We are very fortunate to have five-star guests to stay with us who look after our home as they would their own.

Good to read that our guests enjoyed the peace and quiet of our location. The rooftop terrace is our favorite area also. Our great manager lives just a couple of minutes away and is always willing to help out with advice or to keep things in good condition. We look forward to spending the month of November at our home in Mexico. We love giving our guests a 5-star review and thanking them for treating our home like they would their own.

We love having 5-star guests like this who care for our home in Mexico as they would their own place. We like to hear how our they enjoyed the two great pools and the easy access to the several beaches nearby. Our free bikes were an added plus for the guests. We'd love to have them return!

April and family were five-star guests and left our home very tidy. We also enjoy the quiet security of our area but often go to the nearby villages for a "real" Mexican experience of shopping and eating. Just a five-minute drive away for genuine food at local prices Still-- we do like the nearby restaurants which are just a short walk away. The restaurants nearby are owned by Mexicans and serve great food.

Due to the building of the Maya Train, we did have some interruptions of the internet which made it more difficult than usual to contact our manager. This seems to have been corrected now, and our guests during the first week of January have confirmed that contact is now good and everything is "perfect". We are looking forward to three months in the condo until the end of March and will be completing some projects to make our home even more special.

We are so lucky to get lovely guests that enjoy our Mexican home as much as we do. We are pleased to see a new grocery store and restaurants now open just a short walk away.

We are glad that you enjoyed staying at our home in akumal. We are sorry that some of the information about the wellness center was not correct. The policy there has recently changed and there is a charge for yoga classes and massage. We recently bought this condo and have done extensive upgrades but did not realize instructions left by the previous owner were not up-to -date. We have corrected this. Any construction is far from us and we enjoy silent nights and bird songs in the morning with our breakfast on the upper terrace overlooking the trees. We would love to have this five-star guest return and appreciate the care that was given to our new home.

The Mexican pueblos of Akumal and Chemuyil are 7 and 5 mins away respectively. Both have several authentic local restaurants with very reasonable prices and delicious food. The street tacos and Marquisetas are our favourites. We have attended cultural events like the Day of the Dead parades in both towns. Otan restaurant ( a 5 min walk) is owned and operated by a Mexican family who live in Tao. The friendly community of Tao is comprised of residents and tourists. It is extremely multicultural with people from all over the world. Many locals who work nearby also live here. There are several beautiful beaches within a 7-minute drive. If you choose to go to the Kay beach, you can take a picnic and a beach umbrella. This beach is a public beach open to all locals. You do not need to go to the restaurant. You can walk, take the free shuttle, or drive across the bridge.
