Perfect romantic getaway for two! Private retreat in the countryside.

Our private boho cottage was completely remodeled from the ground up in 2021 and feels completely new and fresh with a large spa like bathroom and plenty of space for relaxing. Big French doors open to an expansive private deck for enjoying your morning coffee or sipping an amazing wine from one of many wineries just a stones throw away. Walking distance to Rodney Strong and J Wineries. Just 3.5 miles from the town of Healdsburg, our studio is the perfect getaway for cyclists, foodies, wine enthusiasts, or anyone who just wants to escape from the big city and enjoy a little bit of the Northern California lifestyle.

Cottage getaway in Healdsburg

The cottage was comfortable, well-appointed and very clean, and we loved the deck and being right across the street from vineyards. The location was wonderful -- just a five minute drive into downtown Healdsburg and on the way to a number of wonderful wineries. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great remodeled barn!

Beautifully remodeled barn. Perfect for a couple. Great location, quiet and very well maintained. We would stay there again for sure if we ever get back and would recommend to friends.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful and relaxing stay with my husband for our 9th wedding anniversary. Sally is a very thoughtful host! The Barn was very clean and lovely to stay in. The porch was very nice to relax out on all throughout the day. Highly recommend!

Parents getaway weekend!

My husband and I absolutely adored our stay. Everything about the property was dreamy... from the morning light that filtered in through the sky light, to the soaking tub, to the beautiful sunsets and rolling hills filled with rows of vineyards. We will definitely be back for another weekend getaway!

Cozy stay in wine country

Adorable, renovated barn with upstairs loft. Lovely deck to enjoy a coffee or lunch outside. Very peaceful and secluded yet close to shops and downtown Healdsburg. highly recommend !

Comfortable and great location

Rental was everything we needed for a week in wine country. Clean, comfortable, safe. Location is close to restaurants and wineries in both Healdsburg and Windsor. And centrally located for day trips to the coast, Napa, and Mendocino. East to check in and no issues to resolve.

Perfect stay

We loved our stay in the barn! The home is well appointed and very comfortable for a couple. We loved sitting on the deck looking at the foothills and neighboring vines. Plus the location can’t be beat! Sally is an excellent host. We will absolutely be back.

A great secluded spot for a weekend getaway!

The renovated barn was a very cozy stay for me and my partner, we had a wonderful time getting some unbothered R&R! The property was clean and the owners were friendly. We did have a small problem with the lock that we let Sally know about, but it didn't impede our stay at all. You won't regret booking this one!

Wonderful place

This little place is very, very cool. Almost brand new and so well done. We loved it. Easy, short commute to Healdsburg and Sonoma. Bright and cheerful, awesome big bath, great private deck, nice firm bed, we’ll stocked small kitchen area. Helpful host. Total package deal. Book it !!

Perfect Stay in Wine Country

My husband and I traveled to Sonoma for a long weekend. We stayed at Susan’s “barn” and cannot say enough nice things about it. It is less than 10 minutes from the Healdsburg square but peaceful like it is miles away from everything. The place is extremely clean and feels brand new. The decor is welcoming and tasteful. Pour over coffee on the deck was amazing. One of my favorite things about the place is the large skylight in the bathroom over the shower. We highly recommend this rental and will be coming back.

A slice of Heaven amongst the vines.

The Barn is AMAZING!! Sally has really set up a spectacular experience. Roomy and warm. Such an amazing comfortable place to sleep and relax. The front porch is calming and the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. Relax in a warm bath while enjoying the stars above through the huge skylight. Charming downtown shopping and delicious restaurants within 5-7 minutes drive. Superb wine tasting literally around the corner. Feels like home away from home. Your own private drive and parking area really make you feel that you are in your own private paradise.

Lovely getaway from the Bay

I wanted a weekend getaway and booked this lovely cottage in Healdsburg. Until I drove up and experienced it, I had no idea what a tranquil and rejuvenating weekend it would end up being for me. The cottage is tucked behind the main residence with its own entrance and parking area. You have the whole back yard and private deck to yourself to sit and enjoy early in the morning or at the end of the day. Inside the cottage, there are great amenities and personal touches to make you feel at home. And, if you are in town to experience Healdsberg and the area filled with amazing restaurants and wineries, you will have great local recommendations by the host. Whether you are in the area for vacation or in need a peaceful getaway, I would highly recommend this cottage. You will not regret it!

I adore this amazing place we call home and can give you the inside scoop on all the local happenings to make your stay at the cottage super special.

Our property has the unique qualities of being both close to everything, yet private and spacious. We have a large open pasture and gardens where you can wander, or take a stroll up our private lane for breathtaking views of the vineyards and mountains. The cottage itself is a haven. Really. Truly a space that is cozy and super cute. And the deck! On sunny days, this is where you will be when you are at the cottage.

I am a ceramicist with a working studio on the property. If you are into ceramics and want to see my work, I love opening up my studio to guests. Most of the pottery in the cottage is mine and available to purchase! Is cycling your thing? My husband is an avid cyclist and knows all the best routes in the area! Just ask us. :-)
