From world-renowned rivers to high-mountain lakes, the area surrounding the Cabin at Sportsman’s Paradise offers some of Colorado’s most iconic fisheries:
• The Dream Stream (South Platte between Spinney & Eleven Mile Reservoirs) – Legendary for trophy-sized browns, rainbows, and cutthroats.

The property was beautiful and the cabin was very clean and was fully stocked with many items. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds on the back patio and loved that there was a direct access to ATV trails.

Quiet!! Great cabin! Comfortable beds and furniture!No fishing directly on Sportsman’s Paradise property, but direct access (with key to gate) to awesome fishing in Wildcat Canyon. Nearby 11 mile creek also. Everything you need in the kitchen is there(condiments, spices etc). Many little touches to improve convenience.We will come back!

We're also happy you enjoyed the incredible fishing opportunities nearby. One of the unique advantages of staying in Sportsman's Paradise is the private gated vehicle access to Wildcat Canyon. While anglers outside the community can reach the canyon, it requires a long, strenuous hike. Our guests can simply drive to the private gate and enjoy much easier access. Because of that limited access, you'll often find far fewer people in the canyon, and many Sportsman's Paradise members consider it one of the best places to catch some of the largest trout in the area. Thank you again for staying with us!

We spent three nights at the cabin. We enjoyed the comfortable couch and recliners in the living room and the deck…the cabin is decorated lovely and equipped with everything you might need…we enjoyed riding the Atv on the national forest trail close to the cabin… the river is quite a ways away from the cabin… disappointing that we could not fish from the river even though we knew that beforehand… There’s a king size bed in one bedroom with only about 18 inches on either side to maneuver yourself out of the room… The second bedroom bed was very uncomfortable, which was disappointing for our adult daughter. there was nowhere to put our groceries so had to leave them in boxes and sacks on the floor…… All in all we had a wonderful family time and we appreciated the chance to be in the mountains for a few days… we appreciated Melissa‘s instant reply to all of our questions and inquiries… She was an excellent hostess!

Quiet Stay

We loved our stay! Traveling with a 2 year old and 6 year old is no joke, the property was clean, well stocked with games, and the outside was peaceful. Great proximity to fishing, hiking, and even swimming spots.

We understand the disappointment about not being able to fly fish directly within the property. The 3-mile stretch of the South Platte River that runs through our community is privately maintained and reserved for members only. The HOA invests significantly to stock and preserve this section for conservation and member access. That said, there’s still fantastic fishing all around the area—both fly and spin fishing! Guests can find excellent public access points on the South Platte just minutes away, along with nearby lakes and streams that offer incredible angling opportunities for trout and other species. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll come back soon to enjoy all the beautiful outdoor recreation the area has to offer!

Everything about the cabin is superb. We lacked nothing for cooking and comfort. The area is wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet place to rest and watch the humming birds and chipmunks this is perfect!
