I have owned TWO Short Term Rental units in Santa Barbara (with over 400 stays between them). We sold them two years ago to move abroad... but we do understand the market.
A bit of background might be helpful...we contacted John needing an "emergency medical stay" with less than one week notice. He agreed to allow us to stay even before the remodel work on his unit was completed. For our part, we were so grateful, we agreed to allow workmen in to finish.
Santa Barbara is a VERY competitive market, and all owners in Santa Barbara work hard for rental business. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alta Mesa. John and Connie tag team to get it right! John was so understanding of our emergency "specific" needs.and bent over backwards to accommodate us, and his property manager, Connie was delightful to work with!
John and Connie were both wonderful to work with, and we were very comfortable with the whole arrangement. Our communication with them was STELLAR.
The condo has been lovingly updated with superb taste. AND...FYI, the location cannot be beat!
We enjoyed our evening view from the small but cozy back patio, overlooking Santa Barbara and the Golden Sunset Light on Figeuroa Mountain!!!! It was magical!!!!
John is very responsive, especially for a brand NEW owner. I can tell he wants to get it right!
We were the very first "vacationers" to stay in his new place. I just have to say....Well done!
If you are considerdering staying here. Its a great spot. I will say they need to add more information tot he web-site... its helpful to include information about the amenities, the appliances, the jacuzzi, pools, club house and the local hiking trail. It would be helpful for people to understand just how close (short walk up-hill) to a major shopping area with restaurants, and ll the services you could need). A short drive down the hill (7 minutes) you are in the center of Santa Barbara. another 5-7 in the other direction...you'r eat the BEACH!
There are not enough stars in the universe to award to John and Connie for theirs first (and certainly not last) rental!
