Cozy 2 Bedroom, Minutes from Capitol Hill

Lovely 2 bedroom in close proximity to Eastern Market and Capitol Hill. Easy access to public transportation a little over a mile away (5 min Uber/car ride) Eastern Market and Potomac Avenue Metro stations. Perfect location to explore Washington DC day and night! You’ll love this upcoming neighborhood, with lots of street free parking. apt recently renovated, everything is cozy and has a home feeling. Great for families, couples, girls or guys trips.
The space:
The apartment is located on the second floor of a 4 unit bldg. The place is set up for up to six persons. Guest can enjoy 2 bedrooms; comfortable beds with lots of extra pillows and blankets. Queen bed in master bedroom and full bed with twin trundle bed in second bedroom. Living room’s equipped with 2 couches, one that can be slept on.
Beautiful hardwood floors throughout the unit.
Fully stocked kitchen with pots pans and everything you need for meal preparation. In basement is laundry (request keys if you plan to use)
WiFi included with some free channels on the Amazon and Roku TVs- making this a home away from home. The place has steps for front and back entrances.
Guest access:
The entire apartment.
Other things to note
One parking spot is saved for guests out back of the property, if guests plan to enter and exit out of back door.
The property manager is available to help with any assistance, just advise me of the need. Early check-in can be coordinated for a $30 fee. However, considered on case-by-case basis.
Unit is situated less than five minutes away from DC’s major highways. Conveniently get to any part of D.C., VA, or MD.

Great spot to stay

House was clean and well decorated. Very affordable and conveniently located to a lot of the tourist attractions we checked out. I would have no issues staying here again

Great location to see DC

This was minutes from the key Washington DC sights, just as advertised. The property manager was very helpful, and the home was the perfect size for our family of 7.

Mini vacation

Property owner went above to help us out. I have a son in a wheelchair and helped carry him up and the down the stairs several times. The apartment was very cleaned and stocked with many linens. It was an amazing experience.

Good value

Very clean on arrival. Owner responded to a couple questions promptly and in a friendly manner. Had everything we needed for a quick visit to the tourist attractions.

Awesome

We loved everything the location and accommodations were key for my family and I. You guys nailed it, we felt right at home. The neighbors made us feel like we lived there. The experience was personal we were really like a normal day at home.

Property Owner very responsive

We ended up not staying at the property, the area didn’t work for us. The Property owner was very gracious, understanding and responsive when we cancelled the day of. She also gave us 50% back.

Money saver

If you are looking to save a few bucks and don't mind the college dorm vibe, this place is just fine. Neighborhood is definitely questionable but I felt safe. Free parking was nice. Trash was all over along the road. The hallway to front door did smell like smoke but our apartment smelled fine. Master bedroom mattress was very small but comfortable.. The bathroom was in need of new floor tiles but the shower worked great. . Stayed here instead of a hotel so my daughter in law wouldn't have to listen to my husband snore and it was cheaper than two hotel rooms.

Very clean and comfortable stay

The inside apartment was nice and clean really comfortable. provided everything you need, clean towels and dishes to cook. Tv apps to watch your favorite shows. answer quickly to any message. The neighbors were friendly. It was perfect. Would definitely book again.

A sorry place

We were so very disappointed with the apartment. First of all, we didn't have any instructions on how to get in so I knocked on the neighbors door and he helped us. When we got in we found it so dirty (I have pics) and furniture was marginal. Not even a bar of soap in the bathroom. So sad. Would not recommend this apartment to anyone. And now vrbo is asking for more money!

I will be looking for a refund, I travelled with 6 children, and I am appalled that Expedia or Vrbo would rent a place out like this in this neighborhood, it was so bad I went through another company and paid for a whole different room, we did even go through front door the neighborhood was so bad, I am so disgusted

Trashy neighborhood

We knew the apartment would be small, but it was extremely cramped for 4 adults. It appeared to be clean but mouse droppings were found. The neighborhood was full of trash. We did not feel safe walking to and from the bus stop. Laundry was in a scary basement. The only good part of the stay was the manager across the hall. He was very helpful and friendly.

Biden is a sellout

I love DC, we were treated well from the airport, rental company and upon arriving to our apartment rental. We enjoyed DC and Alexandria and one of our fav places to visit. I took a co worker to the White House and so many borders and security it looked like Alcatraz and a downer vibe, not vibrant like a few years back. However, we enjoyed working and after, the DC Harbor and a few other places.

The property wasn't too bad...not the best location but we didn't have any problems. The listing mentioned a washer and dryer but it wasn't in the apartment and i didn't ask about it because i wasn't going to go in the basement if there was one. Little things like the soap dispenser was just about empty and the cans of disinfectant sprays that were in the closet were empty. All in all, the apartment was kinda small for 6 peope (4 adults and 2 teens) but we made it work.

It’s decent

Host is communicative and friendly. The apartment is small and not enough for 6 or 7. Some things falling apart inside. Pretty smokey stairwell. Super busy neighborhood bc it was Fourth of July. Lots of trash on sidewalks and street. Neighbors seemed friendly. AC was nice.

Looks Are Deceiving

The pictures of this property looked very nice on VRBo, however upon arrival it was very evident this was a very bad part of town. Trash was all over the streets! My family and I did not feel safe and ended up getting a hotel room. I requested a refund, understanding it was a last minute cancellation. The property owner said she could refund half the price minus VRBO fees. Im still waiting!! Our trip was March 15th. Perhaps the host is as deceiving as the property was. Would not recommend!!!

Spring Break Trip

This properties location is perfect. Less than 15 minutes from all the historical sites and museums in DC. Herman, the on site property manager across the hall, was very helpful and respectful. The description of the unit is a little inaccurate . It would be a challenge to sleep 7 in this unit unless at least three of them are children. The metal bed frames in both bedrooms squeak at the slightest movement, so getting a good nights sleep wasn’t easy. The refrigerator got really noisy at random times(just unplug for a couple seconds) so when it happens at night it will wake you if you’re a light sleeper. The bathroom wasn’t as well supplied as other VRBO’s that we have stayed at. No hair dryer or mini hotel style soap bars and shampoo. This unit is small and probably best suited for a couple guys on a trip to see an event in town or for a family with two, maybe three small children. With just the three of us there was just enough room.

More Negatives than Positives ...

Communication with the host was excellent. There have been some updates to this property. More are needed and I question if this location is suitable for a VRBO. The max number of people to stay here comfortably is 3 maybe 4. The apartment positives include new windows, nice floors, decent kitchen cabinets, clean appliances, and reasonably comfortable beds with clean bedding and towels. The areas that are cleaned regularly were very clean. But the whole place could use a deep clean. The apartment negatives are very minimally stocked kitchen, overly used bedding and towels, bathroom walls around toilet and sink haven't been cleaned for sometime, torn living room furniture, light fixtures that don't work and very squeaky bed. The location is close to the bus stop and about a mile to the train. We walked it during the day but would not walk it at night. The neighborhood does not have a safe feeling about it. There were many bags of garbage along the sidewalks. The police responded 3 times in one night across the street. The downstairs neighbors argued loudly and someone in the building needed to change the battery in their smoke detector for days. The walls and floors are thin. There was often strong "smoke" smell coming through the window air conditioner. I was traveling with my son. If I would have been in this rental with another female, we would have not stayed.
