Buzzards Bay vacation

My whole family had a great time coming back to a vacation spot we used to when we were younger. Thank you so much for allowing us into your home! It was beautiful.

Nice place

The screened in porch was an amazing place to have our morning coffee and end our day. Easy drives to many great beaches. Anne was very communicative and very helpful.

We loved our stay in Onset. We have such fond memories of Onset beach with family. The front porch was wonderful and we spent most of our time there eating, playing games, and visiting.Anne was a wonderful host and I appreciate her quick response to any of my questions.Thanks for a wonderful week in Onset.

So restful and charming!

Anne is such a lovely, responsive host and makes it very easy to know how her house works and what's available in the surrounding area. We loved the little beach right around the corner; perfect for little ones. The other beaches are also very close by and the house makes for a great hang out too. We want to come back!

Great stay at a comfortable home with personality

Spacious and clean older craftsman home with many things refurbished and updated. Plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out and having two toilets was lovely!! The main shower was wonderful, lots of hot water, and great pressure. Kitchen and washer/dryer are all updated with new appliances. convenient short walk to downtown Onset with cute restaurants and friendly people. We ubered to other towns on the Cape as well. The host was super helpful and responded quickly. Overall wonderful stay!!!

Perfect Spot!

This house has everything- charm, access to beaches, friendly neighbors and amenities. I stayed with my husband and three kids. The kids were drawn to the bedrooms. They were both spacious and quaint. The accessories of the house were amazing: fans, towels, outdoor shower, wagon, chairs, even condiments in the refrigerator. I could go on and on. I would rebook and look forward to it. Anne was a great host and I feel thankful she let us stay at this beautiful getaway.

Very charming and comfortable home!

The home was very charming and comfortable. The owner Anne was very responsive before our visit and during. She stocked the home with any supplies that you would need. The kitchen had coffee, spices, oils, some staples, a large variety of pans, dishes, utensils, coffee and tea pots, etc. Everything was labeled and easy to find. The refridgerator is latge. The rooms were very neat and clean. The beds were comfortable. We loved the screened in porch and spent most of our time there. There was a nice breeze, comfortable chairs, a futon and a roomy dining table. The neighborhood was very nice, across from the Marina and a very short walk to the beach. We walked to downtown several times for restaurants, little shops, the beach and the Cape Cod Canal boat tour. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

Super Cute & Great Space All To Yourselves

Our stay at Little Edie was good. It served as a home base for our week long day trips to the Cape Cod / Boston / Buzzard's Bay coastline vacation. Our host communicated well and check in and out were smooth. She also provided a lot of great places to eat and things to do as well. Only issues we had but that we knew we were signing up for was that we went in mid-July and there's no Air Conditioning and that was an issue despite the coastal breezes that came through. In addition, the checkout requested guests sweep the floors and we believe this wasn't the case to whoever stayed before us as they were pretty dirty. That's difficult considering we paid for a cleaning fee on top of our nightly rate and taxes. But as I mentioned, the house is super cute and leaves a great impression once you go in as a craftsman house.

A lovely house with old cottage charm

The owner was very helpful and responded nicely to all my questions - even ones that I already had information (trash collection) about. Appreciated. Loved the bedrooms and a very comfortable living room. Note that the stairs to the second floor are quite steep and the toilets can be a bit tight for a large person. None of us are large though and we definately appreciated that there was a toilet on each floor. Also grateful for the washer & dryer. The front closed-in patio was great and we ate breakfast there every morning. Screens on the windows for good cross ventilation. Walking distance to mostly everything in town if you like walking. Onset is a very quaint town and the house is in a nice, quiet residential area. Some days were hot but there were definately enough fans to keep us comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Breezy coastal relaxation!

Little Edie was the most perfect and relaxing base to access points north to Boston, South Shore Massachusetts, the islands, the Cape, and southern New England. It's warm and unique wood interior makes for a charming and cozy stay. My husband and I were joined by two other couples (all family) who stayed with us and we were quite comfortable at Little Edie's -- which was the perfect location to be and off the beaten track of the heavily touristed and busy Cape Cod region. We spent our time exploring Onset Village and the local beaches that were all minutes away walking (Nanumett and Point Independence) or by car. The provided beach towels, chairs (2), and wagon made transporting everything great. We cooked in some nights using the outdoor grill and visited local places like Ella's and Scarlet Rose Bistro for nice dinners out. The breeze was amazing and was what made our stay at Little Edie super relaxing. We basically lived on the front porch. Even in July, with ample fans and the windows open, not having air conditioning was not an issue. While the bathrooms are on the small side, the outdoor shower was an added bonus. The working marina across the street just adds to the character of the neighborhood and feel of being right on the water. The neighborhood is super walkable and we enjoyed morning and evening walks to the neighborhood beach (Nanumett) for sunset. We highly recommend Little Edie for a unique and relaxing Cape experience!

Lovely home NO A/C

The house was nice and suited our groups’ needs well. There were lots of amenities, including a washer/dryer. It is important to note that there is no AC in this house. This is mentioned in the listing but then justified by saying that there are cool ocean breezes. When we visited, the house was reading 89 degrees, hot, stuffy, and humid in the house. No breezes, no air flow, and unbearable to sleep in. We understand that weather is not predictable and cannot be controlled. However, this is 2024 and climate change is real. Extreme weather is occurring everywhere. This house did not cool down with windows open, We discussed this with the owner and tried to get her understanding and some support. We even thought about moving to a nearby motel but instead decided to buy 3 AC units for the bedrooms to make it through the week but took them with us when we left since they were so expensive. The house is really nice in a great location but we would not consider renting here again in warmer months.

I am glad that you found the house well suited for your stay. I am sorry that the unusually warm, humid and still weather affected your stay, Liz. I was responsive to your requests including trying to line up someone quickly to help you pick up the AC units which you had already ordered before calling me. You ultimately did not need the help, and I appreciate you taking them with you since I did not authorize the purchase. Although warm at times, there have been many guests that found the fans (lots of them) adequate for their stay. I will make sure to update the description to remind people that despite the breezes (which the neighborhood is known for), there are some days that may not line up with that description due to the ever changing weather patterns.

We had a great stay at Little Edie!

Little Edie is the name given to this quaint seaside cottage. Located in a beach community just a short walk from the village of Onset and the beaches. The cottage is very well appointed and was super clean upon arrival. The cottage appears to be newly renovated and is tastefully decorated. We really felt as if we were staying at the beach for the weekend. The neighborhood is quiet and inviting. The village has a number of decent bars/restaurants to visit. Onset is easy to get to and minutes from the Bourne Bridge to get onto Cape Cod. Thanks for having us!

house great, bathrooms small, location you decide

1. House is beautiful - wood floors, wood throughout, spacious front porch, kitchen nicely appointed 2. No a/c, but because weather was wonderful we opened the windows (with screens), and let the cool air flow through the house. Slept great! 3. Bathrooms are small. A large person would have difficulty utilizing the toilet. Shower nozzle is about 5.5 feet high. 4. Stairs to the upstairs are narrow and steep. We didn't have any trouble negotiating them, but its something to consider. 5. The house is a block from a street that dead-ends into the bay. But, because its adjacent to a marina, its not picturesque (i.e., boats everywhere). 6. The house is in a neighborhood that includes the marina. A large marina storage lot can be seen from the house. BUT, its not really a visual issue, and the sound that comes from the marina is minimal. 7. The owner and property manager were very nice and helpful. They provided a beach bag, complete with towels and a blanket, and beach chairs. Its a small amenity, but nice, nonetheless. 8. Overall, the stay was great. Try Cup2Cafe for coffee. Go bike riding on the Cape Code Canal. Have fun!

Magnifique maison

Cette maison est un vrai bijou! Maison avec une propreté impeccable, des chambres spacieuses beaucoup de rangement. Une verrière tellement agréable. Nous avons adoré la douche à l'extérieur, le calme dans le quartier. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Nous y retournerons assurément. Le seul point plus négatif c'est que dans le prix de la location les draps ne sont pas inclus, il faut compter 50$ pour la location des draps et il faut les enlever avant de quitter j'ai trouvé ça un peu cher. La propriétaire est très efficace dans ses communications. Le voisinage est aussi très gentil c'est un quartier sécuritaire très agréable en face d'une Marina. A 1h20 de Provincetown et 1h00 environ de la plage de Marconi. Il y a plusieurs autres plages à proximité dont onset beach très belle. N'hésitez pas à louer cette maison! Je le recommande vivement
