I am sorry you had such a disappointing stay. I understand the noise was an inconvenience and certainly not what you want to hear when you go on vacation to the mountains. Unfortunately, this was a town project and completely outside of our control. We truly did not receive any notice, and after speaking with other local businesses, we learned that others nearby were also affected without warning. As for your other concerns, it does sound like you were aware of some of these things prior to booking. You mentioned when speaking with us that you noticed in the listing photos and reviews that there was not a traditional door separating the bathroom in the primary bedroom, and as you noted in your review, previous guests have mentioned that the cottage can be dark. We do our best to accurately represent our properties through the listing photos, descriptions, and guest reviews so guests can determine if a home is a good fit for them. This is one of our most loved in town cottages, but we understand that not every property is going to be the right fit for every guest. We did want to help you when you called to let us know about the construction noise across the street, but unfortunately, it became difficult to find a reasonable solution once the conversation with our reservationist became confrontational. Again, we apologize the cottage was not a good fit for your stay and that the unexpected construction affected your time in Blowing Rock.
