4 - You`ll be staying in a cabin in the woods. We apologize now if bugs make it into the cabin between cleaning and your arrival. That`s just cabin life. We have pest control service, but the bugs are smarter :)
5 - Keep it clean. When you leave it should look the same as you entered, with the exception of bed linens and towels
6 - Remember it`s our home, so treat it with respect

Great place with amazing views! Loved how close it was to great hikes and great wineries. Also love how the owners were dog people themselves! Obi (dog) had a great time!

Great location and view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pontificator's Perch! The location was very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and for exploring the area. The house was nicely appointed, comfortable and had lots of room, and the view from the deck was amazing.

Beautiful views! A perfect spot! The perch up top was our favorite. Property manager very responsive. Follow directions given not the GPS!

Quick Overnight Stay

Just needed a place to rest for a night but woke to the most beautiful long distance view. We stayed up top in the trees and it felt like we were in a tree fort! This would be great for families. We brought our big dog and he enjoyed the fact that he could run around on the plentiful decks (with gates) without us worrying about him.

Seclude, Great Views, Clean

Great stay overall. The property was clean, plenty of nature trails to hike, close to the blue ridge parkway and Chateau Morrissett Winery. We would stay there again.

We were happy that it was pretty and very Clean. We had pretty furniture and dishes, etc.

Family Weekend Getaway

We really enjoyed the views of the home and was the best part of the cabin. There isn't any AC in the house which was difficult for our 5 year old and parents over the age of 70 in middle July. The guest bedroom was a lot smaller than the pictures showed. The basement seemed very outdated and somewhat of a wasted space.

Just what we wanted

We wanted a unique mountain cabin to stay in on an East coast road trip we were on and this place was exactly what we wanted and exactly as described. The road to the house is a bit steep but we made it with our loaded 2wd Ford transit van with bikes on the back. A nice secluded weekend getaway spot for sure. Our host was super responsive as well.

Our family enjoys hosting guests from around the world. Buffalo Mountain Getaway was established in 2015 and since then we have added several properties. Check us out!

There's no place like home, except here.
The living space, on the second floor, includes a unique slab dining table and plenty of windows.  Enjoy the gas fireplace, or open all the windows for a steady breeze.    The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of utensils, plates, etc.   Also, on the second level you'll find our guest bedroom with a full/twin bunk and a 2nd full bath.  The upper level hosts the master bedroom with a unique full size bed and full size bath.  Enjoy your own deck, with table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or evening beverage.  On the lower, entry level, there is plenty of room to stretch out, enjoy Netflix and Prime Video on a spacious sectional.  It also includes a 3rd full bath and laundry.
