A lovely place with everything we needed. The beds were luxurious and so comfortable!The separate cottage is a great feature for grandparents or a sitter. Highly recommend!

Fish N Chips was absolutely perfect for our long weekend. Incredibly clean, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, well-organized, great layout, great location. It was our first time on BHI and Chrissie was so communicative and helpful as we prepped and arrived on island. We’ll be back!

The house was perfect for 6 people. The family room and kitchen area were great for entertaining. The location by East beach is perfect for going back and forth to the beach. I wish there was a second golf cart. For a house this size, every other rentals would have 2 carts. It made it tough for planning.

Thank you for your kind words. We enjoyed hosting your group, and are so glad you enjoyed your stay. I agree that 2 golf carts would be ideal, but unfortunately the garage space is only enough for a single cart. Most often, we have a family or a 2-3 couples staying at the cottage, so the 6-seater cart plus the bicycles seems to be plenty. A few times per year, though, we do have guests decide to rent a 4 seater cart for their visit which is a great option to provide some more flexibility.

Great stay!

Immaculately decorated property in wonderful location near conservatory and east beach. Our first time on Bald Head and host was available and answered all our questions.

Our family of four had an absolutely perfect stay at Fish N Chips cottage over the Thanksgiving holiday. Everything about the home was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was wonderful, and the cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing family trip.The host was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had, which made the entire experience even better. We truly couldn’t have asked for a smoother or more enjoyable stay.We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend Fish N Chips to anyone visiting Bald Head Island!

Great for a family vacation!

The home is charming, clean and updated - a nice spacious kitchen with all the necessities and is comfortable for sleeping - owner is wonderful with communication and helpful with any needs that you may require.

Great place

This was our 2nd trip to Bald Head. The island is beautiful, it has enough outside of the ocean to keep the kids entertained, and the beaches are beautiful. We really liked staying near East Beach where the kids surfed daily. The house was perfectly kept and came exactly as advertised. I recommend it highly.

Wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Fish ‘n chips! Our family had a lovely time exploring BHI from the great location near the Shoals Club, South Beach, and the BHI Conservancy. The home was bright, clean, and had everything we needed - and then some. Thank you for a perfect week!

Phenomenal Stay!

We were thrilled with the time spent at Fish and Chips. The house was perfect for our crew of 8. The location was PERFECT for those wanting to spend their time at East Beach. Communication with the owner was stellar from the start! Thanks for a great vacation stay!

Beautiful home right near East Beach. Quiet, clean and comfortable, especially the beds. After years of summer trips, you come to learn there are 2 types of owners: the people who simply rent out their houses, and the true hosts who offer a little extra. These folks are the latter. May BHI Vacation Week.

Our family and friends truly had a wonderful week on BHI staying at Fish N' Chips. Chrissie and family have provided the perfect setting to enjoy BHI's beauty. We have been to BHI approximately 8 times and #4 Sumner's Crescent is one of our favorite locations. We look forward to our next trip!

Comfortable New and Walk to Beach

Would strongly recommend a stay here for anyone gathering at bald head island. Three big nice rooms. Even a small bunk room. Kitchen was well appointed, showers worked great, AC was strong!

Great property in a grieat location

We had a wonderful stay at Fish'n Chips. We love this location on the island. The house itself was excellent: very clean, comfortable bed and high quality sheets. Chrissie was very responsive. They had everything we needed--bikes, beach chairs, etc.

2 week getaway to Cape Fear Station

First time staying at cape fear station neighborhood on BHI. We loved it. Clean, cozy, well decorated. Great and well-maintained amenities. Bikes, paddleboard, surf board, plenty of beach chairs. Nice home away from home.

Perfect BHI home

We had a great stay at Fish N Chips. I especially loved all the linens and comfortable furniture. The house was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. Loved having the laundry room just off the entry. The cottage was perfect also. Chrissy was easy to work with. Loved the location too.

Amazing stay in great location

What a great little cottage for families! We loved our stay here and the owner is fantastic and super communicative. The golf cart is fast (not always common with rentals) and there was plenty of kitchen goods to cook most meals here. Very close to East Beach accesses and tucked away in nature. I would suggest bringing a fan for the crofter as the unit stays fairly warm. We had a great stay!

Thank you Alex! We enjoyed hosting your family as one of our first guests! We love the location, being so close to East Beach, Shoals Club, and Mike’s Bites/Turtle Conservancy. We had the A/C unit in the guest cottage looked at when we were down last week, and it was set on “air clean” mode rather than cool. We also had a smart thermostat installed so we can adjust/troubleshoot remotely if needed. We did bring a fan as well should anyone want that too. We’d love to have you all back for another visit!
