Named in tribute to the owner's father's rise from humble origins on a Georgia farm to a pioneering career as a trucker and manufactured home builder, this coastal retreat offers an ideal getaway in Mexico Beach. Just steps from white sand and emerald waters, this three-bedroom is equipped for both convenience and comfort.

The bright, single-level floor plan features an open layout and inviting coastal décor. The full, island kitchen comes well-equipped with gorgeous counters and all the stainless steel appliances you'll need for home-cooking. Sit-down meal can be enjoyed at the dining table set for six. Unwind in one of the plush, living room armchairs or sofa while streaming shows and movies on the flatscreen smart TV. Modern essentials include central AC, free WiFi, and a private washer/dryer.

Morning coffee, sunset cocktails, and afternoon cookouts can be enjoyed out on the front deck equipped with a private gas grill.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect fit

Our family has been blessed to experience many vacations, but this was one of the best! The home’s proximity to the beach was perfect! Everyone had ample space and adequate sleeping arrangements. The kitchen, dining room, and family room were spacious and inviting. All in all, the 18-hour drive was well worth it! Thank you for opening up your home to us! It was perfect!

good location

Location is good, reasonable walk to the crosswalk and beach access. It’s a manufactured home. Pictures don’t do the size justice- it is VERY spacious. As other reviews have mentioned, there is an issue with the plumbing in the guest bath. STRONG smell of sewage. Since the other review had a response, we hoped it had been fixed. The smell was unbearable at times. We were there for a short trip this time, but had it been a longer trip it wouldn’t have been reasonable to sleep with the smell. Once that is fixed, it will be a great spot to stay.

C Shucker Mexico Beach

Highly, highly recommended!!! The house is very spacious, has a "homey" atmosphere as the owners want you to feel at home!! Huge kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are very spacious! Everything was very clean! And it is as close to the beach as they say! My sister and I took a mini vacation with my mom and MIL (my other mom), both who are 82 years old, and we had no problem walking to the beach. Beach access is on both sides of the end of the road, which probably wasn't but 30 yards or less (I'm not an expert) as well as both beach accesses!!! This place is highly recommended!

Quiet neighborhood, beautiful home.

The house is beautifully decorated and roomy. The refrigerator wasn’t working when we arrived, however, the repairman showed up the next morning and temporarily fixed it for our stay. The only other problem we had was that the bathtub didn’t drain well in the hall bath. You were standing in 3” of water. We didn’t report it. I would definitely stay here again though!

quietness of the dead end street/proximity to the beach/spaciousness of the floor plan of the cottage/front porch/side patio/outside shower with hot and cold water/great kitchen design/copious natural light throughout the cottage from the large windows/great light control with the blinds and curtains on all windows/proximity to the Gulf view Motel where my daughter, husband, and my two grandsons stayed for one week of our two week stay/great internet connection/comfortable beds and pillows/extra thick and large linens/copious outside lightning/great parking for two or more vehicles/walking distance to good eating places and places to shop/friendly neighbors at Harmon Realty and Gulf View Motel/close to our church home (First Baptist Church Mexico Beach) while on vacation/well insulated with no outside noises intruding/excellent climate control with comfortable conditions throughout the cottage.

Very Nice… For a Manufactured Home

The house/kitchen/master bedroom and bathroom are really nice for a vacation home. The walk to the beach is not bad and the outdoor shower was great for washing off after a day in the sand. The house is a manufactured home though, so there are subtle give-aways that it is not the highest quality house. We had an issue with the septic/sewage venting out of the tub drain and sink drain. Overall, this is a nice place to spend a short beach vacation with family/friends!

We love this cottage! So near the beach and such a comfortable layout. A huge kitchen and dining area. Big bedrooms with big beds and closets! And it’s so bright and cheerful and so clean! It helps makes our stay memorable!

Great place to stay away from the tourist traps

My wife and I stayed here for a week during our recent honeymoon, and we loved it. The house was very clean and tidy,and everything worked like a charm;no issues with amenities, wifi or anything else that can be a problem. We loved the fact that Mexico Beach is more of a private community and not downtown Panama City or Destin--very quiet and laid back place for lots of relaxing. When we did want to see a few things,Panama City/Destin is just a short .scenic drive west on the coastal highway. The beach was awesome,and at times,we almost had the entire thing to ourselves. It is a very nice place to relax and unwind,family or couple friendly. As far as the house itself,it was a very nice place to stay with just about anything and everything you need except groceries,which you will need for an extended stay. There are several small convenience stores nearby with the necessities, but a large grocery store is about 20 minutes away in Port St. Joe,about 20 minutes east of Mexico Beach. All-in-all,we loved our stay in the "C Shucker" and look forward to future stays in this community.

Thanksgiving 2023

My husband and I, along with his 91 year old father and 19 year old niece spent the week in this lovely house. When we walked it we immediately noticed the clean smell and then were blown away with how large the house is! The pictures don't do it justice. Everything we needed was provided. We had plenty of space to spread out and never felt like we were on top of each other. The only thing that needs improvement, as several others have mentioned, they desperately need to buy new frying pans.

Great house

The house was wonderful for a small family with a short walk to the beach. Not a lot of porch/grilling area but it was perfect for us. We had a wedding to attend so we didn’t need the grill. The only negative - they need new cooking pans.
