Great unit - would definitely return

Our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 children) had a wonderful time at the Kamaole Beach Royale unit 212! The location was fantastic with a short walk to the beach and a good variety of small businesses to peruse nearby. The unit was clean and had a good variety of cooking supplies on hand. For the most part, the one ac unit does a good job along with the overhead fans. There were fans in one of the closets to better distribute the air. As long as you don't mind sleeping with your door open, then we found the temperature to be fine. Consistent with other reviewers, we found that the master bedroom did lack privacy and would greatly benefit from curtains being installed. I can't say it bothered us a great deal, and we felt we could make it work without. That would have been one of the few improvements that could be implemented to make it a better stay.One thing we found surprising, was that The apartment is within a small apartment building complex rather than condos. The exterior is nothing impressive, but you will find such nice units exist within! The view even from the second floor was very nice and we could occasionally see whales breaching in the distance! The 7th floor shared barbecue and dining space is outstanding. There are people who are up there every night and they are simply delightful! People share the two barbecue grills quite well and we found it to be a huge plus in having a more personalized, and slightly more affordable dinner dining experience.Unit 212 is an end unit and benefits from the side staircase since you are closest to the beach and the outdoor hoses to rinse off the beach sand. The nearby beach is great and has some nice little reefs for snorkeling. We also took some day trips to other nearby beaches in Wailea which was very convenient.
