Things that go missing in this location are the fact that it’s BEHIND the house and access is only via a flight of outdoor stairs. The couch in the photos is also NOT in the unit and there are two non-functional home theater style recliners that don’t recline instead. Makes getting comfortable very challenging. It’s very tight, and feels like we overpaid for what it is. However, it’s a nice looking place and close to the university, and our pups were welcomed, which mattered most to us.

We were in town to celebrate my daughter's birthday and booked this place just a week out. We are pleased with the home. It was cleaned and organized. Plenty of towels and face cloths and the location to the beach was great (less than 15 minutes to Wrightsville Beach). The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to prep and cook quick meals /snacks as well as a coffee pot.We also traveled with our two small dogs and having a backyard to take them out was so convenient. The common area was large enough for two small dog crates.The rooms were a little small, not much space to move around (reason for 4 stars) but the beds were comfy. We would stay here again.

Place was clean and perfect for two friends overnight. Furniture was showing wear but beds were comfortable. Wish there had been extra blankets available but place was well equipped overall.

Sweet little cottage vibe - we will be back!

We loved our stay! Perfect for us and our pups when we are in town visiting our family. It felt private, with a large back yard, even with a shared property/driveway. Had everything we needed and will definitely be looking to return next time we are in town!

We had a great weekend visiting. This property made it so simple to get to the University. It is right between Wrightsville and Wilmington so we were able to visit both conveniently. Owner was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you!

Smelled like smoke. Dirty towels were still in the bathroom. Made me feel unsure how clean the bed was. The other bed had its sheets stripped and thrown in the washer. WiFi signal was low. Would not recommend.

When we got in, the place had a distinct smell of smoke that took opening the windows and doors to get it to disperse. Since it looked like it was cleaned that day, that would have been nice to know about the smell. The grill is shared by the front unit and located there as well, so it’s pretty inconvenient, and the outdoor area is just a barren small plot behind the house. The price was great for the unit, but the description was far from the best.

Perfect detached apartment for a weekend stay

This property was easy to find and close to all that downtown Wilmington has to offer. It's a great size for 2-4 people to stay for a weekend, and we loved that it was pet friendly. Everything was clean, updated and comfortable. We'd definitely stay here again in the future. Parking was great, the neighborhood was safe, and checkin and accessibility was easy. Highly recommend!

First time in Wilmington

This cozy apt over the back garage was the perfect landing spot for a quick "get to know you" visit to Wilmington. The location was in between the university and the beach, so that checked many boxes for us. The owner was very responsive and remedied a booking snafu that was totally my fault, but he was very understanding and credited us back one night. The reclining sofa for 2 was a hit with the kids. Very cool and high tech! The place was absolutely clean in every corner of the home. The beds were comfy. The bathroom great. The kitchen had what you need. Will stay here again!

Weekend trip

Location was really good being between downtown and the beach. Was a little confusing on which building as there is a front house and an over the garage apartment. We were in the back and the place was nice. There was no WiFi so the TV didn’t work. The treehouse needs a little love. It’s starting to show its use. The bathroom countertop was broken, there was laundry in the dryer and the dishes were all in the dishwasher. The owner I texted with was nice and did inform me that the router had been stolen the day before. Was nice to have a full size washer and dryer. They had a book with instructions and recommendations and asked we do a load of towels or sheets, but was not required. We did try to make sure most all towels were washed and the dishes we used washed. Overall, we would rent from them again but stay in the main house.

Someone else was in our rental

Owner allowed a double booking of his property. We found out when we walked in and noticed other people's stuff everywhere. I called the owner Brandon and he seemed irritated that I was even calling him. Unapologetic, basically said that I was on my own and nothing he could do. Also said it wasn't his responsibility to monitor all his bookings...like what dude? That's your only job is to make sure your rentals aren't double booked. I've had this booked since June. Brandon did refund the money right away at least. Whether this was an error on Vrbo's backend or Brandon's, I will probably stick to hotels in the future. I had family in town from Illinois and we drove all the way from Raleigh. Terrible experience.

we really enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was as stated in the write up, the unit was clean and ever so cozy! Easy access to the beach and downtown. The property owner responded promptly and was very accommodating. Perfect fit for us!
