Inspired by the expressionist movement Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider), founded at the beginning of the 20th century, this house invites you to settle down and recharge your batteries. The very name, Cavalier Bleu, echoes the quest for creative freedom and pure beauty that inspired the artists of the expressionist movement. Each room pays tribute to a French composer who, during his lifetime, was inspired by the wild beauty of Normandy. Each room is carefully decorated to create a unique atmosphere, conducive to relaxation and reflection.

Bed linen and household linen are provided in the accommodation for your comfort. No private parking is available with the accommodation. However, you can park your vehicle in the streets near the accommodation according to the city's current parking rates. The accommodation is managed by the concierge service l'ArchiDuchesse, which can be reached 7 days a week from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 21:00. We thank you for taking care of the accommodation and for respecting the premises and the neighbourhood. To this end, you will be asked to provide a bank imprint via a secure link in order to finalise your reservation and obtain the access codes to the accommodation.

## Neighborhood

Yvetot, located in the Seine-Maritime region of Normandy, is a commune that combines the charm of a small town with the convenience of a dynamic urban centre. With around 12,000 inhabitants.
Yvetot is ideally located, halfway between Rouen and Le Havre. Thanks to its well-connected train station, the town can be reached from Paris in around 1 hour 45 minutes, making it a popular place to live. You're around 30 minutes from the famous cliffs of Étretat or the beaches of Fécamp.

Yvetot has an interesting history that is reflected in its architecture and monuments, such as Saint-Pierre Church, a modern building constructed after the Second World War, known for its huge concrete dome and impressive stained-glass window, one of the largest in Europe, or the Manoir du Fay, located on the outskirts and a popular place for a stroll.

Yvetot is a lively, bustling town. The town centre is packed with local shops, restaurants and practical services, making it a dynamic place for residents and visitors alike. The town regularly organises events such as markets, fairs and shows at the Théâtre des Vikings, an iconic cultural venue. Yvetot offers high quality schools and colleges, as well as a variety of sports facilities for sports enthusiasts and families.

Although located in an urban area, Yvetot is surrounded by the typical Pays de Caux countryside, with its lush green valleys and bucolic landscapes. There are a number of hiking trails to explore these picturesque surroundings. Yvetot offers the best of both worlds: the dynamism of a small town and the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside.

Yvetot, though modest in size, is well connected and accessible by a variety of modes of transport. Here's a guide to getting around in and around the town:

1. On foot or by bike :
The city centre is compact and easy to get around on foot. The main amenities (shops, schools, public services) are close together.
Cycle facilities: Although cycle paths are still being developed, many streets are quiet and passable for cyclists. It's a practical and environmentally-friendly way to get around locally.
Walking: For walking enthusiasts, the town is surrounded by footpaths that allow you to explore the Pays de Caux countryside.

2. By car:
Parking: Yvetot has several free or low-cost car parks in the town centre, making it easy to get around for shopping or accessing services.

Roads:
The RN15, linking Rouen to Le Havre, runs through the town.
There are also a number of departmental roads providing easy access to the surrounding villages.
Car hire: Several local agencies offer car hire services for those who do not own a car.

3. By public transport:

Train :
Yvetot SNCF station: Located in the town centre, this is a hub for regional and national journeys.
Paris-Le Havre line: With stops in Rouen, Le Havre and other major towns. The journey to Rouen takes around 20 minutes.
Direct trains to Paris in around 1h45, convenient for workers or getaways.

Buses and coaches:
NOMAD regional network: Bus routes connect Yvetot to neighbouring towns, including Barentin, Bolbec and Caudebec-en-Caux.

4. By taxi or VTC :

## Notes

Arrivals are autonomous for greater flexibility. They start at 4pm and depart no later than 11am.

The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10am to 9pm). In the house, all our guests receive household linen, basic necessities for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, toilet paper, etc.) as well as a large towel per person, together with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit with kitchen bin bag, bathroom bin bag, sponge and dishwasher liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.

We are committed to providing a pleasant experience, however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Any mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel freshening, replenishment of essentials or deliveries can be arranged on request at an additional cost. When you confirm your stay, you will receive the ArchiDuchesse tourist booklet, our vouchers with promotional codes for our partners of choice and the arrival instructions for your accommodation.

The Cour de l'Archiduchesse offers a range of services to make your stay as pleasant as possible: baby equipment hire, luggage storage, shuttle service, baby-sitting, gourmet boxes, requests for sightseeing tours, creation of events (wedding proposals, birthdays, room themes, etc.) and much more! Taking advantage of a rental also means respecting a few rules to ensure that everything runs smoothly and to avoid any surprises with the deposit! Remember to look after the property as if it were your own: avoid damage, respect the furniture and leave it clean when you leave. Respect the rules on opening hours and the use of equipment, and respect the peace and quiet of your neighbours. And if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to let us know. Don't forget that parties are strictly forbidden (€250 deducted from the deposit), that the accommodation is entirely non-smoking (€200 deducted from the deposit), that pets are forbidden (€100 deducted from the deposit) unless requested and agreed in advance by us and that any loss, theft or damage will be invoiced at the actual replacement value.
