Resort Style with Hula Show, Fireworks and even Tiki Torches!

The Ilikai is the first hotel-resort condominium developed in Hawaii and is one of the original landmarks of Waikiki. It is best known for being featured in the Hawaii 50 TV series and is loved by tourist and locals alike. Conveniently located in Waikiki next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it is steps away from the beach and a beautiful swimming lagoon. While not technically "on the beach" there are no streets to cross and it is literally just a 3 min walk after leaving the open air lobby to walk down a beautifully designed walkway which will lead you to the beach.

The lobby level amenities include a spa, hair salon, concierge, bell desk, restaurants, coffee shop, convenience store and resort retailers. There are also 2 pools including a swimming pool and a lounging pool. Valet parking is available 24/7. There are over 14,000 square feet of landscape yard and patios. 24 hour security.

The condo has been completely redecorated, freshly painted, mostly new furniture including a high end King size bed. Great view from the lanai (and from the bed!) of the lagoon and ocean. It has a fully equipped kitchen but if you prefer not to cook there are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from ranging from local fair to international favorites like Indian or Japanese.

It's the perfect place for a Waikiki stay.

Amazing! Me and my husband stayed here for 8 days, and everything was perfect. The location was superb, the apartment was really nice and clean, the view from the spacious balcony was really pretty. And parking was no problem, lots of options near by. Cathy had made everything very easy for us. All instructions were spot on. The beautiful walk to the city center took us about 20 minutes. If you are in doubt wether to book or not, don’t hesitate; hit «book» as fast as you can!

This property was exactly as advertised. The 2 pools are great. You won't find a better spot to see the Hilton Hawaiian Village Friday night fireworks!

In the middle of it all!

Perfect location in Honolulu, close to lots of shopping, dining, and Waikiki Beach. Clean, secure and comfortable. Would stay there again in a heartbeat 😊

Beautiful view

This is our second time staying there. The king size bed is very comfortable. The condo has everything you need to feel like you’re at home. Great Waikiki Spot

The property is situated in such a way as to be close to Waikiki but away from the noise. You have a great ocean view and front row seats for Friday Waikiki fireworks. I will definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our family

This was the perfect place to stay on our vacation. Conveniently located to so much, right by the lagoon and ocean. The view was beautiful and had the best seats for the firework show Friday night. Property itself was super clean and well taken care of. I will definitely stay here again in future visits!

Excellent Location

This condo linked to the Ilikai Hotel was a great position to explore Honolulu, shoos handy nearby, extremely clean and well presented, views to a fantastic Friday night fireworks display and our own Hawaiian dancing and singing display on an open rooftop adjacent. Perfect…recommend!

Paradise

The condo was perfect! The owner was extremely helpful and communication was immediate. We have stayed at several VRBO properties and this was by far the best. The Hula was authentic and the fireworks spectacular. Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo !

Fantastic view of Friday night fireworks

Very comfortable bed & pillows. Large lanai for morning coffee & evening cocktails. Beautiful view of the ocean & lagoon. Perfect lanai for watching the fireworks on Friday night.

Best view on Waikiki Beach for viewing Friday night fireworks!! Literally right outside our balcony!

Condo was prefect!! Very nice, clean, and nicely furnished! The location was prefect!! Waikiki beach, downtown, marina… everything was within walking distance!! Bed was very comfy!! Definitely stay here!!!

Fabulous View of Paradise

Amazing view from a beautifully decorated condo. All was as described. Great location and we hope to definitely stay again! Bonus - more bath and beach towels than we needed and the beach equipment so appreciated. As noted in prior reviews...be sure to watch the Friday night fireworks. We also had the benefit of two extra firework show during our week stay (one of these visible from condo) and views of the dancers performing on the Hilton garage.

Exceptionally the Best!!

Christy (the host) was the best to work through VRBO customer service issues. She's very patient and was always available. Truly a remarkable host. The pictures of the condo property are right on, and the view from the lanai is spectacular. The condo was very clean and stocked with most of what you would find at your home. The partition to block off bed area from the living space is a bonus and was much appreciated for those going to bed early. Bed was comfortable. It was a bonus to have beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, umbrella, and if you have children, there are some pool/beach items for them as well. From our lanai, there was no noise from the pool area, nor anywhere in our area. We were able to view 2 Hula shows from our lanai that were taking place across the street at the Hilton. Plus, there's a Friday Hula Show within the courtyard of the Ilikai. Wakaki Beach is within walking distance, as is many restaurants, shops, or sunset boat cruises. We were up every day to see the sunrise from our lanai and then view the sunset which is just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Pesca restaurant elevator was great for a bird's eye view of the harbor and sunset. Food and service were excellent. The Ilikai and this condo added to the best part of our 8-day trip to Oahu. Looking forward to returning and would only stay at the condo. Thank you, Christy, for the effort that you put forth to make this condo a great place to stay for your guests.

Very clean and great view!

My family and I had an awesome time staying at this rental. Maintenance keeps the place meticulously clean and linens smell fresh. This is one of 2 rentals that we actually went barefooted in the suite. Furniture is pretty new and comfortable. No-contact check-in and out were very nice and efficient. The owner was so nice to let us check-in early to avoid car break-ins. Ilikai looks newer since we last stayed 5 years ago. Their concierge does offer luggage holds for $2 per luggage in case rental is not ready or you have checked out. Ilikai pool area also has clean, free shower stalls and clean towels to wash up before your late flight. We got to enjoy the lagoon and beach for a full day, and then shower. The pool area closes at 7pm so plan accordingly. Hilton next door has Friday fireworks shows over the lagoon, but we had to miss it. You can see the show from the lanai. Public parking isn't so bad. We could pay to park overnight after 10pm, and must move your car by 11am. We regret that we didn't stay here longer.

HEAVEN ON EARTH...

Christy’s property is amazing! This is our 6th trip to Oahu from Canada. We stayed for 11½ days...right until 9pm, when we had to head to the airport. It was great! This location by far has been the best we’ve been to! Christy was very easy to communicate with and checking in & out was the easiest ever! The condo unit is in the perfect spot in Waikiki...can see the Luau across the street on top of the Hilton and the fireworks display on Fridays, is incredible. Just below, the property has 2 beautiful pools we had access to with chairs, umbrellas, etc to enjoy the gorgeous weather. The condo is perfect for families as the large pull out sofa bed is super comfortable as is the king size bed! The balcony opens up to a spectacular view of the lagoon, the ocean and the harbor is just next door. Christie even bought a Keurig coffee maker with pods when we asked if her unit had one! So thoughtful & generous of her! The kitchen has absolutely everything you need to cook anything you want. Laundry facilities so pack light. We enjoyed Dave’s ice cream shop, the Italian coffee shop and there is a convenience store in the lobby. There is a car rental desk & an Oahu activities desk. You can pay $24 a day to park in the open air lot or do like us and pay $150 for a month. We can’t wait to go back! The saddest part was having to go home to the bitter cold. Thanks so much Christy, we had the best time ever and thanks for being such a great host! We hope to return paradise soon!

We only had one issue and that was air conditioning. It was hot in the hallways and the unit has a window air condition. We’re thinking maybe that’s a Hawaii thing.

Now I enjoy sharing that home with others from around the world thru VRBO when I am not enjoying the ocean view myself!

The Ilikai is an iconic building in Waikiki...ask any local and many who have visited there since it opened in 1964 and they will tell you it is a special place rooted in Hawaiian culture. It is unique for a condo building because it is part hotel, part time share as well as privately owned condos so guests enjoy an a resort like atmosphere with cafe's, restaurants, shops, convenience stores and a beautiful open air lobby. The beach is just a few steps away with a beautiful walkway from the "Pacific Terrace" to the swimming lagoon and then to the beach. The best part is the Friday night fireworks display which you can watch from the lanai...cocktails in hand, or course! Aloha!
