EDGEWATER ESCAPE- close to Village and Ski Resorts

Escape to our custom family cabin on Big Bear Lake in highly desirable Gilner Point. Spacious open floorplan with large rooms, high ceilings, well lit and modern farmhouse furnishings. Surrounded by pines, across the street from the Lake, we are just a few minutes drive to the Village and short drive to Snow Summit/Bear Mountain resorts. Private front deck with BBQ and patio furniture, provides beautiful views of the forest across the lake. Our cabin is located on a cul-de-sac, steps away from Holloway's Marina where you can rent a pontoon or fishing boat, jetski or kayak (i.e. quite location, no through traffic and no Hwy 18 noise). It is a completely fenced property (gates are removed in the winter) where you can let medium size dogs roam. It's great room allows people in kitchen still be a part of the group and see the TV during food preparation (not isolated rooms). Our large dining room table can seat 10 and 3 more can sit at the kitchen island.

More about the cabin: Our kitchen is fully equipped (except for food) and has a large island for food preparation/serving. All TVs have ROKU where you can sign-in as a guest to your own streaming service. Wi-Fi is also available. The game room in the loft has a queen bed, arcade, foosball table, poker table, bumper pool, boards games, puzzles and a lake view! The front deck provides a perfect quite place for breakfast or BBQ dinner with a table and 6 chairs, an additional 4 Adirondack chairs and a charcoal BBQ (available durikng the summer). Full size washer/dryer are available for guest use. Basic toiletries, linens, towels, dishwasher soap, hand soap, trash bags are also provided.

Check in so easy and loved the outdoor grill and fully equipped kitchen, we cooked all our meals together here ;) Great game room we appreciated the looooong dining table where all10 could eat together. Roku TVs so we could enjoy our music. Bathrooms are modern and well appointed. Great location, too!

Family loved so much, we will continue renting this cabin once a yr,

Great location and lots of room!

We took 10 adults and 3 kids for a family vacation. The cabin was warm and inviting. The jacuzzi tub in the master was a big hit! We also cooked dinner and breakfast for everybody. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty ofCounter space.

Wonderful cabin!!!!

My family was thoroughly impressed with this beautiful cabin!! Meticulously decorated with a warm and cozy cabin feel. We had adults, teenagers and younger kids and everyone had the best time making memories here. The owner (David) was great to work with. We asked to check in early and he was very accommodating!! We will definitely stay here again!!

Great stay!

David was a great host. The home had lots of homey touches and was very clean. Large place with lots of privacy with the 3 levels. When you park, there is a few steps up to the basement level. Then flight of stairs up to the great room. Beautiful home! Would definitely stay again!

4th of July

This is a beautiful home and well cared for. The kids enjoyed the loft area with all the games and space to hang out and socialize. We loved the front deck, great for bat watching in the evening. The neighborhood is very quiet and walkable with our dogs. We will definitely consider staying here again. Host was fabulous and easy to contact and very accomodating. A pleasure to work with.

Beautiful & clean home

Our host David was very hospitable. He had great communication, was courteous and accommodating. The house was spacious and easily accommodated our large party of 12. It was very clean and cozy with cute decor. The game room kept the kids and adults busy all day and night with lots of board games, poker table, arcade machine and a foosball table. The kitchen had all the amenities, which made it easy to cook all our meals. Can’t wait to book again!

Winter vacation

We are coming from Houston Texas and our children where really excited spending time in big bear with the snow. This property was the best for all of us! Close to everything and very spacious! Beautiful views and the cleanest cabin I have be in! Also when we left we left a bag behind. The host was available all the time if we had any questions or needed anything and ended up shipping our bag back to us which was really nice of him! Thank you to the host for giving us the best memories and will be back again to visit!!’

Peaceful and gorgeous

This home is beautiful, and I mean "home." The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. The furniture is all new and decorated so nicely. There is plenty of space to relax, including a spacious patio balconey with a view of the lake, and an open space game room to play or just relax. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of cooking pans and small appliances. David was amazing, quick to respond and attentive. We will definitely book again. Perfect for multiple families with kids! Thanks also for allowing our dog toncone along, she was very confy in your home

Fine stay

Overall the place itself was great, however it was disappointing that despite listing “hot tub” on the amenities, there was not one. Also I was uncomfortable with the host staying next door, he kept trying to talk to us throughout the stay and even came to the house an hour before check out because he was watching the home and thought we had left. I would have appreciated boundaries.

We had a great stay at this Big Bear cabin! The place was very clean and well maintained. It had everything you need for a fun and comfortable trip — fully stocked and thoughtfully set up for a mountain getaway. The location was excellent, close to everything but still peaceful. The host was easy to reach, very pleasant, and made the whole experience smooth. Check-in was super simple and hassle-free. Would definitely stay here again!
