Pulling up to the lush tropical landscaped property, you will be greeted by its palm trees and beautiful plants.

The outdoor section features an oversized, heated pool and spa. The home also features a top of the line Weber gas grill.

The house is located on the north end of Siesta Key, a 5 minute drive to Siesta Village and 7 minute drive to Siesta Beach. The home has easy access on and off the island. The home also features automated trash bin service (no rolling of bins to the curb).

What a beautiful home. Check in was staightforward which we were grateful for after a 9 hour flight into Tampa. The house was exactly as we'd hoped from viewing the listing; spotlesslt clean, well equipped with appliances and kitchenware, and we found the beds to be very comfortable. The balconyand pool areas had great seating and lounger options, perfecting for relaxing.The location was great too, the road was quiet and a good base for exploring Siesta Key as well asLongboat Key, Brandenton and Anna Maria. I had a couple of questions for Paul before we arrived which he answered very promptly. The welcome gift was very thoughful and well received, thank you Paul.

Perfect for families

This vacation rental exceeded our expectations and was equipped with everything our family needed. The home was very clean, tastefully decorated and very spacious with plenty of hang out areas for our family but our favorite part was the pool! The home is just outside the hustle and bustle of town but still close to everything including shell beach which is a very short walk and a great place to catch the sunset. Terrific vacation rental!

Shell Beach Closure -

Overall, it's a beautiful property. However, we booked the location with the understanding that it was walkable to a small local beach. That beach - while still somewhat accessible - has been closed since the hurricane 7 months ago with no expected date of re-opening. When I spoke to the owner, he did offer a very small credit as a gesture of goodwill but as of our checkout, has yet to update the listing to include the closure. When I attempted to use VRBO as an intermediary for communication, they informed me that the owner told them that I asked for a discount in exchange for a positive review - and that simply never happened. Siesta Key is still drivable, but parking lots are filled by 10am. Unfortunately, we paid a premium for walkability and this property did not deliver.

Great Family House!

Everything was as described! We have 3 kids aged 13,11 & 7 and they had plenty of space and loved the pool. Kitchen was great...we cooked/grilled many times. High quality appliances. Neighborhood is still cleaning up from the hurricane, but this property was in great condition. Thank you for a great vacation!

Perfect getaway

Our host, Paul, was incredibly nice and extremely responsive throughout the booking process and our stay. The home was very clean and had everything we needed stocked. There is lots of room in the home to spread out. The home itself is located incredibly close to every major activity in Sarasota. Everyone in our party was very pleased with our stay, and we are looking forward to potentially stay again in the future!

Relax at the beach

We booked a week here, we had the most amazing time, Paul is an incredible host, the house is ideally situated, near beach bars and restaurants. The house is so beautiful the pool is incredible, we thought the photos wouldn't do the pool justice, thinking it would be small but pictures made it looked big, but no it really was big. The house is well equipped and there are lots of extras to make your stay easier. Any questions we emailed the owner, he was very prompt with getting back. We definitely recommend this lovely house.

Family, fun and sun!

Our family had a great Spring Break! Our first trip to Siesta Key. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Paul, the owner was wonderful and very responsive. We loved the location. Easy and within 10 minutes to Siesta Beach. The perfect sunset beach spot just a 5 minute walk across the street. Quiet, private and safe location. The pool was a hit for our family, and we had more than enough room in the house. We cooked every night in the awesome kitchen! Highly recommend Southern Steer Butcher on Bee Ridge Rd. Great, family-owned establishment with a little of everything. A quick 15 minute drive. Thank you!

Beautiful Siesta Key home

We loved our stay at this Siesta Key home. The pool is fantastic. The amenities of the home met our needs. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen is adequately stocked. The location is great and it’s very easy to get to Lido Beach, Siesta Key, Venice beaches, Walt’s Fish Mkt and grocery stores. Paul is great to deal with and very attentive to ensuring a pleasurable stay.

Yearly vacation

The week of vacation was fantastic. The house was very clean, more than enough room throughout the whole house. The pool area outside was great. Overall we had a great time staying here.

Comfortable home with great pool

We really enjoyed our stay. Paul is a great host and very responsive. The house is comfortable for a family and the kitchen was well equipped with all new appliances. There was even a desk area for remote work. But the pool area made our vacation. It's a beautiful heated pool with a spa. The lush landscaping gives you a sense of seclusion. The house is situated at the north end of Siesta Key which made it easy to get off the island to get groceries or go to dinner without having to deal with beach traffic.

A very relaxing stay.

Our January 2023 stay at Paul’s house was fantastic. The pool and spa were used everyday. The house and the property are beautiful. The gas grill and charcoal grill were in excellent condition. The location of the home makes going to Siesta Key or Lido Beach so easy. We would definitely stay at this house again. Any issues that arose during our stay Paul addressed very quickly. He’s a great host.

Awesome Place and Owner

From day one it was great working with Paul, quite honestly he was the easiest owner I have rented from in all my years renting. The house was perfect and as advertised....would highly recommend.

We recently spent a super week in the house in Siesta Key. Its such a lovely spacious house, with plenty of room for everyone and the children adored the pool. The area is quiet and safe and 5 mins drive from Siesta Key village and the most beautiful beach. Paul, the owner, is very responsive and made sure our stay went without a hitch. Also, the welcome bag on arrival was much appreciated! We were sad to leave.

A nice home in a great location

We stayed here for 10 nights and had a very nice time. The home was clean, the pool is heated, and the neighborhood is quiet. The house is a short drive to everything and is nicely furnished, with plenty of towels and dishes. The owner Paul was very quick to respond with any questions and was quite friendly to work with. If we decide to stay on the north side of the key again we would definitely consider this home an option.

Beautiful Home

The house was sold the week before we arrived so there were a few transition headaches for us. The new owner Paul was very understanding and responsive. There is a lot to really like about this house - it’s very nicely decorated, huge well-appointed kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, and there was lots of space for family members who needed to work remotely. Unfortunately, the pool heat wasn’t turned on until Wednesday so the pool water wasn’t warm enough to swim in until Thursday of our one-week stay. The hot tub is the same temperature as the pool. The “hot tub fee” was reimbursed. There were only four of us but this house would also be great for a larger group.

Quiet neighborhood nestled between Siesta Keys and Sarasota

We had a terrific time. There were some small broken items with the house and overall in good shape. It was nicely decorated and well stocked with pool toys and rafts. As well as bikes and any dish or appliance you could need. We liked that we could get to Sarasota and the village within 10 minutes so allowed us to visit all the area! We did not think the very small beach 5 minutes walk from house really classifies as a beach and we would have liked to be closer to the beach.

Amazing stay!

My family and I loved our trip to Siesta Key, which included my parents, my two children, and me and my wife. We loved the house and the location is perfect. It's about an 8 minute drive to the public beach and about 5 minutes to Siesta Key Village. The house is located on the north end of Siesta Key, so it is also convenient to get off the island to go to Sarasota for dinner or groceries. There's an Aldi and Publix very close by in Sarasota. For dinner, we enjoyed KaCey's Seafood and More, Walt's Fish Market, and Connor's Steak & Seafood. We loved the pool and the house is very nicely decorated. There also appeared to be a good supply of beach supplies, although we brought our own. The neighborhood is also very quiet and safe. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful

We had an awesome time. This rental is just a short walk to a small beach with a shade tree. It’s also close to Siesta Key beach. But our favorite was the 20 min drive to Lido beach. There is an Aldi and a Publix a 5 min drive inland. Our daughter loved riding the bikes in the neighborhood. The pool is amazing, but be aware that the hot tub does not work. We didn’t have a problem with there being no umbrellas outside. The deck gives shade through most of the day and you can find shade toward the other side of the pool in the evenings. We cooked everyday and had everything we needed for that. The owner was very attentive and answered us quickly any time we had a question. We loved this place and would definitely stay again!

Highly Recommend

My family of five (husband and three kids, 7-7-4) stayed for a week. The house is lovely, well maintained, and the listing is accurate. The pool was fabulous! There is a well stocked kitchen for cooking too. The washer and dryer were essential and super handy. I ranked a 4 out of 5 flor cleanliness because we had pet hair on our pjs. This was our first week long rental and I didn’t realize “pets welcome,” so I take responsibility for that aspect. The pet hair isn’t really a big deal, but it really set my son’s allergies off. For that reason I’ll make sure to pay attention to that on future listings. The property manager was supposed to send directions and didn’t, which was okay because the GPS worked fine. It took several hours for a response when I messaged asking if beach chairs were available on the property. Again, not urgent, fortunately. We did end up finding them in the basement, but they were super rusted and not appealing whatsoever (as was the rest of the beach stuff that was in the basement). We absolutely loved the deck overlooking the pool and well manicured yard, but an umbrella would’ve been great either there or near the pool itself (strong sun until about 5pm) with barely any shade. I do recommend the property, but it’s important to share the details as I find it helpful when others do so as well.

We came to the Siesta Key area when our son enrolled in IMG Academy in nearby Bradenton to pursue his dream of playing professional baseball and we took the opportunity to get to know the surrounding area.

We fell in love with Siesta Key and have been spending more and more time here.

The people, the variety of dining experiences, the beach, the ocean... What more can I say?

We looked for several months before we were lucky enough to purchase this beautiful home. Its oversized pool, perfect location (it's at the north end of the key so you avoid most of the traffic), proximity to the village and beach (less than a mile), as well as the quiet, serene neighborhood. You really couldn't ask for more.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

First and foremost is the oversized pool. The Key and surrounding areas are amazing but sometimes you just want some privacy and serenity. That's what 229 Ogden gives you!

It's close enough to all the attractions but gives you the flexibility to duck out and enjoy the peace and quiet with your loved ones.
