A lengthy email was sent to Parrish on SEP 20th, privately, before publishing this review. No feedback was received as of SEP 28th.While unpacking, my 12-month-old daughter crawled toward the closet in the bedroom with the queen bed and found prescription medication on the floor. The medication was identified as clonazepam, a benzodiazepine. Had my daughter ingested it, this could have resulted in a serious medical emergency. We also found what appeared to be crushed medication on the bedside table, blood on the queen bed sheets and one of the twin bed sheets, and a rusty safety pin in the twin bed sheets. We immediately contacted Parrish. Staff offered to have the room cleaned again - at that point we had already cleaned the unit ourselves. A staff member did arrive with clean sheets. When the queen-bed sheets were removed, the mattress cover was heavily stained and soiled. The staff member commented on the filthy condition and replaced it.On SEP 8th, a Parrish employee unlocked our unit and entered without knocking or announcing himself. He wanted to secure patio furniture before the hurricane. I was napping with my daughter and was caught completely off guard with a stranger in our unit while my husband was at the store. The employee apologized; entering a rented unit without permission is bizarre. The combination of prescription medication accessible to a young child, blood on the bedding, a rusty sharp pin, and unauthorized entrance was extremely unsettling.
