Wisp Resort is only five miles from your doorstep. Offering year-round recreation, you can choose from activities that include skiing, golf, snow tubing, ziplines, disc golf, and more. Head to the top of the mountain for white water rafting adventures on the manmade river at the Adventure Sports Center.

During the summer months, Deep Creek Lake State Park is a favorite destination. Their sandy beach is perfect for swimming, and there are lots of spots to have a picnic lunch. The beach hut has kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals too.

Nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts will love exploring the many other Deep Creek area state parks. Swallow Falls State Park is a must for any trip to the lake. Trails wind through a pristine forest leading you to three stunning waterfalls.

For a leisurely day in town, visit historic Oakland. From antique shops and a record store to an old-fashioned soda fountain and multiple museums, it is the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon. During the summer, you will also find a wide variety of fresh produce at the Mountain Fresh Farmers Market.
