3 Year old log cabin in beautiful Wears Valley. Incredible mountain views with a Spring fed creek that runs next to the cabin. Located on 15 acres of the original family who settled Wears Valley and after over 200 years we are only the second family to own this land. Plenty of room to roam, sit creek-side and take a photos on the 100 year old Antique Sleigh used at Americas First Ski Resort, Sun Valley Utah. When you get home from a long day of hiking, touring or visiting the city relax in the new Hot Tub on our covered deck overlooking the creek and mountains.

You will fall in love with this private former mini family farm as you drive down the 1000 foot wooded drive that follows the creek right up to the Cabin. The new cabin not only gives you the privacy you want instead of staying in a tourist cookie cutter development where you pay twice as much to stay within a few feet of the next cabin with nothing but concrete pavement. The privacy and views are worth the stay but you are also just a few miles from one of the main lesser known entrances to the Smokies National Park and the most beautiful Valley and location in the Gatlinburg area. Close to Cades cove, Pigeon forge and only a short drive to Gatlinburg and all the attractions without the traffic and crowded mtns filled with cabins. No steep mtn drives , yet incredible mountain views of the Smokies on all sides of the valley. This cabin built like our last cabin built on Ski Mtn after the wildfires offers all the latest amenities and is sure to exceed your expectations for some of the lowest rates in the Gatlinburg area. We also offer a second Ranch House Cabin on the same property for those who have friends or families who want to visit but want their own place. It is also the same size, 3/2 Cabin but all on one floor and only a few stairs to get inside. Same great property, hot tub and views of the mountains. Go to vrbo and put in Property # 2628467 .

The cabin was beautiful! It had everything we needed. Loved the Christmas tree and everything. We even had a little present opening the first night. We enjoyed the hot tub and the outside fire pit. It was not far at all from everything but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The hosts were great. Very responsive if we needed anything. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We will definitely be back !!

Our stay was amazing! Very easy to locate. Host was very responsive to questions. Everything was top notch and as described. Kids loved the yard, firepit and hot tub. Only minor issue was not having anywhere to take out trash without go to Pigeon Forge, though the only minor issue we had.Would definitely recommend and stay again

We had a wonderful time! There were 4 adults in our party. The location was perfect...it felt like you had your own space without other cabins right on top of you, but yet close to everything...15 minutes from Pigeon Forge. The cabin had everything, as advertised. It was clean, and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and easy to work with! Very easy instructions on getting into the cabin and easy instructions on what to do when leaving. We would definitely book again!

Highly Recommend!

Our family stayed in this cabin to kick off my husband's sabbatical. We had a 16 yr old, 2 13 yr olds, and a 12 yr old. The cabin fit us all perfectly and was equipped with everything we needed to stay and to cook at the cabin. The host, Guy, was around doing work outside and was quick to help us with anything we needed. We thought it was fun that it was decorated for Christmas, and went along with the "Christmas in July" theme for the kids, with a little gift under the tree our first morning there. Surprisingly, even in the summer heat, we got a lot of use out of the porch and the hot tub. The shade there made a big difference. There is so much to do in the area, but far enough away from the busyness of all the people. We would highly recommend this cabin! We also enjoyed Cades Cove, The Island, Big Rock Dude Ranch (do not recommend paying for the fishing, but everything else was great), Clingman's Dome, Hatfield & McCoy, and just exploring the National Parks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for the week. The kitchen was well equipped and very organized. The whole cabin felt very clean and I really appreciated how most things were labeled (like fans, lights, cabinets). The hot tub was very relaxing and we really enjoyed how secluded and peaceful it was. We even got to see a flock of turkeys in the yard on our last night. The owners were very quick to respond to a small repair we needed done and were so easy to work with. We took advantage of the decor and celebrated a little Christmas in July on our vacation with Christmas cookies, movies and some gag gifts. We will certainly try to book one of these Christmas Cabins on our next trip to the area.

Married 46 years and came to Gatlinburg on our Honeymoon. We have visited most every year since. We love the area and 17 years ago bought our first small cabin on Ski Mountain. During the wild fires of 2016 it burned along with 2000 other cabins and buildings in Gatlinburg. In 2017 we rebuilt a beautiful cabin that the new one you now see is an exact replica but 20-25% larger with some great additions. After trying to get our neighbors to sell one of their properties to no avail so we could build another one on Ski Mtn for more family to visit during the same time we decided to sell and buy in Wears Valley which we think is the most beautiful area of the entire Smokies. After trees continuing to fall on ski mtn from the fires of 2016, power lines, steep drives we wanted a safer , less crowded and better views of the mountains. Wears Valley gave us that opportunity and instead of two half acre lots we got 5 lots totaling 15 acres with a stream running through them and beautiful mountain views. But this time with a flat drive way and roads getting there. We fell in love with Wears Valley a beautiful and still unspoiled part of the Smokies and Gatlinburg area.
The bonus was we bought from the original family that settled Wears Valley the Crowson family which the valley was named after until about 100 years ago when it was named after a confederate war officer. The Crowson family has owned this land since 1802 and been living here since 1795 when the original family member aaron came to settle and make a home for his young family. The US Govt gave him the first land grant in the valley which was 2000 acres. The family has lived here since then and we bought from the 7th generation Crowson last year. The history is rich here. We now own the largest original piece bought directly from the first family. Their family cemetary is about 1/4 mile away with every generation Crowson buried there beginning with AARON. You can find it by googling it. You are allowed to visit.

The Why goes on and on. We have already given a big piece of it. History of over 200 years from the original family. Views of the mountains. The beauty of the Valley is breathe taking in every season . Peaceful and much less crowded than the touristy spots yet just minutes out of Pigeon Forge and the many famous attractions and about 12 miles from Gatlinburg.

Stay in the middle of the History of Wears Valley on the original settlers land.
