This home can accommodate 6 people comfortably perfect for a family getaway!
Large living room with high ceiling is a great gathering place with a beautiful propane log fireplace. Spacious kitchen. Washer and Dryer. Retreat here for a much-needed fun, relaxing vacation to help unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Abundant wildlife frequently visits this quiet area.
Close access to mountain trails for hiking, ATV, the golf course that is open to the public, Rio Grande River fishing, and Wolf Creek Pass where you can enjoy some of the best Skiing in Colorado!

Great Stay

We had a great time. The property is very cozy and comfortable. Lot's of wildlife. Everything was clean and in great shape. Would definitely stay here again.

Charming Mountain Getaway

Our stay at this lovely mountain home in South Fork was absolutely delightful! It has a quaint charm and cozy atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful South Fork area. We enjoyed fly fishing the Rio Grande river and golfing at Rio Grande Golf Club. Coming back to the cabin after a day of adventure felt so relaxing.We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, the comfortable beds, the fireplace, the dog run.If you're looking for a peaceful and charming mountain retreat in South Fork, Colorado, this home is an excellent choice. We highly recommend it and hope to return again someday!

Great destination

Stayed here for an elk hunting trip. Was perfect. Driveway and neighborhood was too tight for our equipment trailer but we just left it on the mountain so everything worked out great. Would definitely stay again.

Great property that was perfect for our family and dog.

This house was exactly what we wanted for our recent pre Thanksgiving mountain getaway. It was nice to bring our dog and not have to worry with boarding her while we were gone.

Beautiful time

The home was cozy and inviting, close to everything in town and a short trip to the slopes for skiing and snowboarding. Definitely would stay again.

South Fork Fishing Trip

We were in South Fork to fish the Rio Grande for several days. The house location couldn't have been better. Its amazingly well appointed and in a great location.

Wonderful find!

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was larger than expected and the pet friendliness aspect (and secure, fenced dog run) gave us a sound piece of mind. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect comfort and location

My friends and I stayed at this charming home while skiing at Wolf Creek. It was perfectly situated with everything you need in the kitchen and even a warm fireplace to relax by. The home seemed very pet friendly with a small fenced in yard and crates for sleeping comfort. I wish I could have had my pup with me to take advantage.

Work Stay

Stayed here for work.. The house was not clean! Hair around the sinks. Very clearly hadn’t even been cleaned. Animal hair absolutely everywhere… I understand it’s a pet friendly home but still. Overall the property is in great shape! Good location! Had pretty much all the basic things we needed! Just needs to be much much cleaner……..

Beautiful, well decorate and spacious home! Unfortunately, the rugs and carpet was not vacuumed. I vacuumed a lot of dog and dust off the carpet and area rugs. I swept and wiped down the flooring in the kitchen, dining area and living room. There was dust, dirt, tiny gravels, food crumbs, and dog hair on the floor!

Great Mountain Getaway

We stayed here for 8 days as overflow from a family reunion. We really enjoyed the spacious, comfortable living and dining areas and the well equipped kitchen. It was wonderful to have a place that was so dog-friendly. Our dog was fascinated by the mule deer and bunnies right outside the windows. South Fork was experiencing an unusual heat spell, with no afternoon monsoons while we were there, so the house was quite warm in the evenings, even with fans running. The upstairs loft was fine for two small people, but tall or large folks would find it cramped. We were surprised that the primary bedroom's bath did not have a toilet, requiring the use of the half bath just outside the bedroom. This was no big deal for us. Heat aside, it was a very welcoming place. The location is central to so many activities. We would happily recommend it to anyone.

Felt Like Home

This small house felt like home right from the start, loved all the owners' personal touches and is perfect for a couple or small family, not with too small children, since the second bedroom on the second floor is accessible via a spiral staircase. It's an older home but other than the master bath sink has been nicely updated. The kitchen and breakfast nook have large windows for watching the sunrise, the large dining area seats 6 adults comfortably and the great room is comfortably roomy with large windows overlooking the back yard (we watched a couple of male mule deer wonder through!). The fenced side yard is great for the family dog, too. A few things that would have been nice to have available are 1) at least one cutting board in the kitchen, 2) a couple of throw blankets on the sofas to cuddle up when the evenings get chilly and 3) better quality toilet paper! Note on the layout of the house--there is only one toilet on the main floor, in the hall half bath. The master bath has a nice large shower, a sink and the washer and dryer. It was not an issue for just the two of us (and our dog), but noteworthy nonetheless. One other amenity that would really add to the pleasure of this home would be the addition of a back deck for BBQ's and evening enjoyment (though we understand that is a major expense). We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for the pleasurable stay and for being easy to reach with our initial questions.

Family ski trip

We ski between Christmas and New Year every year. This cabin was perfect. It is hard to leave behind our Christmas decorations and travel, the cabin was decorated so well we felt like it was still the holidays even though we were traveling. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great place just as advertised.

Love the South Fork area. Stayed and played 2 days of golf at Rio Grande Golf Club only a mile away.

Absolutely Wonderful!

The photos on VRBO don't do this cabin justice. It is MUCH roomier and well lit than the pics show. The living room has one whole wall of windows giving a beautiful view of the back of the cabin and the visiting birds and wildlife, and there is a wall of beautiful bookshelves which houses a large screen TV. There are TV's in both bedrooms as well. The breakfast nook seats four and offers a beautiful view out the front while eating. A sunroom in the rear has a dining table with seating for six. Unlike most cabins in South Fork, the back patio offers privacy from neighbors or passersby. We loved everything about this cabin and the host (Beau Realty) is the best. We had a couple of questions upon arriving, called the after-hours number, and Karen promptly answered and was most courteous and helpful.
