Welcome to SECOND WIND AT MARTINIQUE, a beautifully appointed 3-bedroom, 3-bath home in the Martinique subdivision. Sleeping up to 10 guests, this home offers a first-floor primary suite with king bed and private bath, plus two second-floor bedrooms with flexible sleeping arrangements. Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, open living and dining spaces, tropical landscaping, and a golf cart for convenient beach access. Guests also have access to two pool houses, one with an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub and the other overlooking the Gulf, as well as tennis courts, biking/walking trails, and a fitness center. Perfect for families, groups, or multi-generational vacations in Gulf Shores.



IMPORTANT NOTES

You must be 25 or older to book this property. No smoking. No parties or events. Boats, trailers, and motorcycles are not allowed. Guests are responsible for any fines incurred for violating parking rules.



PET POLICY

This home is dog-friendly for up to two dogs (35 lbs max). Guests must notify us upon booking if bringing a dog. A pet fee applies. The following breeds are prohibited by the association by-laws: Doberman, Rottweiler, Chow, or Pit Bull. No other pets are allowed.



RULES FOR RENTING WITH A DOG

• Dog must be older than 9 months

• Dog must remain on a leash when outside of the house

• Guests must clean up after their dog

• No excessive barking

Nice escape from day to day life

I stayed here with my parents and brother and the family dog. It was very peaceful and beautiful neighborhood. The golf cart provided made getting to the beach access so easy. The house is very comfortable and accommodating but it does seem that some things need to be replaced and updated. Just a little old and worn in places. Still overall a wonderful experience. And we appreciate the opportunity to stay here! Thank you!

Makeover Needed

Second Wind is in need of a makeover. You can justify one or two things in need of attention but when it becomes a list that is another thing. Yes, it was clean. Yes, it is a good location. The house was minimally equipped with plastic and cracking kitchenware, lumpy mattresses, outdated decor, rusted and missing door stops, clogged sink, ceiling fan that sounded like a jet engine, broken window seal, rusty outdoor table…you get the idea. Management was responsive to needs but I hope the owner gives Second Wind the refresh it deserves.

We Caught our Breath at Second Wind!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second visit to Second Wind at Martinique on the Gulf. This time we spent two months and were quick to sign up for two months next year. We had a wonderful time even though the weather was not as favorable as last year. We met many friendly neighbors, both owners and Snowbirds like ourselves. Martinique provides two large clubhouses and pools. While the one pool was being renovated, the other clubhouse featured a indoor-outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. The rental office was kind enough to provide weekly coffee and donuts, a Superbowl party, organize a golf cart Mardi Gras parade and a farewell ice cream social. Social activities included: water yoga, a book club, and "Geezers at the Gazebo." Overall, it was a wonderful relaxing time.

Sunrise properties Is a joke.

I got a 2 tickets by rent a cops as soon as I arrived for having a boat in the neighborhood even tho there aren't any signs saying no boats nor does it say there aren't any boats allowed on the online listing thru Vrbo. I was harassed by sunrise properties a lot to pay the bogus tickets which I still refuse to pay. Then my kids cell phone was accidentally left and I went back to get it. It was gone so I tracked it for 2 days and it went to multiple condos so I guess the cleaning person took it. Tried to call sunrise properties to let them know. They don't care that their cleaners are theirs. The security guard at the phoinex west did more to help me when the location pinged there bc the cleaning lady went there the next day. Still never got it and screw that place. I rent houses regularly in fort Morgan to take my boat and fish and this neighborhood is awful.

Great family vacation!

The house was very nice, roomy and comfortable for our party of 7 (2 families sharing). The kitchen was well stocked. The resort pools and golf cart were great to keep everyone occupied when we needed a break from the sun. We really enjoyed it. Thanks for your hospitality!
