This spacious and beautiful condo has the most wonderful location. The pool and beach are right there and so well maintained. We loved everything about this condo and will return again.

The pool was heated which was nice because the weather was colder while we were there.

Good two weeks.

The property was as advertised. Clean and bright. Some construction was happening in other buildings, which was a nuisance, but the owner could not control it.

Nice to be back in FMB

The Gullwing was one of the only properties renting in south Fort Myers Beach. We have been waiting to get since the hurricane. The condo was beautiful. The complex is actually under construction but it wasn’t bad at all. FMB is still a work in progress. Very few stores open and a lot of construction. Stop to buy things in Bonita Springs or in San Carlos. Recommend this condo!

Nice location, not worth the extra fees

Property location is nice, but all the extra fees does not make it worth it. However the unit does not comfortably sleep 6 adults'. Be sure to ask questions and be prepared to supply any and all amenities, even if its listed that the amenity is included.

beautiful once you get the key

The unit was as shown and Fort Myers Beach is a wonderful place to visit. Our only issue was finding the key. We flew in late and it was dark at our arrival. The information given directed us to look for the key box on the front side of a different building, and put in a code. The building was dark and the front side of the building only had the building numbers on it with no box. After walking around the entire building we found the box on the far side in complete darkness. Thank God for phone flashlights or we would have never found it.

Get away with Mom.

Great location and clean condo. Had some issues, that the management company always just said, they would put a request in to get repairs done. Repairs were never completed. Multiple non-functioning blinds, only one of 3 TVs worked completely and clogged garbage disposal. Also would take note that multiple screens were missing from the outside porch and were covered with plastic black mesh. Definite eye sore. Pool and beach were perfect. If you plan on doing much cooking, this apt. is not for you.

A horrible mess!

On the first night of our trip, we arrived at the airport around 1:17am we took an Lyft and arrived at the lockbox, as instructed via text, to gain access to the room and found the box empty. Ultimately called multiple hotels locally which were unavailable and had to return via Lyft to the airport to retrieve a rental car. You can imagine the disappointment I felt when met with no room on the first night of my last vacation with my 26 week pregnant daughter prior to her having a baby. Beyond this, we made multiple phone calls trying to get in touch with a customer service rep that were not fruitful. I understand that issues arise but I want to be clear because this absolutely affected my perception of your organization and contributed to an overall increase in stress and inability to fully relax on a vacation that was far from inexpensive. would be appreciated.

Perfect Location, Great View!

I would give 5 stars except that the communication for checking in was not clear. I was told to go to some office in a different building to pick up keys from a lock box. We went to the address they sent in the text message and there was no office or lock box. I called and a CSR sent me to another office building where we found the lock box but there was nothing in it. I called and a different CSR said to just go straight to the unit and we were finally able to get in, we just wasted an hour and a half driving around, waiting on hold, etc. Once there, the place was lovely! Very clean, plenty of towels, blankets, extra pillows. It was very spacious, with a wonderful view of the beach and the ocean. We were super glad the balcony was screened in because the mosquitos were fierce as soon as the sun went down. Online pictures and description was accurate. We absolutely loved being able to just go down the elevator to the pool and then walk right out on the beach. My only other complaint was that there was lots of noisy construction going on all day every day and I wish that had been communicated to me before our stay. At one point while we were in the pool, debris from above was falling into the pool. Mostly harmless soft pieces of foam or plastic wrap, but there was one or two small (quarter sized) pieces of concrete that fell into the pool from several stories up where construction workers were drilling. There was only a partial barrier to catch debris. Otherwise we loved it!

The stay was fine and the place was as advertised. I would stay there again, with one exception - we had an early morning flight into the area. The unit was not booked the night before, but they refused to let us check in until 4 pm unless they paid their 70 extortion fee that only would get us in at 1 pm. What’s the purpose of this??? I get it if it was booked the night before - need to adjust the cleaning crew, etc. Also - I can guarantee that the homeowner of this property is not receiving this fee - it’s the management company that is pushing this. Because of this, I will not stay at a Distinctive Beach Rental property again as this is “their policy”. Again - makes ZERO sense when not booked the night before - only about the almighty . In addition, you would expect an appropriate amount of toiletries when staying there - no shampoo, no beach towels, limited toilet paper, and paper towel. We had to buy our own. This isn’t a big deal and was clear in the instructions, but you’re spending a lot of for these places - a little bit of extra effort would have been appreciated.

Maintenance and supplies

Refrigerator quit working halfway through. They supplied a used one after several calls and hours partialy blocking the kitchen access. Dishwasher was barely usable because of rusted racks. Kitchen did not have pot holders or hot plates. Limited amount of kitchen utensils.

Great location

The North end of the island is fun but, the south end is just far away enough away with good restaurants. This allows you to take in the party life in small doses if you want too.
