A walk through of the property:
-Enjoy the beautiful mornings from the screened-in porch!
The home is a single-family one-level home with only one step up to enter.
-To the left of the entryway is the open floor plan with a living room, fully equipped kitchen, and dining room. It looks out to the spacious backyard with fire pit and fenced area for your fur babies.
-The first bedroom you come across as you enter the home has a day bed trundle with two 5" gel memory foam mattresses. Great for an afternoon nap or overnight sleeping. There is also a workstation and room darkening curtains.
-At the entry of the first bedroom, there is a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer for your use.
>-Down the hallway off the kitchen/living room, you will first come across the full bathroom with shower/tub.
-Then there are two bedrooms at the end of the hallway, both with queen beds, room darkening curtains, and one with a workstation.
-The large shaded fenced area for your pup is steps away from the back door.

I wish we could have stayed longer. Our three pups loved all the new smells while they investigated most of the property. There is also a fenced area although, we didn't need to use it. Kelsey is an awesome host and provides all the details needed either in the listing, or via messaging after booking. She was quick to respond when I did reach out a couple of times but later when packing up, I found the binder, we covered accidently on arrival that may have had those answers. Whoops! The house had everything that we needed during our stay. One thing to note for future guests, while our SUV and two cars had no issue with the driveway, another Lyft driver did.

Quiet secluded area with a beautiful layout inside and out. The screened-in porch was well used on this rainy weekend. My elderly mom had no issues accessing the one step into the house which was important to us!

Cute mountain getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was convenient to Black Mountain, Montreat and Asheville. The house was clean and the dog yard was a huge plus for our pups. Would recommend!

Great little mountain escape!

Great place to bring kiddos and your dog too! Close to plenty of things to do nearby (check out the rainbow road trail and of course downtown Asheville). Host was very communicative and helpful. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back!

Anniversary

Loved the house being being. But coming up the driveway can be a little tricky. Have Toyota a solaro and we scratched bottom. IThe communication was with in 5 minutes if we asked a question at.Will come back.

Short get away

Visiting some friends in the area, this small house had plenty of room for 4 people to visit and hang out and watch movies and catch up. The owner was very responsive.

Perfect weekend getaway

Great location close to Asheville, the Blue Ridge and easy access over to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. We had a lovely time cooking dinners in the fully equipped kitchen. Every detail was considered. We would definitely stay again!

Just perfect

Adorable house! Location feels private and secluded, but is close to everything. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Our kids loved the backyard swing.

Fabulous last-minute get-away

We decided last minute to get out of town for a couple of days -- the cabin was just perfect! The location easily let us get to both Black Mountain and Asheville. The back yard was well maintained and the dog run was nice for our pup. The house was spotless and cozy -- a well stocked kitchen, soft linens, and a beautiful woodsy view out the back window. I was traveling with teens and everybody was comfortable. The house let us spread out and relax. We had a fire in the fireplace both evenings. So happy we found this gem!

1st Vrbo experience a winner!

This was the first time we have been a guest at a Vrbo and it was a great experience. Kelsey was an amazing host - great communication from start to finish, making sure we and our Australian Shepherd (Pepper) were comfortable and had everything we needed. The Blue Beauty was super clean and well stocked with everything we might possibly need or want. Although it is relatively close to the highway, it was incredibly quiet any peaceful. We would end our days of sightseeing sitting by a fire in the fire pit under the stars.

Mountain cabin

Great little mountain getaway with my family. House was perfect for 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). You would never know how close you are to downtown and feel like you are removed from it all.

We enjoyed our stay!

My family of 4 plus our dog, had a great stay! Nicely decorated interior, well stocked kitchen and great firepit area. We felt safe and comfortable all 5 nights. We enjoyed going into the Black Mountain area and also enjoyed the hiking trails at Montreat. The home had everything we needed and great communication from the host.

Lovely stay in Black Mountain

My family and I had a great time at this cabin. Our toddler slept great in the kids' room, and the house was very kid friendly. Our dog also had a good time and enjoyed the run. There are many thoughtful touches, and decor is stylish and modern. Location was convenient. Beds were comfy. Really just a nice, relaxing stay and can't wait to return to the area.

The host check in via messaging to ensure we had all we needed. The location was great and we enjoyed our stay very much. Relaxing!!! It is as it appears on line so owner does not hide anything. They go above and beyond to ensure all you need it already there

Great host and close to grocery store and town!

The cottage was adorable. The host responded to my messages quickly and answered all of my questions. She even had a necklace I left behind and put under lock and key until I could stop to get it when I was back in the area. There is an Ingles grocery store about 5 minutes away. They even carry firewood. Heading the other direction from the cottage, the town of Black Mountain is 5-7 minutes away. Fun hardware and antique stores, boutiques, Kilwins, restaurants and a coffee shop beckon.

Wonderful for long stays

Property is incredibly stocked and decorated. Thoughtfulness is etched into every room for comfort and relaxation. Great communication. Thank you again for a much needed getaway for the family.

Beautiful cottage!

Wonderful stay! Cottage is exactly as described & more. The owner has thought of everything to make you feel at home! Our family of 6 was very comfortable through our entire stay. Communication with the owner was outstanding. Kelsey was available to answer all questions before & during our stay. She was very understanding when we needed to leave a day early because of a winter storm - she gladly reimbursed us for the night we missed. Pet fee is amazing compared to other properties in the area. Kelsey even provides a fenced in run for dogs right on the property. My dogs loved every second of their stay. Property is very close to main road & grocery store but nestled into a neighborhood so you don’t feel like you are in the city. Will definitely recommend to friends & family!!

I truly love new experiences and seeing new places. I love the opportunity Airbnb provides by being able to stay in a neighborhood and see it differently than you ever could from a hotel room.

I am here to offer you a high quality of service as well as local recommendations!

Family: My family and I are from MN and moved to NC in 2014 for school/work.

Work: My background was in the environmental sector, then I turned to small business ownership in the pet industry and have recently changed my occupation, hoping to grow another business.

Free time: We love taking our kids hiking in the NC mountains and also try to get out to the beach at least once per year. Other than being out in nature, relaxing with a book and getting in exercise are my favorite things to do. Oh, and I love binge watching a good Netflix show!!

My family and I love spending time in the mountains and our cottage is perfect for enjoying the convenience of being close to the quaint vibrant mountain town of Black Mountain, while also being near hiking and the natural beauty of the area. And even a short drive to Asheville! When we're home our favorite thing to do is relax in front of the fireplace and just play around in the yard!
