The property boasts beautiful 360-degree views of the mountains and of Norris Lake. We are a private 140-acre working farm surrounded by another 260 acres of forest with over 10+ miles of hiking trails for your enjoyment. The Lake is a short hike from your door and is great for fishing, boating, water skiing, wildlife, and picnicking. Perhaps you prefer Side x Side action, we are just a 15-minute drive to the trailhead - via side x side. The cabin is located on the second story of my horse barn and is accessible by a staircase. We have two loft apartments available for rent. This one is Mountainview and boasts
Views Of Our horse Pasture and of the mountains. It also has a full stove with oven if you prefer cook.

Peaceful place with great views

Our stay was relaxing and peaceful. Lots of activities nearby with comfortable accommodations and great views. Very welcoming.

It was our first experience with VRBO. Very easy process. The loft was great! Quiet, relaxing beautiful views, very clean and comfortable accommodations. The owner contacted us a couple times to make sure all was good. No complaints. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning views of Indian River branch of Norris Lake. The views from Apt #2 are of the coral and surrounding mountains. From outside though the view by large firepit of the lake below will just take your breath away. The apartment itself was nicely appointed in a western style and everything was very clean. Any needs we had they were quick and accommodating. Definitely would have my family stay here again. Quick access to the marina and the public docks as well. But with the views from atop Horse Havens Property you’re most likely not going to want to leave.

Experience

The property and apartment were beautiful. The area is very quiet and relaxing. Please note the following: there is little to no space for parking cars let alone trailers behind the barn apartments, building materials and a trailer block the way. ATV riding trails are at 20 minutes away, you will have to trailer and then park. I rented this apartment because the description states close to riding trails. There is no ice machine or ice trays in the fridge, you will need to bring ice. The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom are very low. You will need to wash your dishes, start the sheets in the washing machine and sweep the floor before leaving. You will need to bring your own trash bags and toilet paper. There is no dresser or shelves to place your clothes on. I don’t expect it to be like home but trash bags and toilet paper are necessities.

I feel the ad is misleading, the view is of a field and mountains; we never saw any farm animals, you have to get out of the car when you come and go to open the gate that uses a manual lock, it’s inconvenient especially when it’s pouring like it was much of our visit. I’ve never stayed in a place that doesn’t have ice for you or coffee; there is a coffee machine but no coffee at all and there is nothing real close by, I think for the price you could supply a few kpods and have ice made. There is an outside patio that is covered but no furniture at all, the chairs were around a fire pit in the yard but it was rainy, it would have been nice to have a place to sit outside that was protected.

Good afternoon Susan, well we certainly had a rainy Memorial Day Weekend and I am sorry to hear that your stay on Norris Lake and at our ranch did not bring more sunshine your way. As you may realize, most everyone on the lake was very much affected by the rain, Outdoor furniture with cushions are always available for our guests, however it was not placed out on the patio due to the extremely wet conditions all weekend. Also, we are a 144 ranch that supports people bringing their horses for weekend stays. We are a gated ranch and the gates are absolutely necessary to keep not only livestock in, but also keep our ranch as private for our guests as possible, Please note: with better weather you would have had an opportunity to see horses, deer, turkey and other wild life. We hope that you would consider another visit to Norris Lake Haven Farm.

Picturesque Retreat

Perfect escape with beautiful views. We rode nearby ATV trails by day and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner in the room. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom clean and plenty of hot water. Would definitely stay again.

I am a lover of the outdoors and especially love the energy of the woods and spending time with my horses. I have had a lifelong dream of owning a property for guests to enjoy for vacation getaways. It's always been a passion to build beautiful things and now to provide and create lasting memories for others. Ultimately the ranch will be a place to call home for my retirement years. I founded Norris Lake Haven Farm in 2018 and have been adding cabins, trails, and outdoor activities that will bring joy to many.

The ranch is settled on Norris Lake, a lake that has over 800 miles of shoreline and boasts the cleanest water in TN. We have 140 acres of hayfields and forest and are also surrounded by an additional 260 acres of TN forest providing a private and peaceful place. We have cut in some old logging trails and have over 12 miles available for hiking and horse riding. Yes, you can bring your horse (for an extra fee). There are many activities in the area for you to enjoy: water ski, fish, boat, hiking, waterfalls, side by side, and easy access to Royal Blue ATV Trailhead, Boating - bring your boat, public boat ramp and dock is 1 mi, Whitman Hollow Marina - rent boats 1 mi.

Local trips to: Triple Falls, Hatfield Knob Elk Preserve, Royal Blue ATV Trails, Primrose ATV Trails, South Fork National Park - for fantastic horse back riding and hiking.
