The Bon Bay House is the perfect place to enjoy the beach life and all it has to offer without the crowds. It is located directly on the Bon Secour Bay for you to enjoy kayaking, fishing, and other water sports. You can watch the dolphins from the deck. The home is a duplex with each side having a private deck with a wall between. It is newly furnished with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with everything you need to have a great vacation. You have a fire pit, 2 kayaks with life jackets and use of the dock for fishing. All the rooms have smart TVs, cable, and fast speed internet. A pack-n-play is available for your use (you need to bring the crib sheet). We also have a booster seat for toddlers. A charcoal grill is available for your use as well as beach chairs for a day at the beach. We are about 15 minutes to the beach, theme parks and shopping.

There is an open, wet slip available at our dock if you want to bring your boat. The neighborhood ramp is available to unload your boat.

The Bon Bay House is located in a quiet neighborhood on the Bon Secour Bay which leads out to Mobile Bay. The house is on Plash Island which is a hidden gem that many people do not know about. On the island, you can get fresh shrimp from the shrimp boats, ride your bikes, fish or just relax on the porch. Be ready to unwind and relax but know when you do need to have access to work, we have very fast free internet. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need for cooking. But on those nights when you do not want to cook, there are many restaurants close by with a variety of choices.

Biking, golf, tennis, fishing, shopping, restaurants, sightseeing, swimming, snorkeling and diving, sailing, jet-skiing, kayaking all nearby.

We are pleased to share the Bon Bay House with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

PLEASE NOTE: Because we are in a residential neighborhood, we ask that no loud music after10pm. No parties or events are allowed. We ask that you be considerate to the neighbors who live around us. We want you to be assured that cleaning is one of our highest priorities and take every measure for your protection during your stay.

We have a no pet and no smoking policy. Within 1 mile of the Bon Bay House is Sea Paws daycare and boarding for dogs.

Perfect spot great peaceful views

I loved the drive to the property down the winding roads on the island. The place was very clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Communication with our host was great just so happened they were staying in the otherside of the duplex that week. They couldnt have been nice people as we passed each other coming and going throughout the week. Beds were comfy and it was great to have fans in the bedrooms so i didnt have to bring my own. My daughter got to see the Dolphins as she was there when they made their appearance. It was also fun in the morning and evening watching the pelicans dive for food by the dock. If you want something that is close enough everything yet just far enough away from everything this is the place for you.

A hidden gem

The property was very clean, with a large open floor plan. It’s tucked away from the main touristy attractions in Gulf Shores. The fishing dock was a highlight of the property. The water view was beautiful and relaxing. We had a great stay!

Alabama get away!

Our trip was better than we could have expected. It was our first time in Alabama and we didn’t know what to expect. Staying at this house absolutely made our trip! Not only was the host super friendly, she is very easy to communicate with and made the entire thing as easy as possible. We saw dolphins every day, we caught fish everyday, kayaked and met the very friendly neighbors and quiet neighborhood. The house is very clean and super cute. We wished we didn’t have to leave and could extend our trip! I highly recommend this house, would love to come back!

Quiet Thanksgiving weekend

What a wonderful out of the way place to be. We enjoyed our stay at Bon Bay House. We love this area of “Gulf Shores”. It’s away from all the traffic and noise but a 10 minute drive can have you at a restaurant or store. The house was perfect for us. It was neat and clean. Not cluttered with decor. Plenty of storage in the kitchen for food items..which is not always the case at some rentals. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots, pans and serving pieces we needed to cook a Thanksgiving meal! The furniture and beds were comfortable. The view was relaxing and pretty. We will definitely stay here again.

We loved everything about this home, from the fishing on the dock - to kayaking - to sitting on the patio watching the dolphins! Bed was so comfortable and the location is amazing! Neighbors are kind and very friendly and we loved our stay here! Definitely will be back! Home owner was amazing to work with - couldn’t have asked for a better experience! 10+ stars!

Calm and Beautiful!

Our family had a great week on Oyster Island. We fished, biked and used the kayaks plus enjoyed the fire pit. Great location to get to all our favorite restaurants like Tin Top and Doc's. We saw dolphins every day! The house was great and stocked with all the essentials. Great place for a relaxing vacation.

Excellent location and beautiful home

We loved staying here! Beautiful home, comfortable beds, excellent view! We watched the birds and dolphins from the deck while our kids fished and caught crabs from the dock. Very quiet neighborhood away from the crowds and traffic but close enough to go in to town easily. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic vacation! Spacious, comfortable home attractively decorated. Dock was wonderful. Lots of bait, fish and crabs. Super helpful friendly hosts. Friendly neighbors as well!

Perfect in every way! The house is on a bay only minutes away from the beach, but yet is private and in a very friendly, and quiet neighborhood. You can sit on the balcony and watch the fishing boats and wildlife. We had dolphins feeding within twenty feet of the property. My elderly mother loved sitting on the deck and the dock,reading for hours, while the kids went to the beaches. Great host who were quick to answer any questions. Awesome property and Owners

We stayed at the BonBay house for the 4th of July weekend and the remaining duration of the following week. The property was amazing and had everything you need for beach trips or just lounging around the house. It is in a tucked away subdivision on plush island that gets you away from the crowds but still close enough to all the fun activities. The owners went above and beyond and even installed bumpers on there dock for my jet ski without even asking. Really appreciated that. Would recommend this spot. Oh yea and not to mention we saw dolphins from the back porch of the house!!

Great for baseball tournament.

Property was perfect for our stay. We were in town for a baseball tournament. Traveled with 2 families- 4 adults and 6 kids ages 10-15. Plenty of room. House is located 5 miles from GS Complex and close to Foley Complex. Kids fished and crabbed from the dock. Lots of yard space. Would 100% stay there again.

Perfect family getaway

Wonderful and relaxing vacation for my family! The house was perfect size, clean, and decorated nicely! The location was perfect for a family looking to relax on the water. Close to enough to all family fun activities (shopping, beach, restaurants just 15 min away) yet still quiet enough to enjoy each other and the activities made available by the owners. There is a private dock where you can fish and dolphin watch. You can also kayak and relax on the porch looking out at the water. Recommend to all families looking for quality time together!

My husband and I have been coming to Gulf Shores for the last 35 years. WE love the area of Plash Island on the Bon Secour River and Bay. When this duplex became available on the water, we jumped at the chance to purchase it. Our desire is to share the love of this area with others.

This property is a hidden gem. Close to everything without being in the crowds and traffic. Being located on the water, it provides the opportunity to do all types of water sports and fish. It such an added delight to be able to watch the dolphins off the porch. You can see the most beautiful sunrises. The duplex offers plenty of space for a family or couples.
