The Harbor House - Waterfront Home with Private Pier & Amazing Views!

The Harbor House is your own private paradise! 4 BR, 2 bath, 1850 Square Feet on 2.5 acres of total relaxation! Every bedroom has a water view! Enjoy private pier, huge deck, and amazing water views! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, 6 kayaks and a canoe, bikes, fishing, corn hole, crabbing or just relax the day away. Close to beaches, Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Richmond. If you want to stay inside, curl up with a book or watch a favorite movie on our Smart TV or pop in a blue ray disc from our movie collection, all while still enjoying your water views.

The outside deck is HUGE with plenty of room for seating and enjoying the sun. When you are ready for adventure you are welcome to use the kayaks (there are 6 of them) and the canoe to enjoy the water. Our Harbor opens to the Chesapeake Bay to the east where you will enjoy beautiful sunrises as well as great sunsets to the west. There are also bikes, corn-hole Boards, a smash-ball set, and fishing and crabbing gear in the shed that you are welcome to use. Feel free to ride the bikes or take a relaxing walk on the 1 mile gravel road leading to the house.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking and entertaining. If you want to stay inside, curl up with a nice book or watch a favorite movie on our Smart TV, Directv, or pop in a blue ray disc from our movie collection, all while still enjoying your water views. We even have fiber optic WIFI for all of your devices.

You will not be disappointed when you stay at the Harbor House!

This place was amazing for our family. My boys absolutely love the water and fishing. They were on the dock the majority of the time. They enjoyed learning how to do crabbing and going out in the kayaks. If we venture back to Virginia, we will stay again!

Perfect place to relax and enjoy

House was the perfect choice for our family vacation!! The house itself is beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. Just as nice as the pictures, if not better. We enjoyed hours of fun during the day on the dock fishing and crabbing. At night the fire pit was the perfect place to be. Would definitely recommend

A peaceful getaway

Enjoyed waking up to the sunrises, reading on the deck, fishing and crabbing off the dock, strolling down the road and visiting Mathews. A perfect getaway to slow down and recharge.

Labor Day stay

Wonderful amenities. Caught eel, sting ray, squid, crabs, shrimp and a variety of fish from the dock where we spent the vast majority of our time.

Great Rental Home. Beautiful views of the water from the deck or dock to fish or go crabbing. Host gave us great information before our stay and had everything available for us to enjoy. Great Wifi too! Had a great time!

Great Annual Guys Trip

Wonderful Waterside Retreat

The view is absolutely beautiful. The home is very nicely decorated and included everything we needed plus more! We enjoyed our stay immensely! We were surrounded by wild life yet it was a short 10 minute drive to town. 5 stars! I highly recommend a stay at Harbor House.

Peaceful Waterfront Location

The home was just as pictured. It was spacious and clean. The location is remote and private but not too far from shopping. The water view is exceptional and you will certainly spend most of your time enjoying the view and waterfront location with abundant fish and crabs. We will definitely book again.

Great anniversary getaway

Had a great time house had everything we needed. Very nice well kept home Kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. Outside was well kept nice dock for crabbing and fishing with lights. We had a wonderful time. nice and quiet away from everyone but was close enough to grocery store and other places

The location and fishing were great. Very nice house.very quiet. The house has smelly water that was not pleasant. The furniture in the living room needs to be replaced. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Home and Host

This house was an absolute dream, it did rain all weekend but the house was so beautiful and had games to keep our family entertained. The crabbing experience was also amazing. I would come back here again with my family. The home was extremely clean and the host was quick to respond

My wife and I are enjoying this season of our life as grandparents and getting to watch the families of our children grow. We currently live in Richmond, VA and have been married for 32 years. We have two daughters, two son in laws, and two grandchildren. We are blessed and thankful.

Our family fell in love with Mathews County and this home in particular as soon as we found it. We love our time together here at what we have affectionately named "Robin's Nest." We all learned how to kayak here, our grandkids loves to chase the crabs and catch fish, and we always enjoy watching the sunsets and sunrises that are different every day. The large deck, amazing water views, and the fire-pit keep us outside most of the time. If we aren't riding the bikes or fishing, we may be playing corn hole or napping. You can see the Chesapeake Bay from the private pier and kayak to the Bay easily. When we want a beach day, there are two beaches just minutes from the house. The peace and serenity we feel here has to be experienced to fully appreciate.

When we are ready to go somewhere, the town of Mathews is only 12 minutes away with restaurants, museums, antique stores, farmers markets, and various other places including a grocery store. Gwinn's Island is just a few minutes further away. Williamsburg is only 55 minutes away with so many attractions of it's own: Water Country USA, Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, and tons of outlet stores and restaurants. Yorktown and Jamestown are also easy day trips that are well worth the time.

We look forward to every opportunity we can to be here. We hope you enjoy our home.

We wanted to make sure you can enjoy your time here the way we do so we have kayaks, a canoe, fishing equipment, corn hole boards, games, books, and movies for you to enjoy. We also have fiber optic wifi so you can stream your favorite movies or even work remotely and stay connected (if you need to). The water views and relaxing atmosphere are what make this property unique and such a great place to vacation.
