Hyggelig Waterfront Chalet beliggende i Big Thicket lige udenfor Ace, TX, 56 miles nord for Houston Intercontinental Airport. Indkvartering: 1 hyggeligt, romantisk hems soveværelse med queen size seng, 1 soveværelse nedenunder med fuld størrelse seng, air-condition, brændeovn, HIGHSPEED DSL INTERNET, satellit-tv, stor gård, grill på side dæk. Lille fiskerbåd til rådighed, hvis lejeren gerne vil bruge den. Området er fantastisk til fugle og natur at se, cykle, løbe eller bare slentre i landet!

For dem, der har lejet i tidligere år, er problemet, vi havde med hydrilla, helt elimineret! Takket være vores store sø restaureringskomités indsats er vi blevet underrettet om, at de planlægger at bringe det rigtige planteliv tilbage i søen. Vi ville elske at få dig tilbage og nyde roen og det store fiskeri, som Taylor Lake endnu engang giver.

Vidunderlig, lille familie ferie udlejning, eller hyggeligt get-away. Denne rolige, charmerende hytte på en privat bugt vil vende dig tilbage igen og igen! Med sin vidunderlige 9-hullers golfbane har historiske Livingston mange restauranter, sjove antikvitetsbutikker og indkøbscenter kun 17 miles væk. Spis på den berømte Hilltop Restaurant og Herb Farm, kun 15 miles væk, hvor du vil glæde dig i deres vidunderlige gourmetkøkken (kun reservationer), afslappet se deres vidunderlige gavebutik.

Besøg Alabama Coushatta Indian Reservation i nærliggende Woodville, TX. Ejer har ikke personligt besøgt det, men har hørt den nye Cacino er meget sjov og dejlig

I looked at several options and feel so fortunate that I chose this special home. Patricia, our host, made the stay feel especially welcoming with the heaters on, fragrant candles burning and pup treats for the furbaby. She filled the bird feeders so the birds, brilliant cardinals, goldfinch, yellow rump warblers were abundant the entire stay. A few feet from the front door. Patrica is super easy to communicate with also. The location couldn’t have been more scenic and soul refreshing. The “Chalet” felt like a resort but so homey. Well stocked kitchen with modern appliances, wood ready for the fireplace. Waking up in the loft looking out the at the beautiful sunrise and feeling like I slept at the top of the oak tree. Large fenced yard for the dog. Catch (and release for me) big catfish! Great Egrets, Blue Heron, gator in the distance.I plan on returning for a sister trip.

We loved the location of the property. The view and privacy were very nice. The outdoor seating was cute and eclectic, and we enjoyed the patio lighting. The property was very clean and cared for. All appliances worked well, and the manager was extremely attentive to insuring we had everything we needed.

Pretty, cozy little cabin tucked in on the lake, perfect for a couples get-a-way. Loved sitting on the porch or floating dock and watching the sun come up with a slight fog on the water. Lots of birds and squirrels to keep a person entertained. Even had the pleasure of watching a young alligator trolling across the water. Would certainly recommend.

An absolute delight

Patricia has such a keen eye for detail and ensured our stay was absolutely seamless. An absolute angel! First and foremost, the property description was spot on and her lovely cabin was exactly what we expected. The check-in and check-out instructions were incredibly thorough and we had all the information we needed about wifi, troubleshooting the TV, etc. There was bug spray, fishing rods, plenty of fire wood, cooking equipment, basic seasonings and tons more. Our two pups LOVED running around the huge fenced yard and lounging by the lake. We truly could not have asked for a better place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Peaceful Getaway

This property is just as pictured. It is a cozy, lovely little place with views of the water as your constant companion. It is very quiet and truly “away from it all”. We loved having coffee on the front porch and watching the birds in the morning and having cocktails in the evening by the water with a fire in the chiminea.

Very Dog Friendly Stay! 2 hour drive from Houston Tx

Amazing stay at this adorable 2-bedroom, 1-bath lake house, and I can't say enough good things! It’s super dog-friendly, which was a huge win for us. Our dogs loved running around the fenced-in yard, sniffing everything in sight! The house smelled incredible and was stocked with all the kitchen gadgets we could ever need. Make sure to wake up early to catch the sunrise over the lake; it’s totally worth it. We enjoyed watching the sun come up from both the couch and outside—it was such a peaceful way to start the day. I highly recommend this place! The host was super accommodating and easy to chat with, which made our stay even better. Since we live so close to Houston, we’ll definitely be back whenever we need a little getaway!

Relaxing Getaway

The rental is in a quiet and peaceful location. Nature is all around you and there are so many sitting areas outside to take it in.. My husband fished and I watched the squirrels and the birds. The floating dock was perfect. The kitchen is equipped with everything. Patricia is an amazing host. She provided restaurants for us to visit. She knew the best place for my husband to get bait.. The house is cozy and has books, games, dvds, VCR tapes and all kinds of things to keep you busy. We will be back, it was a cozy retreat and a great escape from the city.

Great Secluded Lake Front

Beautiful lake front chalet. Great views of the lake. Very quiet and relaxing. We sat outside on the dock and enjoyed our music and food every night. Would definitely come back again.

Cozy getaway

This was the perfect cozy home for our Mother Daughter weekend getaway. We loved sitting outside and enjoying nature, especially the cardinals! This is our second stay here and I am sure there will be more. Patricia is so friendly and easy to contact. She is a great host! Overall just a peaceful trip!

Cozy Chateau getaway

It was a girls get away. We really enjoyed the very cute cabin, it's location on George Taylor Lake had several optional shaded seating areas to view the beautiful lake.

Super Cute, Relaxing Lake View Chalet

Wonderful stay and very relaxing! This host has thought of almost everything! Kitchen and bath were both well stocked with everything you will need and then some! Communication with Patricia was easy, a message was immediately sent after booking via VRBO with her cell number in case of any other questions. Our dog was also able to run around the fenced in yard without us having to worry about him getting out. There is also good fishing here, we caught lots of fish! So much fun! Thank you for sharing your lake house!

Our Happy Place

We’ve been coming to The Cozy Chalet for almost 3 years. The lake view is magnificent and unobstructed . We love the personal getaway and retreat feel we have when we are here. We love that we can bring our dogs and that they are as welcome as we are here. Patricia always makes sure we have everything we need. She decorates for every holiday, giving it an extra feeling of being at home. Thanks for sharing the Cozy Chalet with us time and again.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay here on the lake. Patricia was prompt to respond and answer questions related to the water levels nearing our stay. The house was just as advertised. The loft room could get warm (especially with 100° outside) during the day but temperature was very comfortable on the main level and everywhere in the evenings. Kitchen had lots of pots and pans to cook. Views of the water were lovely and the area was quiet and restful for our weekend getaway.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed staying at this chalet. It was really cute. The fenced yard was huge which was great for our 2 dogs. The fishing was great, although the large tree overhanging the water made it difficult to cast in certain areas. (You could see lots of bobbers tangled in the branches. lol) There were some hiccups regarding entry into the neighborhood, but Patricia was very helpful in getting it sorted out. She is very nice and communicative and wanted to make sure we had a great stay. Overall, we had a really great time!

Big disappointment

I've stayed in dozens of VRBO properties for many years and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Two main issues. The property clearly says that there was a fenced yard with I took to mean it had a secure area for our dog. What we found was a fence on two sides and open water on the other two sides. I saw this in the pictures on the website but assumed that there was another area on the property that was properly fenced. This was a huge problem whether we had a dog or a child. The second problem was checking in. The check in information was never emailed to me and it did not appear on the website so we arrived at the property after an 8 hours drive and the gate to the property was locked. I tried numerous times to contact the owner but the call clicked off. I finally got her to call back by texting her and she was completely rude, condescending, and defensive. We ended up staying one night and left. Patricia never apologized or offered any compensation.

Best Birthday Trip!

We stayed at this wonderful property for my 55th birthday and had a fabulous time! The property was so charming and peaceful. All amenities were as described and we had everything we needed. The property owner was very nice and very responsive to correspondence before and after the trip. The days were spent fishing and hanging out. The nights were beautiful and serene. The State Park is nearby and a must-visit. I will definitely be making an annual visit to this property!

Caught some nice catfish

Very peaceful area. So many beautiful birds. Fishing was good and a plus was the late evening gators crossing the point. House is a work of eclectic art - you could spend a couple of hours just looking through all of it. All in all a good time.

Perfect quiet getaway

My fiancee and I took our two dogs to stay at this lake house for a few days. The property is beautiful and quiet, there was ample space for the dogs to run and we enjoyed lounging around on the floating deck and by the fire in the outdoor chiminea. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to just get away and recharge, and if you wake up early enough to watch the sun rise over the water, you won't be disappointed.

My late husband and I fell in love with the area while visiting friends who owned weekend houses there and, in 1980, we had the shell of the house built. With the help of wonderful friends, we worked weekends building out the interior. The project took about a year to complete and I have so many great memories of those times. The chalet became our escape from the hectic weekly pace in Houston. We put heart and soul into building out the chalet! When my husband passed away in 1993, the only way I could rationalize keeping the property was to rent it out to vacationers. I've had the good fortune of meeting so many wonderful people who have rented from me since that time and look forward to being blessed with many more!

Taking in nature all around you is icing on the cake while cooking in the delightful little kitchen with its great view of the lake, or fishing, lounging around, reading, playing games, sitting in the swing, observing nature, taking a stroll, completely relaxing in the quiet beauty of the atmosphere of Taylor Lake! When I arrive, I never want to leave!
