Earth and Sky Retreat | AC, Pool, Hot Tub, Golf & Ski

Earth and Sky Retreat and Tamarron Resort (Lodge #512) is our studio condo with mini kitchen and one full bath, conveniently located near the resort amenities including golf course, heated pool, hot tub, and fitness center. The kitchenette is very functional with mini fridge, 2 stovetop burners, microwave, toaster oven, crock pot and coffee maker. Wifi speeds are appx 100+ mbps. The Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course is a private golf course located at Tamarron Resort. As a guest staying at Tamarron, you'll have the privilege of playing the course at the Tamarron rate — a great perk of your stay! Details to book your tee time will be provided in your rental instructions.

This mountain condo is located in the lodge close to the new indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub and fitness center. Easily accommodates 6 guests. Flat screen TV / DVD player. Bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower combo. Enjoy Tamarron's beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains and wildlife but still close enough to the town of Durango.

ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE: These amenities are included with your reservation: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, playground. These amenities are available, but with an extra fee on a pay-per-use basis: golf at private course at the Tamarron rate, tennis, pickleball, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge. There is a $20 per person ski shuttle to Purgatory on weekends during ski season only - tickets must be purchased in advance and the pick-up location is in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

AWD or 4WD is recommended in Winter (Dec-Mar).

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities.

Everything was great. The only issue was that the people next to us were extremely loud both nights we were there very late into the night.

Reviewer Comments: Pros:Comfortable room, beautiful view, great location to Purgatory and Durango, lovely pools, big bathroom, vaulted ceilings make the room feel bigger. Beds were comfortable, lots of pillows. Friendly staff around resort. Kitchen stocked with all the dishes we needed. Overall great room!Cons:window shades are not light blocking- the room is so bright in the morning it is hard to sleep past 6am. Carpet has a couple nails sticking out at the seam, glass coffee table bruised everyone's shins.

Everything was great except some of the electrical plugs didn’t work. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great location, dated room

Beautiful location. Great ammenities--pool and gym are amazing. The room itself is very dated. The dining table and chairs have to be pushed against wall to access soft sleeper so you don't have a dining/table area if the bed is out. Many outlets didn't work so we had to sacrifice lights and lamps to charge devices. Great access to Purgatory and horseback riding.

We have had our maintenance technician ensure the outlets are working. Sometimes the GFCI just needs to be reset on the outlet itself. Thank you for letting us know! Traveling with grandchildren

It is very nice. Beds were comfortable. The pull out sofa could use some attention. The photos made it look larger. Since there were 5 of us we needed the pull out. With it open there was very little room to move around in that area. I would not recommend the property for more tha n 4 people.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I enjoyed my stay, but unfortunately an emergency came up and I was unable to stay for the full time. I contacted the property to see if they could accommodate me with a partial refund and they did not give me any help.

It was well equipped with dish detergent, soap, utensils, dishes, microwave, refrigerator and everything I needed. The rugs had some ugly stains. I suggest thoroughly cleaning or replacing the carpet. The amenities such as the pools were a nice feature. The staff were always helpful and friendly. My daughter and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here.

just an okay place . Location is good

location good. View good. Kitchenette and furnishing looks old. The bed was fresh but sheet could use a good wash . I was itchy afterwards . Found a bug in the sheets as well. The carpet b/w the room and the kitchen was peeling off and the nails were poking out .It stuck my toe and thats when I realized. Its rusted as well. If you are looking for a qick stay and with not much of expectations and only the location matters then this could be ideal

Great views and clean room!!

We stayed in July 2022 in unit 512. Easy check-in process and all info was provided via email and an app prior to arriving. The property was located on the golf course which had amazing views of the 18th hole from our room. The property was very well maintained. The studio room was a little outdated but accommodated 4 of us comfortably, with 2 queen beds and pull out couch. It had vaulted ceiling so made the room feel bigger. Room was very clean and had coffee pot and some kitchen items. This room had a small cooktop but we didn't use and a small refrigerator as well. Gym had all you need for a good workout and locker rooms had steam room and sauna. My husband and son were able to play a round of golf- only downside was that the Junior rate is only good for 15 and under so my 17 year old had to pay the full rate but they enjoyed the round. Only a few cons- Internet was spotty and didn't get great phone reception. We wish they had more food options on site. The Basecamp market and restaurant is only open Thurs-Sun but was closed on Thurs and Friday when we were there. The Mineshaft restaurant was nice but definitely recommend reservations. This place was about 15 min from downtown and there were tons of great restaurant options there.
