Paradise (almost!)

Very comfortable dwelling, spacious, and super clean! Great outdoor spaces too - front porch and back deck. And perfect location! Only issue is that we wish we were warned about the construction next door to our unit. Very noisy from 7:30am to 4:30pm weekdays!

Property was great!

Our rental was great for our family of 3 including my daughter and mother! It was well equipped with bath towels and beach towels and all linens. We are use to rentals where we need to bring our own towels and sheets and we didn't need to bring anything! There were also beach chairs/toys and pool floats, however we brought our own. :) The pool was perfect for the couple of really windy days when we couldn't sit on the beach. It was also great to take a dip before heading in for the night! The agency was very responsive to any questions we had prior to our trip. We were thrilled to be within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The walk to the beach was not far at all. This was our first trip to AMI and we will definitely return!

Perfect location, nice quiet complex

The location is perfect, only a few house away from a beautiful beach. 2 Blocks from quaint "main street" Pine street. Easy walk to wonderful restaurants. At the northern tip of the Island, traffic is low in town and does not have the party vibe. Unit is well maintained, quiet, with a nice pool for a few unit. Rental firm was incredible response in all aspects. Although traffic more southern in the island and getting on/off can be frustrating, we visited Selby Gardens in Sarasota, historical Cortez Village and Armaund Cirlce shops and eateries and easy found urgent subspecialty medical care in Sarasota, a major medical center. Water tours/activities are plentiful. The non refundable deposit/payments policy needs to be considered and we bought broad cx. policy to balance this risk. Strongly considering repeating the experience.

114 steps to a fantastic beach!

This place exceeded our expectations. The propery was an old bungalow style condo, but exceptionally clean. When we arrived the coffee maker didn't work and the old blender struggled with crushing the ice for Margaritas. I contacted AMI and we went to the beach. When we returned a few hours later we had a brand new coffee maker and brand new very nice blender. We made very good use of both during our time there. If we could afford it, we would be full time residents. Thanks again for a wonderful week on Anna Maria Island! 😀

Tropical vacation

The place had a very tropical feel from the very nice pool area to the closeness to the ocean. Everything we wanted was in walking distance. We definitely would stay here again.

Overall the place is great. Nice hot water in the shower. Clean and kitchen is nicely stocked. Our only issue was Master TV wasn’t working . There are cracks in the floors in all rooms which I’m not sure from what and scary to see. Also the AC is loud in the second bedroom. Ceiling fans need to be cleaned as well. Plenty of towels and lots of things to do on the island

Location , location, location!

We loved every minute of our stay! Perfectly located, clean and quaint. We will definitely be back! My only suggestion would be to equip each unit with a beach umbrella and some beach chairs. The ones available on the property were not in the best shape.

best location

Property was exactly as stated. Location was perfect, beach block. Restaurants within walking distance and overall flat was perfect size with nice private deck with a bistro table and chairs for evening sitting. Pool was definitely a nice bonus for windy beach days.

Everything was great! Bed in Bedroom with one bed is noisy and not comfortable. Everything else was awesome

excellent!

Sand and a sea beach flats was fabulous. Close to beach without crossing a busy street. Pool was very beautiful and side yard with Cornhole game was nice addition. Will try to stay here again sometime in the future.

Location is Everything!

We certainly agree with other reviewers comments on the convenience of the location and quality of the beach. Probably the best in Anna Maria. We can describe this unit as acceptable and in need of some TLC. The beds in the second bedroom were not comfortable. Kitchen cabinet doors, seemingly recently renovated, need adjustment. Wooden fences and gates need some repairs as does the temperamental gas grill and leaky toilet flapper valve. Having said all this, we did have a great week at the beach and will return when the beds are fixed!

Best spot on the Island!

I have been coming to Anna Maria my whole life- my family & myself absolutely fell in love with Sand n Sea! Only steps from the beach, heated pool for the units to share (not many), cozy & spacious 2bedroom villas/ what more could you ask for?! We will be returning this Winter for our 3rd year in a row- how lucky are we to have found this gem! I recommend this to getaway to Anyone year-round...except early Decemeber, that's ours =)

15 year Sand and Sea Vacationeers"

"It is with pleasure that we have been visitors to Sand and Sea, first in February for a few years, and then in March for close to 13 years. It's location at the Northern end of Anna Maria, in a community that has the atmosphere of old Florida and the absence of high rises, makes for a relaxing environment. At Sand and Sea, we are a half block from the beach with no major streets to cross and an easy short return to our unit for rest stops, lunch breaks, etc. We look from our front windows on a well land scaped pool area, assigned parking is near and the single story construction means no stairs! The current owners have made considerable improvements to the units including an outdoor shower which is fully utilized by our family and guests, and we find them very responsive to our needs. We have made friends with four other families who have continued to return at the same time each year, a good indication of the quality of location, facilities and beach experience.

Florida At Its Best

My wife, kids, and friends have stayed at Sand n Sea several times over the past 4 years. We love it! Nicely maintained, old Florida style, and a great value bring us back year after year. The units all surround a well kept pool and just a hundred steps to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The owners have done a great job keeping the place well maintained and great for vacationing. Each unit has its own private deck with hot/cold shower and grill. There is a common area in the back with deck, grill, and recreation space for playing fun games of cornhole. We love it and have already booked the entire place this summer. And to top it all off, the place is completely pet friendly. Our entire group brings several dogs and the owners always accommodate our pets as if they are our children. If you want a piece of old Florida that is nicely maintained, Sand N Sea is the place to go.
