Bogue Sound Cottage with Boat Dock

Come view the beautiful sunrise and sunset at our cottage. Sit on your back deck facing the water and enjoy the view. Then jump in your boat and hit the sound for fishing and swimming before coming home and relaxing in your beautiful surroundings. This four bedroom, 2 bath house has plenty of room for everyone. The living area is open concept with full view of the sound. The back deck gives you plenty of room to relax and the front yard has plenty of room for the kids to run and play. So bring your boat, use the boat ramp right next door, and tie it up to the boat dock, so you will be ready to go first thing in the mornings. You will want to come back every year!

This home is pet friendly and will allow only two dogs. It is $35 per night per dog. Discount can be given for longer stays. Please contact host.

Great location

We loved the location on the sound, with a 5 min walk to the beach. It was very peaceful, and the home had everything we needed.

This house and location is nothing short of amazing. He enjoyed our views, the dock and the close proximity to the beach. It was lovely.

Unbelievably Beautiful

What an incredible property! The view of the Sound was incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed the water and the wildlife. And, with a short walk to the ocean and beach, we felt like we had the best of both worlds. The beach was amazing!

Perfect House on the Sound Side of Emerald Isle!

Stayed for a week. Nicely stocked kitchen. Good location, nice dock right on the sound with a private canal. Peaceful and quiet. Short walk to the beach! Bring the bug spray for outside! Hope to stay again in the future!

Amazing house on the sound

Wonderful stay, clean, kitchen well stocked. Views for sunrise and sunset were splendid. Dinners on the deck, gathering under the house in the evenings, kayaking from the house, dinner in the kitchen while we can still see the views was all great. We biked up and down the island and walked on the beach. It is a bit of a hike to get to the beach if you have children or older guests. One of my favorite beach ( sound) houses. I hope to be back.

Great view and location

Great set up/ layout of house. Very clean. View of sound just wonderful! Nice dock and relaxing areas! If you have a large boat (greater than 17ft) driveway entrance impossible to navigate. Mattresses could be more comfortable for sure. Other than the boat access issue and mattresses being uncomfortable, this house was absolutely great!

There is a public boat ramp right there to lauch whatever you have, we used SUPS and am inflatable Kayak to paddle around Bogue sound and over to Long Island located nearly in front of the house. The only downside was the AC unit location, hot air is always blowing up through the deck floor and you can hear it constanly running from the lower sitting area. Other than that its a great place to spend your vacation, convenient to anything you need.

A Great Last Minute Choice

My wife & I had to head down to the area and it was on short notice. We didn’t want to stay with the rest of the family in the large house & the place we normally stay was booked so we took a chance on this place. The home was older, which we knew & expected from the pictures, etc, but it was well taken care of. There were a few small minor hiccups, which is to be expected, but the management team was responsive, which is all you really need. The view outback was relaxing & the noise you hear is only really animals, lol. The only major downside is that I couldn’t catch any fish off of the pier. While the stay wasn’t perfect, we are comfortable with a 9 - 9.5 out of 10. The place is centrally located, plenty of parking, easy to find & great management,

Lovely House on the Sound

The house was splendid for our family. We had five adults, a 12 year old, and a 7 year old. We had plenty of room, the mutual space was great. Two full bathrooms, nice kitchen, comfy living room. I would have liked more towels, toilet paper, etc. We only got one towel per person, and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. For a 5 day stay it would have been helpful to have more. Lovely area, close walk to the beach access. Had an issue with our sink not draining, the property manager was on top of it and it was fixed first thing in the morning. She even left us a little treat to apologize for the inconvenience. Great communication and both she and the man who fixed the sink were polite. Would stay here again, preferably not during Hurricane Debby.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bogue Sound Cottage was welcoming and relaxing. This 4 bedroom, 4 bath cottage on stilts is pleasant and unpretentious. The property was clean and provided ample supplies throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the double oven! The property manager was quick to respond to my calls. The main gathering area could use a bit more seating. The beach was an easy walk across the street and the Sound offered pleasant views. The automated awning was very much appreciated on the back deck when the sun was high! Be sure to bring a kayak or small skiff for boating. Larger boats seemed to be a challenge from the ramp next door.

Great Property

Our family really enjoyed our stay. Great space for the four of us. Comfortable beds. Exactly as described and as pictures show in listing. Our favorite parts were the views of the sound and the dock. Would love to stay at this property again.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time at this property. House was perfect for our family and the dock was wonderful for our boat. The fence was tricky to navigate as others mentioned but it’s possible. We do wish the TV was working with cable and there were cleaner linens/towels. The property would also benefit from some newer mattresses and some bug treatment. The team was great to work with and I would definitely stay again. Thank you

Pleasant, relaxing stay.

Family enjoyed our stay at this well kept property. Beautiful view of the sound and easy walk to the beach. Appreciated all the small touches… soap dispenser, toiletries, etc.

Great for family

Awesome location, perfect view of Bogue Sound, you can't have a better place to have your morning coffee! There is a public boat ramp beside the house, perfect for launching SUP's and kayaks. Beach access is just a 5 min walk, short drive to anything you need.
