We had an amazing 10 day visit to Roatan. The Bamboo Apartment and The Sanctuary property were fantastic!! The apartment was clean, bright with a full kitchen the. It was in a perfect location just steps from the beach. There is a pier/dock that has a covered seating area to sit and watch the sunset or watch the dolphins across the bay. The grounds were beautiful and kept immaculate, raked and cared for daily. Miriam, Johnny, Victor and the crew were wonderful. Everyone was friendly, attentive and took care of everything. We will be back and will definitely refer family and friends.

Beautiful spot close to the beach

The grounds are filled with palm trees and lovely flowers. There are landscapers keeping it clean every day. The covered dock is fabulous to sit and read, watch the dolphins and a great spot to start snorkeling from. The very clean apartment has bright colours and a full kitchen. We missed having a microwave but are able to heat food in the stove. There are some neighborhood places to eat and buy snacks or beer lol Miriam is a great host. Always willing to help and is easy and prompt to communicate with. Wish we would have stayed longer.
