We love hearing how comfortable the guest suite is, and how beautiful the pond and gardens are, and how relaxing the pool and spa are after a busy day. Glad we made your visit to the "Old City" a happy and memorable one. Thanks again for staying at "Paradise Found". David

Paradise so close to the city

Me and my wife stayed 4 nights at this wonderful property. The accommodations were just right for us and the back yard was glorious with several areas to sit and get sun or shade and to relax between outings. A small pool and hot tub were nice and warm providing us respite from our Maine winter. The hosts were friendly an available, but kept to themselves. We would book this proprty again.

A serene place to stay.

The gardens are beautiful. If you mostly want to just relax, maybe read a book, this is the place. If you want to get out it's an easy walk to downtown if your reasonably fit or you can drive to the beach or other attractions on Anastasia Island. The studio was very well equipped. We stayed for a week, ate most meals in and the small kitchen had everything we needed.

From the minute we booked our stay, and received a welcoming text from Dave&Jed, it was evident of how much love & care they put into their home. That care easily transfers to their guests, not missing a beat on providing everything from a spare toothbrush to excellent suggestions for activities and restaurants. This was our 30th wedding anniversary, when we arrived there was a bottle wine and a nice card waiting for us. Upon arrival seeing the gardens for the first time was unbelievable it looked like a private rain forrest. The private pool was amazing and so much fun. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Town was quick walk or drive away. The host are very helpful and nice. If you need a beautiful place to stay close to St Augustine this is it!

Cozy Accommodations for One or Two!

This property is extremely clean and perfect for one or two adults looking to stay in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to many bars, restaurants, shops and historic sites. If you like to grill, check out Chop Shop (within easy walking or biking distance) for fresh seafood, produce and good wine. Nestled in a shaded botanical retreat on the tip of Anastasia Island, just across the Bridge of Lions from historic downtown St. Augustine, our slice of paradise awaits you. My husband Jed and I are passionate adventurers with a deep love for nature. As a Master Gardener and Landscape Designer, Jed has a keen eye for beauty, while my background as a retired Professor of Biology and Environmental Science allows me to appreciate and medal with the intricate wonders of our surroundings.
In 2015, we were drawn to St. Augustine's warm climate and breathtaking landscapes, deciding to make this enchanting city our home. Three years later, we built our dream house, complete with a private guest suite designed to share our lifestyle with kindred spirits.
Our carefully crafted space offers all the amenities we cherish, allowing our guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and rich history of St. Augustine. Whether you're an avid hiker like us or simply seeking a tranquil retreat, our location provides the perfect base for exploring beautiful St. Augustine in this captivating corner of Florida.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

Discover the perfect balance of adventure and tranquility at our unique retreat. Just a short stroll from the vibrant heart of town, our guests can easily immerse themselves in the rich history and charm of America's oldest city. Hop on a trolley to explore the quaint architecture, dine at exquisite restaurants, and visit fascinating museums at your leisure.
While other accommodations may offer proximity to downtown, our quiet property provides an unparalleled escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac at the northern tip of Anastasia Island just across the bridge from town, our serene retreat is in a central location offering easy access to the Ocean, State Park, Lighthouse, Alligator Farm and Amphitheater setting us apart from the rest.
Step into our lush backyard, where paved paths meander through breathtaking botanical gardens reminiscent of "Old Florida." Here, you'll find an ever-changing tapestry of blooms and the tallest trees in the area, providing sanctuary to ospreys, owls, eagles, and herons as they rest before soaring over the surrounding waters.
Whether you choose to explore the nearby beaches and natural areas on our complimentary bikes or simply unwind in our peaceful oasis, you'll understand why our guests have lovingly dubbed this place "Paradise Found."
