Make yourself at home in this distinctive three-apartment property at the base of Thunder Mountain. Bordering a greenbelt and close to trails leading toward Mendenhall Glacier, the property is a convenient choice for families, friends, and larger groups traveling together.
One of the property's best features is its layout. Granite Getaway, Glacier Valley Rocks, and Thunder Mountain Place are three independent apartments connected by a three-bay garage, meaning the living spaces do not share walls.
Each apartment has its own kitchen, dining area, living room, bedrooms, bathroom facilities, laundry access, parking, and streaming-capable television.
Granite Getaway — Second Floor
This two-bedroom apartment features an upgraded granite kitchen, full bathroom, fireplace, dining room, living room, and two queen beds.
Thunder Mountain Place — Ground Floor

Glacier Valley Rocks — Ground Floor

The kitchens are stocked with the essentials for group meals, including ovens/cooktops, microwaves, cookware, dishes, utensils, and other supplies. Linens, bedding, towels, pillows, toiletries, coffee, and household supplies are also provided.
There is a shared laundry setup for the property, along with laundry facilities available within the units.
Self-check-in is available, so late arrivals are not a problem. Lockbox instructions are provided a few days before arrival.
Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for a fee with advance notice.
The property is approximately 2 miles from the airport, 3 miles from Mendenhall Glacier, 4 miles from the University of Alaska, 6 miles from the ferry terminal, 10.5 miles from downtown Juneau, and 21 miles from Eaglecrest Ski Area.
The bus stop is approximately a 10-minute walk away, and a nearby convenience store is close to the bus route. Two bicycles are also available to rent with advance arrangements.
For guests interested in exploring Southeast Alaska, Kelli can also provide information about a 10% guest discount on Alaska Travel Adventures tours. Available excursions include whale watching, kayaking, rafting, hiking, glacier tours, gold panning, boat tours, and more in Juneau and other Southeast Alaska communities.
Pets are welcome upon approval. A pet fee of $30 per pet, per night applies. Please note that Expedia's booking system (or other affiliated channels) may not collect the pet fee at checkout. If you are traveling with a pet and the fee is not included in your reservation total, we will collect it separately after booking. By booking with a pet, you acknowledge and agree to this additional fee. For extended stays, please inquire about monthly pet rates. Pet fees help offset the additional cleaning and maintenance required to keep our pet-friendly properties clean and comfortable for all guests.
We hope the property gives your group the space, flexibility, and convenient location you need to enjoy your Alaska trip.
