Welcome to the "High Cotton Beach Cottage," a cozy and relaxing getaway situated on a quiet stretch of Scenic Hwy 30A between Alys Beach and Camp Creek Lake, facing the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. This cottage is perfectly located between two public beach access points, just 200 yards in either direction, making it an easy 4-minute walk to the beach. Enjoy the serene gulf view from the rocking chairs on the covered front porch or unwind on the deck overlooking the private 12 x 24 pool.

With 1500 sq. ft. of living space, this beach cottage offers an attractive and comfortable accommodation for your family, destined to become your favorite summer vacation spot. The top floor features a spacious den with a large TV, a dining area with an additional television and a game table, a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast nook, and a convenient half bath. Although compact, the kitchen provides all the amenities you'll need while away from home. Stairs lead down from the kitchen deck to the fenced pool area, where you'll find an enclosed shower with hot and cold water. There's also an enclosed play area under the deck near the pool, complete with a sand sandbox and a swing. Downstairs, you'll discover three bedrooms (1 king and 2 queens), two full bathrooms, and a laundry area equipped with a full-size front-loading stackable washer and dryer. Each of the bedrooms is furnished with a TV.

"High Cotton Beach Cottage" is conveniently located near the heart of some of the most popular areas on 30A. You can easily explore the activities and amenities of Seagrove, Seaside (6 mi. west), Alys Beach, and Rosemary Beach (3 mi. east) without the upscale prices. The surrounding area is abundant in natural beauty, charming shops, restaurants, and various outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, fishing, windsurfing, or paddleboarding. The bike path in front of the cottage runs the length of Scenic 30A, and there are bike rental shops nearby or feel free to bring your own. Additionally, Lake Powell, located nearby, offers a public boat ramp for waterskiing, jet skiing, and fishing.

When you're ready to unwind and bask in the sun, "High Cotton Beach Cottage" is the perfect spot with its private pool and proximity to the miles of sugar white sand beaches. There's even a beach cart provided to make it easy for you to transport your beach gear.

Rymer Family Vacay

This place is 10/10 for character, convenience, and coziness. I highly recommend this house if you like the old Florida beach house charm and don’t mind a quick walk to the beach. The private pool was perfect size for the entire family and a real game changer for our vacation. Loved, loved, loved our vacation at High Cotton.

Awesome Place

Our family vacation at "High Cotton Beach Cottage" was an absolute pleasure! The cottage is charming and cozy, offering three spacious bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. We particularly loved the private pool and the short, four-minute walk to the beach. The upstairs porch provided beautiful gulf views, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The location is excellent, with easy access to Seagrove, Seaside, Alys Beach, and Rosemary Beach. This cottage is ideal for families looking to enjoy the best of 30A. Highly recommend for a memorable beach getaway!

Family Vacation

The house itself was fine. The outside of the property needs work. Railing on back porch needs fixed. It is coming loose. We was afraid it would fall. Some of the boards on deck around the pool were loose and sticking up. This caused a trip hazard for some of us. The cleaning crew or the last renters did not sweep or clean the floors good. We found food crumbs and a lot of sand on arrival. Other than that it was a really nice place. We all enjoyed it. Made some happy memories.

less than desirable rental

This property was a lot older than the pictures reflected. Our most disturbing find was a lot of cockroaches and smaller dead bugs everywhere. Also was very strange how the main access lock was directly into the master bedroom door! That was very inconvenient having our other family guests have to bring their suitcases, etc. through that door. Also the pictures did not reflect a spiral staircase which made carrying items between the levels a necessity to come through that door. Very strange layout in this older property and needs a lot of repair and painting outside. Front railing area coming un-nailed, etc.

Could be so much better

I want to start off by saying that we had a good time and the property is fine. It could be so much better though! Really just needs some TLC. Pressure washing and paint along with some repair on the deck would go along way. I think my biggest complaint is that I did not realize the master bedroom was a converted garage. All three of the bedrooms are on the basement level and just feels very disconnected from the rest of the house. The pool area was very nice. The kitchen was very very small, but then the dining room was massive in comparison. Proximity to the beach was good. About a 5 to 7 minute walk and you could be on the beach. you have a lot of steps to go down, but the whole area is kind of that way. I feel like the price was in line with what you get. No complaints about the value.

Cool Setup - Run Down House

Overall a cool property as far as flow, but was pretty run down and not very clean. The grounds around the house did not appear to have had any maintenance done to them in quite a while. A pressure washing and some coats of paint can go a long way. The stairs coming down from the back deck to the pool area had nail heads popping up in a quite a few places which is never fun when walking around barefoot. The outdoor shower really needs to be condemned, unless you like rotten wood and mold with your shower. Under the front decking by the main entry doors there are wasp nests. Unfortunately one of our guests was attacked by them and stung multiple times. The beach chairs provided were rusted out and defective. The supplied BBQ grill is on its last leg and was pretty nasty. On the inside, there are soft spots in the second level flooring which did not seem safe at all. For as much they charge to rent this place, I had higher hopes.

The best place to stay!

We love staying here! This Is the perfect place for our family! Huge master suite and 2 super roomy bedrooms. Upstairs holds a gorgeous kitchen and living area. The private pool out back was our families favorite part. It even has an outdoor private shower in the back that my little boy thought was so cool. The beach was a very short walk across the road and every day was beautiful. It isn't super crowded like other places we have gone. We were able to set up our chairs for the day right next to the water. At night it's quite and you can see stars for miles. We loved chasing the crabs on the beach! You are a quick bike ride from the best seafood or sweet treat around. This was truly the best place we have ever stayed and would highly recommend!
