Great stay, clean property, clean pool! My only complaint is that they did not have extra linens or laundry detergent/softener. Otherwise, no issues at all.

The pictures of this house do it no justice. The house is much cuter in person. The mattresses could stand to be replaced, it overall we had a great stay.

The property listing was missing some stuff, the host doesn’t answer, in addition to find a cockroach the day of arrival and next day, they only provide the existing trash bags no extra.

We enjoyed the time we spent together here, our granddaughter had a great time in the pool and so did we. Lots of room for everyone and easy access to everything. Parking is not an issue just have to remember it is on the street and may not always be close.

This was a cute home! We did not have any issues parking two cars on the street in front. The pool and outdoor area was nice, and the kids loved the huge upstairs room. Unfortunately the washing machine was full of mold so we could not use it, and when it rained outside lots of water leaked in. This was at the end of our stay so it didn’t impact us being there and we did notify management.

The listing was 100% accurate. Our overall stay was fantastic. Two downfalls- 1) pool maintenance show up unannounced at 10:30 and was there for over 2 hours. Once he left we were told we could not get in the pool for Two hours. That was a total of 4 hours taken away from my family enjoying the pool and being outside. 2) the water in both showers neither were consistent it went from scalding hot to ice cold in seconds then back and forth without touching the shower temperature handle, the pressure was not all that great either.

Overall, the place was great. Location was perfect and the pool was amazing. Only thing is that there was no toiletries, so we had to buy toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, coffee items and the grill did not work, we even brought our own propane tank so that was a bummer.

Birthday vacay

The house was perfect! The cleanliness, enough space, HUGE fridge which is lerfect for a family stay for 9 people. Adults and kids loved the pool and we spent a lot of time in it. We also loved the location, so close to the strand and seawall. We thought we'd have trouble parking but we never ran into any issues. Loved this location!

Perfect spot for a Pleasure Pier Birthday Celebration!

This house is amazing - the location, the pool/backyard and the number of beds. My son and 2 friends celebrated his birthday with a day at Pleasure Pier with breaks to cool off in the pool. We will definitely rent this property again!

Beautiful house

We loved our stay. The only thing is there was no dish soap or hand soap. The dishes were dirty so we had to use shampoo to clean them. There was a lot of police activity behind the house. But, we really did enjoy our stay. It’s close to the beach and the pool was great. Our son enjoyed it.

The house was clean and appeared like the listings, the pool was a nice feature and we were within walking distance to the beach. A few things worth noting: there is zero privacy in the home, none of the bed or bathroom doors lock, rooms have open windows above the door. The kitchen door handle broke off during our stay and the property management company was not responsive at all. This meant we had to leave the door wide open if we were in the back or risk being locked out. The showers only went to scalding hot or ice cold, which was incredibly challenging washing kids. We requested help and were only told they’d put in a work order but nothing was ever fixed. Living room TV does not have streaming features which was a bummer. Overall it was an okay stay. We enjoyed our time in Galveston and appreciated how close the house was to everything.

Overall, this property was great and exactly as expected based on prior feedback! The Pros:Location: Great spot that is easily walkable to the beach—only about a 10-minute walk.Parking: in front of house with absolutely no issues. AC: Works perfectly and kept both the upstairs and downstairs nice and cool.Things to Know:Check-In: Property management is completely unresponsive to early requests. We only wanted to drop our bags off 30 minutes early(the cleaners were done ) so we could take the top off our Jeep, door code strictly activates at exactly 4:00 PM.Water Temperature: Prior reviews about the water fluctuation were accurate. It runs either very hot or cool, though thankfully the cold side isn't totally freezing.Beds & Linens: One of the beds is incredibly firm—like sleeping on plywood—and the blankets provided are very thin.Supplies: Expect exactly 1 towel and 1 washcloth per person, and no kitchen basics like salt or pepper. The host did mention ahead of time that supplies are not provided, so just be sure to pack your own! Backyard is nice - the pool was very warm. It’s maybe 4 feet deep. 1 lounge chair but plenty upright chairs .

Poorly run by property management

Our family stayed here in the past. Not sure what happened by trash was piled in the front when we got there, a large portion of the kitchen outlets did not work and the property manager was not responsive to us when we called, mildew and fish smell inside, everyone waking up covered in bug bites after sleeping, large water stain on living room ceiling, hopefully it is from the recent hurricane and can be fixed but would not recommend

Short Family Vacation

The description doesn’t exactly state its street parking but it’s definitely just street parking so it’s not guaranteed you’ll have a spot especially if your crew has more than 1 vehicle like ours. The location and cleanliness was great for what we needed. We loved the pool! It was a great place to hang during the downtime. The only real complaint I have is the trash can access. It was found the trash cans were located outside the back gate which was locked so you’d either have to squeeze through the locked gate to dump it or drive completely around the block to dump it. But then on the last day we smelt something very foul and discovered there were more trash bins under the front stairs that were completely full. I did ask about this situation and they responded within a reasonable amount of time. All in all, I’m very glad we stayed at this location and if we ever end up back in Galveston we would likely stay here again!

Beautiful historic home and in a great location.

I stayed at this house for a long weekend with family. The location is great and within walking distance to the seawall and a 5 minute drive to the Strand. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated and large. The upstairs was was a nice space with a queen bed and 2 twins and a bathroom. The kitchen was nice and large with an enormous refrigerator. It had everything we needed to prepare our meals and plenty of room to seat the 6 of us. The bathrooms were newly updated, and the showers were roomy. The best part was the beautiful private pool in the back yard. It was a perfect place to hang out and relax with the family. The only negative I have are the rental fees. If you are looking to rent this property, pay attention to the fees. They are just as much as the nightly rental price which almost doubled the price. The nightly rate is already a premium price and when you add the fees and taxes it was over $800 a night! The property is beautiful though and it was nice to stay in a historic home in Galveston so close to everything.

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday. The house was just as described and the hosts communicated all the information to us beforehand. We had plenty of towels, kitchen cookware and appliances at our disposal. The fridge is massive and fit all of our food and drinks for the weekend. We definitely enjoyed using the grill outside and relaxing by the pool!I will note that the pool temperature is a little on the warmer sider but that is to be expected in Texas. The house was perfect for my family and we loved our time spent together here!

Wonderful historic home with a beautiful pool in the backyard with tall privacy fence. We had a small issue at beginning of stay but the homeowners took care of it immediately and brought us a pie to thank us for being patient, which was very kind, even though they didn’t need to do that the kids appreciated it! Great location, the home is so close to pleasure pier, easy to walk back and forth or a quick 2 minute drive to the Seawall, the strand is maybe a 4 minute drive. We had teenagers and they loved the upstairs loft room, it was a big sleepover up there every night!Few things we noticed in other reviews that I thought I would address, the homeowners bought a brand new propane grill to replace the one that was wearing out/others had a hard time using. The home is historic with original interior doors, so they cannot be locked without a skeleton key (bathrooms, bedrooms) which I’m sure would constantly get lost in a rental so understandable they aren’t present to use. We did not have an issue with it at all, just knock before going in. Others complained about not enough toiletries, but management company provides what is listed in the rental agreement, a few things to get you started and then bring your own, which we did so we had no issues with that, just read the rules before you go so you know what to expect, as we did. Lovely home, very kind owners, would definitely book here, again.
