The guest house is lovely. Just big enough for what we needed. Our host Alan was fantastic! He was easy to touch base with when we needed to and was very gracious in his gestures. He picked us up at the airport and stopped at a grocery store for us. Offered several other store runs if we needed. He shared some of his home roasted cashews from their property! And a lovely key lime pie he had made fresh! He also was a great source of information for good sites to see, as well as how to handle the locals, especially the taxis. And he was generous enough to give us a ride back to the airport. The house was great, we enjoyed the screened in deck quite a bit, but the winner was the hammocks out on the dock! Was great to just lay out on the water.We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Sandra, but our experience with Alan was fantastic! We would highly recommend this stay!!

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. The house sits right on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach, and the private dock was the highlight of our trip. We walked to the end, hopped in, and were snorkeling on the reef within minutes. Having that right out the front door made every day feel effortless.The owners live next door and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They set us up with kayaks, hammocks, and snorkel gear, and their restaurant recommendations were spot on. Their two dogs were sweet and a joy to see wandering around the property. They quickly felt like part of the experience.The house itself was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed, so we could settle in and relax from day one. If you're looking for a quiet, well-cared-for beachfront spot with hosts who truly care about your stay, this is it. One of our best VRBO experiences! We'd come back in a heartbeat.

Al and Sandra’s place is excellent. It’s located right on the water and in a good spot in Sandy Bay. You can rent a car and go lots of different directions. You have your own house and if run into any issues the owners are on the property and want you to have an excellent trip so will help you with anything that pops up. We would recommend the property.

We had such an incredible stay. The house is perfectly situated for both snorkeling and sunsets, Sandra and Al (and their delightful dogs) are just the very best hosts. It's a slice of paradise and it was the very best way for us to finish out our Roatán trip.

Situated on an a lovely beach and so near the reefs off the dock, this lovely house will make you wish you didn’t have to leave. Al and Sandra are fantastic and so helpful. The area is quiet and peaceful. Sitting on the screen deck after the sun went down was idiotic and relaxing. If you are looking to unwind, this is the place.

The house is really close to the beach and great inside. Very well equipped kitchen with bottled water dispenser. The high ceilings in the living room/kitchen are nice on a rainy day. In the evening you can sit either outside or on the screen porch. Ideal hosts: friendly and solicitous.

We had a wonderful time at the Spooky Channel guest house! The property was beautiful, exactly as described. Clean, comfortable and well maintained. Al and Sandra shared lots of valuable information both before and during our stay. It really helped us relax and enjoy our first trip to Roatan. The dogs were so sweet and well behaved. Best location on the island!

Al and Sandra are great hosts and great people! Added plus for us was their two really sweet dogs. The guest house we stayed is so cute, too!! Everything was great. Highly recommend.

We felt welcomed from the start and were greeted with fresh apple bananas (and later fresh picked star fruit & coconut). Al and Sandra were very informative and made sure you had the best Roatán experience. Postcard views when you leave your front door. Perfect sunsets off the dock. We of course snorkeled and kayaked the spooky channel. Every morning there are guided services to this location and it's accessible from the property. They also have two sweet dogs that made it feel like a home away from home. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I wish I could give this spot 10/5 stars! Al and Sandra (and Hope/Molly) are the most wonderful hosts, they were super helpful and welcoming, and the house was well stocked. Kayaking out to spooky channel and snorkeling the reef, walking through their fruit trees, watching the waves from the porch - this place is a gem! We were close enough to everything we could want without being crowded, tucked away on their peaceful property a short drive from the bustle of the west bay/west end areas. If you're considering a trip to Roatan, this is THE place to stay.

Beachfront with great hospitality

We had a wonderful getaway. The Spooky Channel guest house was just what we were looking for. Relaxing beachfront location off the beaten path. Great snorkeling in the reef not far from the dock. Our hosts provided great hospitality.
