Stay on Lake Parker

We loved everything about staying here. The location was fantastic and the accommodations were great. The access to the boat house and kayaks were wonderful and we enjoyed them each evening. Thank you very much!

We had a wonderful stay. The place is warm and welcoming, with all the little details well thought out. It was obvious that the hosts take pride in hosting in the best way possible. They were available and attentive to any requests, offering help but never being intrusive.The location offers things to do as well as a perfect setting for sitting around and just enjoying the quiet on the water.

Absolution Lovely

Our hosts were very thoughtful, friendly and attentive. The accommodations were lovely. We had everything we needed. It was clean, well maintained and very inviting. We enjoyed a paddle across the lake in the provided kayaks. A wonderful stay for us.

Paradise by the lake

We loved our stay at Helen's. Nothing was missing. We especially enjoyed the calm of the place and the cabin near the lake where we had the pleasure of having all our meals. We definitely recommend it!

Lovely Lake Stay

A friend and I stayed and could not have been more pleased. Accessibility to lake, kayaks, canoe, fire pit, and the corner store made this property that much more special! I would absolutely stay with Helen, again, as she was very generous and helpful throughout our two night stay. This place checked boxes we didn’t even know we’d want to check !

Clean and tranquil

This property was perfect for our stay on Parker Pond. We were in town for a family reunion and it was conveniently located. The amenities were excellent, from the spacious apartment to the adorable boathouse on the water. Helen was an excellent host and even left us homemade cookies. We can't say enough good things about it. We'll be back!

The apartment was lovely, exactly as advertised and exactly what we needed. We had a lovely evening kayak around the lake, watching a pair of Ospreys hunting; a beautiful hike up Mt Pisgah and swim in Lake Willoughby; and plenty of chilling. I've never stayed in a VRBO with more thoughtful small touches. Thank you!

Lovely Stay on Parker Lake

Helen was a fabulous host! The boathouse was a perfect place from which to relax and watch the loons and swifts. The main house was very well organized and had everything we needed. Thank you for the fresh-baked cookies, the retirement gift for my wife, and for your gracious hosting!

Beautiful Lake Retreat

Helen’s property was spectacular! The boathouse offered amazing morning views of the lake while keeping the bugs out in the evening. Even during July 4th weekend, there was little motorboat traffic which allowed for fun canoeing across the lake. The apartment was well furnished with everything you need and Helen went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed including snacks provided at arrival.

Lakeside hideaway with charming boathouse

This is a very cozy apartment on Lake Parker. Very clean with an amazing boat house where we spend our evening laughing and drinking while we played cards. The canoe ride on the lake was full of laughs and we were grateful it was available for our personal use. We slept very comfortable and late. So cozy! Will be going again soon. Our host were very pleasant and eager to make sure we had anything we needed.

A wonderful time

Both our hosts and Glover itself were incredibly welcoming. Everything in the house is cozy and organized, and anytime we had any questions about how something worked there was always a label with clear instructions nearby. Helen and steve have arranged countless little details to make your stay as relaxing and comfy as can be, including fresh cookies! The lake is unforgettable and the boat house a great place to enjoy the view or read or have a snack. Cant recommend enough!

Magnificent Stay

We had the chance to stay there from July 18 to 22, 2022 and we had a great time. We would like to thank Helen and Steven for their warm welcome, their discretion, their concern for the comfort of their guests, the cottage, the little wooden cabin on the waterfront, the beautiful location, not to mention the smallest details, such as the backpacks, the picnic kit, the hiking poles that they provide for their guests, etc. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will certainly not hesitate to return, especially since it is 15-20 min from the beautiful Lake Willoughby or Mount Pisgah where we did a nice hike. The Nicest Hosts EVER!

First of all, the property is very much as advertised, though the photos can't do justice to how delightful all the furnishings are, or how lovely the fresh cut flowers smelled! But most importantly, both Helen and Steve are the kindest people. Helen had baked chocolate chip cookies for us before our arrival! She later brought us a bouquet of peonies, and Steve shared fresh picked strawberries. Not only that, they give guests free rein over the absolutely wonderful boathouse and waterfront. On a scale of 1 to 10, they get a 12!

The Perfect Getaway and Hosts

Staying on-site at Helen and Steve’s property for six days/five nights this July, just across the street from Lake Parker, was a positively delightful and treasured experience. Helen and Steve were very welcoming and thoughtful hosts, having anticipated and attended to all needs even before I’d arrived. Like the hosts, the well-furnished and comfortable accommodation was welcoming, including all necessities. The location was close to where I traveled daily, Lake Willoughby. In addition to offering a close-up lake view, the boat house was the perfect space for me to enjoy nature in solitude. Helen and Steve truly are hosts par excellence for their charming lodging with a peaceful and picturesque property. Thank you both for your kindness and generosity as hosts. I look forward to visiting again.

Anniversary Getaway

The property was perfect for us. We had a lake view, it was quiet and beautifully maintained. There were flowers in the gardens, a lovely lawn and a little house on the lake across the street. The lake house was one room, screened in and comfortable with a couch, some comfy chairs also a table with chairs. There were games to play and gear for use on the lake. Our apartment had everything we could possibly want. Often there are not dishtowels or dish detergent at VRBO's. Here there was anything we could think of for our stay ... and more. The accomodations were beautifully detailed. Our hosts were kind and thoughtful and fun. They even shared two kayaks and their sailboat with us. We totally enjoyed ourselves. We could not have asked for more!! We are most grateful to Helen and Steve. They have an amazing set up for their guests. There were wonderful walks and trials to enjoy. The local restaurants were excellent with entertainment at one of them. We feel like we really lucked out. We were there in late June and the lake was not that busy which was a bonus for us. The best thing to me was the boat house which is literally on the lake. The house is just across the road. The lake is lovely for swimming and boating. the hosts were very responsive. Highly recommended!
